Indicators
Each Blue LED on the 4 level power bar represents 25% of the
total battery power available .
When the unit is being charged the blue LED lights will ash.
75-100%

Status indicator is a tri-colour LED that will change from green,
yellow, or red depending on status.
Green LED Light: Battery is on and delivering
power to connected devices.
Yellow LED Light: Battery is on and power
available but there are no connected devices

Chapter 2:
Getting Started
Set up Xenon portable battery

To get started with the ION Xenon
portable battery you will rst unbox the
new unit.

Use the supplied AC/DC adapter to
charge the system to 100% before use.
You can use the USB ports while
recharging the ION Xenon portable
battery.

Plug the 5.5mm / 2.1mm DC jack into
the “DC IN” located on the ION Xenon
battery. Once this has been done plug
the 3 pin Australian plug into mains to
charge the ION Xenon battery.
Please note that the ION Xenon will
automatically turn on when you plug in
the DC input. This will be indicated by
the status indicator lighting up.

To turn your ION Xenon battery On
or Off press and hold down the power
button for 3 seconds, the round status
indicator will turn orange once on if
there is no load attached.

Attach a load / equipment to the USB
ports or DC output.

powering the attached equipment.

Basics
Start up
Press the power button for three seconds to turn the ION Xenon
battery on, the round Tri colour status indicator will light up orange
if no equipment is attached.
Indicators
The ION Xenon blue LED power bar has four blue LED’s, each
indicating 25% of the total battery power available. A single press of
the power button, will show the battery charge level at any time. The
ION Xenon battery also has a tri colour status LED indicator:
Green LED Light: Battery is on and delivering power to
connected devices.
Yellow LED Light: Battery is on and power available but there are
no connected devices drawing power.
Red LED Light: Battery is on but running low.
Connecting Devices
The ION Xenon portable battery comes with two high speed
12Watt 5V, 2.5Amp USB charging outlets designed for phones,
tablets and any other compatible USB devices. It also includes a
DC output for higher voltage devices like compatible 19V/4.5Amp
laptops and tablets. Once any compatible device is attached to the
ION Xenon portable battery the Tri Colour LED will turn green to
show it is connected.
Power Down
Hold the power button until the indicator lights turn off.
About the battery
The ION Xenon comes with a 148Wh / 40,200mAh internal battery
string to keep all your devices going in times of need.

Operating Modes
Portable battery bank mode
The ION Xenon acts as a primary power source when devices are
connected to it while it is not connected to mains power.
UPS Mode
(Uninterruptable Power Supply)
When the ION Xenon is connected to mains power and mains
power fails the unit will act like a UPS and will turn on automatically
supplying power to the connected devices.

Safety and handling
Safety Features
The ION Xenon Portable battery has been designed with a large
range of safety features
• Overload protection
• Overheating protection
• Output short circuit protection, will shut down under
low voltage, over voltage/current situations to protect
the device
Important safety information
Note: Rechargeable batteries have limited number of charge
cycles and may eventually need to be replaced by an ION UPS Pty
Ltd authorised provider. Battery life and number of charge cycles
vary.
WARNING: Failure to follow these safety instructions could
result in re, electric shock, injury, or damage to ION Xenon
PJ-150 or other property. Read all the safety information below
before using ION Xenon PJ-150.
Handling
Handle ION Xenon PJ-150 with care. It is made of metal, and plastic
and has sensitive electronic components inside. ION Xenon PJ-150
can be damaged if dropped, burned, punctured, crushed, or if it
comes in contact with liquid.
Repairing
Don’t open ION Xenon PJ-150 and don’t attempt to repair it
yourself.
Disassembling ION Xenon PJ-150 may damage it or may cause
injury to you. If ION Xenon PJ-150 is damaged, malfunctions or
comes in contact with liquid, contact ION UPS Pty Ltd.

Battery
Don’t attempt to replace the battery in ION Xenon PJ-150 yourself
as you may damage the battery which could cause overheating and
injury. The lithium-ion battery in ION Xenon should be replaced
only by ION UPS Pty Ltd, and must be recycled or disposed of
separately from household waste. Don’t incinerate the battery.
Charging
Charge ION Xenon PJ-150 with the included AC/DC adapter
and cable. Using damaged cables or chargers, or charging when
moisture is present can cause re, electric shock, injury, or damage
to ION Xenon or other property.
