byoneperson.

TheI-Transia’smaximumloadmustneverbeexceeded.TheI-Transiamayonlybeusedtoliftormoveaperson
withdisabilities.
–Thefreestandingrailsystemmustnotbeusedforany
otherpurposethanthatstatedinthisusermanual.The railsystemisnotaplaygroundoraswingdevice.
–IftheI-Transiafailswhileinuse,stopusingthehoist,
transferthepatientusingadifferentmethodand contactanInvacaredealerforrepairbyacertified technician.
–Thisproductismechanicallyprotectedagainstderailing
andjamming.
–Theendstopshavetobeproperlyinstalledandlocked
withspringpins,andthe2yellowthumbscrewson thetopbracketshavetobeproperlytightenedbefore usingthesystem.

Thecomponent,e.g.hangerbar,liftingsling,etc.labelledwiththe lowestloadlimitdeterminesthemaximumloadlimitfortheentire system.
Thismaximumloadlimitmustnotbeexceeded.
Pleasenotethatthemaxloadmaychangewhendifferentcomponents areused,suchashangerbars,liftingslings,etc.

2.Removetheendstopfromtherail.
Itmaybenecessarytotilttheendstopasyouremove itfromtherail.
Iftheendstopcannotbetiltedandremoved,removethe twoscrewsfromtheendstop.
3.InsertthehoistJintotherailE.
9.LocktherailmoduleEtothetopbracketmoduleCwiththe twoyellowthumbscrewsF.

4.MounttheendstopI,makingsurethatthespringpinKis positionedinthepre-drilledholeL.
Theendstopmayneedtobetiltedtoenablemounting.
Ifthescrewswereremovedwhileremovingtheendstop, installthetwoscrewsaftertheendstopisinposition.

Cleanthefreestandingsystemwithadampclothusingordinary householddetergentsandhouseholddisinfectant.
Topreventcross-infection,thepartsofthehoistthatcomeincontact withcaregiversandpatientsmustbecleanedanddisinfected.Asoft cloth,dampenedwithwaterandasmallamountofdishliquid,isall thatisneededtocleanthehoist,liftingstrapandcarabiner.Thehoist canbecleanedwithnon-abrasivecleaners.

8Warranty

8.1LimitedWarranty—Europe

Termsandconditionsofthewarrantyarepartofthegeneralterms andconditionsparticulartotheindividualcountriesinwhichthis productissold.
InordertocomplywithHealth&Safetyregulationsandtoensure thatouremployeesarenotexposedtotheriskofinfection,wemust insistthatallproductsreturnedforrepairarethoroughlycleaned. AnyproductsenttoInvacarewhichappearstobecontaminatedwill berejectedanddisposedofimmediatelyatthecustomer’sexpense.

8.2LimitedWarranty—NorthAmerica

PLEASENOTE:THEWARRANTYBELOWHAS BEENDRAFTEDTOCOMPLYWITHFEDERALLAW APPLICABLETOPRODUCTSMANUFACTUREDAFTER JULY4,1975.
Thiswarrantyisextendedonlytotheoriginalpurchaser/userofour products. Thiswarrantygivesyouspecificlegalrightsandyoumayalsohaveother legalrightswhichvaryfromstatetostate. Invacarewarrantstheproductsmanufacturedtobefreefromdefectsin materialsandworkmanshipforaperiodofoneyearfromthedateof purchase.Ifwithinsuchwarrantyperiodanysuchproductshallbeproven tobedefective,suchproductshallberepairedorreplaced,atInvacare’s option.Thiswarrantydoesnotincludeanylabororshippingcharges incurredinreplacementpartinstallationorrepairofanysuchproduct.
