TheintendedfunctionanduseoftheInvacare®Perfecto₂™V
OxygenConcentratoristoprovidesupplementaloxygentopatients
withrespiratorydisorders,byseparatingnitrogenfromroomair,by
wayofamolecularsieve.Itisnotintendedtosustainorsupportlife.
1.4Description
TheInvacarePerfecto
respiratorydisorderswhorequiresupplementaloxygen.Thedevice
isnotintendedtosustainorsupportlife.
Theoxygenconcentrationleveloftheoutputgasrangesfrom87%
to95.6%.Theoxygenisdeliveredtothepatientthroughtheuse
ofanasalcannula.
TheInvacarePerfecto
pressureswingadsorptionmethodologytoproducetheoxygen
gasoutput.Ambientairentersthedevice,isfilteredandthen
compressed.Thiscompressedairisthendirectedtowardoneof
twonitrogenadsorbingsievebeds.
Concentratedoxygenexitstheoppositeendoftheactivesievebed
andisdirectedintoanoxygenreservoirwhereitisdeliveredtothe
patient.

patientinahomeenvironmentorinaninstitutionalenvironment.

4.1OptionalAccessories
Therearemanydifferenttypesofhumidifiers,oxygentubing,cannulas
andmasksthatcanbeusedwiththisdevice.Youshouldcontact
yourlocalhomecaresupplierforrecommendationsonwhichof
thesedeviceswillbebestforyou.Theyshouldalsogiveyouadvice
ontheproperusage,maintenance,andcleaning.
Thesupplyaccessories(nasalcannula,mask,tubing,humidifier,etc.)
usedtodeliveroxygentothepatientneedtoincludeameansto
reducethepropagationoffireintheaccessoriesforthesafetyofthe
patientandothers.Ifacommerciallyavailable,fire-activatedflow
stopdeviceisusedintheaccessoriessetup,itshouldbeplacedas

Itisanelectronicallyoperateddevicethatseparatesoxygenfrom
roomair.Itprovideshighconcentrationofoxygendirectlytoyou
throughanasalcannula.Clinicalstudieshavedocumentedthat
oxygenconcentratorsaretherapeuticallyequivalenttoothertypesof
oxygendeliverysystems.
Yoursupplierwillshowyouhowtouseyouroxygenconcentrator.

excesswateroffthenasalprongswhenfinishedbefore
placingonthepatient.

(includinghumidifierbottleandotheraccessories,if
applicable)andrepeat.Contactyourdealerorservice
supplierimmediatelyifbubblesstilldonotappear.
