IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
!
WARNING: When using electrical and pneumatic equipment such as this, basic
safety precautions should always be followed to reduce the risk of personal injury. Please familiarize yourself with the following information to prevent dam­age to your equipment and injury to the operator, property damage, or death.
READ ALL INSTRUCTIONS BEFORE USING THIS TOOL
We strongly recommend that this tool not be modied and /or used for any application other than that for which it was designed. If you have any questions relative to its application, do not use the tool until you have written us and we have

advised you.
1. SAFETY GLASSES To prevent eye injuries, the tool operator and all persons
in the work area must wear approved safety glasses with permanently at-
tached, rigid side shields.
2. EAR PROTECTION Wear ear protection to safeguard against possible hearing
loss.
3. USE CLEAN, DRY, REGULATED, COMPRESSED AIR at 70 to 90 psi / 488 to
621 kPa / 4.88 to 6.2 bar.
4. DO NOT CONNECT TOOL to pressure which potentially exceeds 200 psi /
1379 kPa / 13.8 bar.
5. AIR HOSE Only use hose that is rated for a minimum working pressure of 150
psi or 150% of the maximum system pressure, whichever is greater.
6. NEVER USE OXYGEN, CARBON DIOXIDE, COMBUSTIBLE GASES or any
other bottled gas as a power source for this tool. Explosion and serious per­sonal injury could result.
7. COUPLINGS Connect tool to air supply hose with a 1/4" NPT coupling that
removes all pressure from the tool when the coupling is disconnnected.
8. DISCONNECT TOOL FROM AIR SUPPLY hose before doing any disassembly,

maintenance, clearing a jammmed fastener, leaving the work area, moving the
tool to another location, or handing the tool to another person.
9. NEVER USE A TOOL that is leaking air, has missing or damaged parts, or
requires repair. Make sure all screws and caps are securely tightened.
10. CHECK FOR DAMAGED PARTS. Never use a tool if safety, trigger, or spring
are inoperable, missing or damaged. Do not alter or remove safety, trigger, or springs. Make daily inspections for the free movement of trigger and safety
mechanism.
11. REPLACEMENT PARTS. When servicing, use only identical replacement
parts and fasteners recommended by us.
12. CONNECT TOOL TO AIR SUPPLY BEFORE loading fasteners to prevent
fasteners from ring during connection. The fastener driving mechanism may cycle when the tool is connected to the air supply.
13. ALWAYS ASSUME THE TOOL CONTAINS FASTENERS. Keep it pointed
away from yourself and others at all times. No horseplay.
14. DO NOT LOAD FASTENERS with trigger or safety depressed. The tool may
unintentionally re a fastener.
15. DO NOT DEPRESS THE TRIGGER when not driving fasteners. Never carry
tool with nger on trigger mechanism: tool may re an unwanted fastener.
16. DO NOT OVERREACH. Keep proper footing and balance at all times. Do not
reach over or across machines which are running.
17. FIRE FASTENERS INTO WORK SURFACE ONLY and never into materials
too hard to penetrate
18. GRIP TOOL FIRMLY to maintain control while allowing the tool to recoil away
from the work surface as the fastener is driven. If the safety is allowed to recontact the work surface before the trigger is released, an unwanted fastener will be red.
19. DO NOT DRIVE FASTENERS on top of other fasteners, or with the tool at too
steep an angle: the fasteners can ricochet causing personal injury.
20. DO NOT DRIVE FASTENERS too close to the edge of the workpiece. The
workpiece is likely to split, allowing the fasteners to y free or ricochet causing personal injury.

21. STAY ALERT. Keep hands and body away from the path of any potential red
fastener. Watch what you are doing & use common sense. Do not operate any tool when you are tired.
22. GUARD AGAINST ELECTRIC SHOCK. Prevent body contact with grounded
surfaces: pipes, radiators, ranges, and refrigerator enclosures. Before driving fasteners into walls, oors, or wherever “live” electrical wires may be encoun­tered, try to ascertain whether there is a danger of shock.
23. KEEP WORK AREA CLEAR of obstructions.
24. EMPLOYERS must enforce compliance with the safety warnings and all other
instructions in this manual. Keep it available for use by everyone assigned to use this tool.
SPECIFICATIONS
2” BRAD NAILER
= Shoots industry standard 18 gauge brad nails in the following sizes: 15 mm
(5/8"), 20 mm (3/4"), 25 mm (1"), 30 mm (1-3/16"), 35 mm (1-3/8"), 40 mm (1-9/16"), 45 mm (1-3/4"), and 50 mm (2").
= These brads are perfect for installing trim and mouldings, for cabinet and fur-
niture making, picture framing, and for applications where gluing is necessary, but clamping is impractical.
= Air consumption is 2 – 4 cfm / 57-113 litres per min @ 414-621 kPa / 60 to 90
psi.

