The tray icon may be hidden in some Windows XP operating system settings. Click the "Display hidden icon" to view the hidden icon.
Hardware safe removal may not be available while using some applications such as Windows Explorer or Windows Media Player. Please close all applications using the product before the hardware safe removal process.
In some Windows XP operation system settings, hardware safe removal is temporarily unavailable due to some internal system communication. Please wait and try again.

1. Select the “Safely Remove Hardware” after clicking the “Safe To Remove Hardware” by right-clicking your mouse.
2. Click the “Stop” after selecting the device to remove.
3. Click “OK” after confirming the hardware to remove.

Charging the battery
Note
You can charging the battery at tuned off the player. Charging time : Approx. 3.5 hours (At fully discharged/Stop mode)
1. Connect the player to PC after push the USB lever and pull out the USB connection port as below picture.
If the icon is displayed, the battery is out of power and you should charge the battery .
2. “USB Connected” on the display is appeared, charging indicator is displayed.

3. Disconnect the player to PC when charge is completed and then pull in USB connection port as picture.
1. The program installation process will start automatically after inserting the Installation CD to the PC's CD-ROM drive. If the program installation process does not start automatically, click the "My Computer"icon and run “iriver2_setup_full.exe ” file in the CD-­ROM drive.
2. If the "Installer Language"window appears, select the desired language and click the [OK ] button.
3. Follow the on screen instructions, which appear as each window.
4. If the "License Agreement" window appears,click the [I Agree ] button.

The minimum PC requirements for running iriver plus are as follows.
When you connect T20 to your PC, iriver plus 2 will be started and all titles and Playlists in the library will be transferred to T20 In addition, you can create and manage your own Playlist.

2. Select the files on the PC to transfer to the player. Drag and drop to copy files to the desired location on the player.
1. Push the USB lever and pull out the USB connection port as below picture and connect the player to the PC. (Refer to page 12) The iriver plus 2 will execute automatically.
Deleting a file on the player

Use proper boost value depends on t he earphones or headphone characteristics.

Select scroll type and speed of the current title playback information.
The scroll type can be set to:
<VERTICAL> or <HORIZONTAL>.
The scroll speed can be set to:

You can set recording quality (<HIGH>, <MIDDLE> or <LOW>) when recording voice.

The voice recording mode will automatically pause during silence. This is useful for recording over a long period of time to save memory.
LEVEL : Set the relative level of sound needed to activate the recorder. (<OFF>, <01>, <02>, <03>, <04> or <05>) TIME(SEC) : Set the number of seconds of silence to record before pausing.(<OFF>, <01>, <02>, <03>, <05> or <10>)

5. Line-In Volume
You can control volume for recording from voice.
<0> to <31> levels are available.
6. Track Separation
While recording from external device, you can adjust the track separation time to save each track as an individual file if there is no sound part between the tracks.
If you use the Track Separation function with connecting external devices such as CD or tape, each track will be save to an individual file.

5. Study Mode
While playing, press and hold , button will skip the current track set time ahead.
Time range can be set from <OFF>, <3 SEC>, <10 SEC>, <20 SEC>, <30 SEC>, <60 SEC>, <120 SEC> or <180 SEC>. OFF : Study Mode function does not activate.
6. Delete File
While playback is stopped, you can delete a file on the player. (Refer to page 30)
When in Delete file screen, press the button after selecting a file to delete it. YES : Delete selected a file. NO : Cancel the delete function.

When the Load Default is done, the player will be rebooted automatically.

Memory is formatted and all saved files are deleted.

Note
Before upgrading the firmware, check the condition of the battery. The firmware upgrade may fail due to low battery. Your computer must be connected to the internet for the "Firmware Update" function. Do not turn the player off until the upgrade is completed.
What is firmware ?
It is the operating system that works in the T20. iriver provides you with the latest and best features through Firmware upgrade. You can choose manual or automatic upgrade function. For information on automatic upgrade,refer to the iriver plus 2 instruction manual.
Please initialize T20 player in the following cases.
All music,pictures,text,and data will be erased from the player during this initialization.
-if there appears to be corruption on the internal hard drive.
-if an error message displays and the player doesn't boot properly.
Initializing T20
1. Push the USB lever and pull out the USB connection port as below picture and connect theplayertothePC.

OFF position)
Check the condition of the battery. Insert a fresh battery. Check whether VOLUME is set to "0".
Firmly connect the earphones. Check whether the plug is dirty. Clean the plug with a dry and soft