SETUP & OPERATION
AIR SYSTEM
= The brad nailer is designed to operate on clean, dry, compressed air, regulated
at 60-100 psi / 413 to 690 kPa / 4.13 to 6.9 bar. The preferred system would include a lter, a pressure regulator, and an automatic oiler located as close to the tool as possible (within 15 feet / 5 meters is ideal). Do not use bottled air or gases. Please see gure below:
= All compressed air contains moisture and other contaminants that can harm
the internal components of the tool. An air line lter will remove most of these and signicantly prolong the life of the tool. Ensure the in-line oiler has suf­cient oil. If an in-line oiler is not available, place 2 drops of oil into the tool’s air inlet at the beginning of each workday. More than this will be expelled from the tool’s exhaust during ring.

= Air Fitting: The nailer should be equipped with a 1/4" NPT male plug for a ‘quick
connector’. To prevent accidental cycling even though disconnected, the tool must always be connected to the air supply in such a way that all air pressure in it is released when the coupling is disconnected.
CAUTION:
=Allairlinecomponents(includinghoses,pipe,connectors,lters,&regulators,
etc.) must be rated for a minimum working pressure of 150 psi / 1034 kPa /
10.3 bar or 150% of the maximum system pressure, whichever is greater.
= Disconnect the tool from the air supply before performing maintenance,

CONNECTING THE TOOL
1. Turn the compressor on.
2. Set the regulator to proper pressure for the size and type of fasteners being used.
3. After reading and understanding this entire manual, connect tool to air supply.
CAUTION:
= Keep the tool pointed away from yourself and others at all times. = Do not load fasteners with air connected, safety or trigger depressed. = Always wear approved safety glasses and hearing protection when preparing
or operating this tool.
= Never use a tool that leaks air or needs repair.
LOADING THE FASTENERS
1. Disconnect the tool from the air supply. Do not load or adjust the tool if it is connected to the air supply.
2. Depress the LOCK (64) to release the MOVABLE MAGAZINE (53) and pull the magazine out fully as shown.
3. Place a full stick of the desired type and size of fasteners on the FIXED MAGAZINE (58). Up to 100 fasteners can be loaded in the magazine.
4. Push the MOVABLE MAGAZINE UNIT (53) forward until the LOCK (64) clicks and locks it.
5. The tool is ready to operate.

OPERATING THE TOOL
1. The depth to which a brad is driven is determined by the supplied air pressure. Test re a brad into a sample of the material you will be working on and check depth. If a change is desired, adjust the regulator to supply air at a higher or lower pressure. Test re another fastener and check depth again. Adjust as
necessary.
CAUTION:
= Keep tool pointed in a safe direction at all times. = Never attempt to drive fasteners into materials too hard to penetrate, at too
steep an angle, or too near the edge of the workpiece. The fastener can
ricochet causing personal injury. = Disconnect tool from air supply before doing any disassembly, maintenance,
clearing a jammmed fastener, leaving the work area, moving the tool to another location, or handing the tool to another person.
= Clean and inspect the tool daily. Carefully check for proper operation of trigger
and safety mechanism. Do not use the tool unless both the trigger and the safety mechanism are functional, or if the tool is leaking air or needs any other repair.
2. Make sure the air pressure is within the limits mentioned in SPECIFICATIONS.
3. Hold the BODY (22) and press DRIVE GUIDE (50) against the work surface, being sure the tool is perpendicular to the surface.

4. Gently squeeze the TRIGGER (39) to drive the fastener.
5. Lift the tool off the work surface.
MAINTENANCE
DAILY MAINTENANCE
CAUTION: Disconnect tool from air supply before cleaning and inspection.
Correct all problems before putting the tool back in service.
= Wipe tool clean and inspect for wear or damage. Use non-amable clean-
ing solutions to wipe exterior of tool only if necessary. Do Not Soak tool with cleaning solutions. Such solutions can damage internal parts.
= Inspect trigger and safety mechanism to assure system is complete and func-
tional: no loose or missing parts, no binding or sticking parts.
= Keep all screws tight. Loose screws can cause personal injury or damage the
tool.
= If the tool is used without an in-line oiler, place 2 drops of air tool oil into
the air inlet of the tool at the beginning of each workday and after about 1 hour of continuous use. Frequent but not excessive lubrication is required
for best performance. Oil added through the airline connection will lubricate all internal parts. Use only air tool oil. Do not use oil with detergents or other additives. These can cause damage through accelerated wear to the seals in
the tool.
= Use a small amount of oil on all exterior moving parts and pivots. = Dirt and water in the air supply are major causes of pneumatic tool wear. See
the section on SETUP & OPERATION: AIR SYSTEM for more information.
= Keep tools clean for better and safer performance. Use non-ammable
cleaning solutions sparingly and only if necessary. Do not soakparts in the solutions.
