Unpacking
Please take a few minutes to read this manual to familiarize yourself with the important information regarding installation, product features, and operation.
As with most electronic devices, ORIGINAL PACKAGING (OR EQUAL) IS REQUIRED in the unlikely event
that the product needs to be returned for servicing.
Short Form Instructions
1. Do not connect the AC power until step 4. The POWER switch should be in the OFF position.
2. Adjust the VOLUME control to the MIN Position (turn counter-clockwise).
3. Connect the desired OUTPUT (usually one of the variable outputs) to the input(s) of a mixer/amplifier
or other appropriate device.
4. With the power switch in the OFF position, plug in the supplied Universal AC power cord to the
product and an appropriate AC source.
5. Depress the power switch to the ON position. The power switch will illuminate.
6. Connect antennas and position them to receive the best reception.
7. The product is ready for operation. Slowly increase the VOLUME control to the desired operating
level.
8. Incorporate the Tuner’s remaining capabilities as desired.

Environment
Never place this product in an environment which could alter its performance or reduce its service life. Such
environments usually include high levels of heat, dust, moisture, and vibration.
Safety
1. Read these instructions.
2. Follow all instructions.
3. Keep all warnings.
4. Do not use this apparatus near water.
5. Clean only with a damp cloth.
6. Do not block any of the ventilation openings.
7. Install in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions.
8. Do not install near any heat sources such as radiators, heat registers, stoves, or other apparatus (including amplifiers) that produce heat.
9. Do not defeat the safety purpose of the polarized or grounding type plug. A polarized plug has two
blades with one wider than the other. A grounding type plug has two blades and a third grounding
prong. The wide blade or the third prong is provided for your safety. When the provided plug does not fit
into your outlet, consult an electrician for replacement of the obsolete outlet.
10. Protect the power cord from being walked on or pinched particularly at plugs, convenience receptacles,
and the point where they exit from the apparatus.
11. Use only the attachments/accessories specified by the manufacturer.
12. Use only with a cart, stand, tripod, bracket, or table specified by the manufacturer, or sold with the
apparatus. When a cart is used, use caution when moving the cart/apparatus combination to avoid
injury from tip-over.
13. Unplug this apparatus during lightning storms or when unused for long periods of time.
14. Refer all servicing to qualified service personnel. Servicing is required when the
apparatus has been damaged in any way, such as power supply cord or plug is
damaged, liquid has been spilled or objects have fallen into the apparatus, the
apparatus has been exposed to rain or moisture, does not operate normally, or
has been dropped.

Front Panel
1. MEMORY BUTTON
The MEMORY button is used to store the frequency of a broadcast station. To manually store station
settings, tune in the desired station, press the MEMORY button and then a memory number 1-20, and
then press the MEMORY button again. This is a time-critical operation and it must be completed with a
few seconds.
STEREO TUNER
The MEMORY button also functions as the AUTO SCAN/Memory Store key. When depressed and held
for more than 2 seconds, it automatically scans the entire FM band memorizes the first 20 signals and
then repeats this process in the AM band.
2. PRESET BUTTON
Pressing this button and the MEMORY button simultaneously will play the memorized setting for 5
seconds.
3. MODE PRESET/TUNE BUTTON
This button selects between the PRESET mode and TUNE mode. In the PRESET mode the up/down button
will change to the next channel. In the TUNE mode the up/down button will change to the next frequency.
4. MEMORIZED FREQUENCY SELECTION BUTTONS
This allows for as many as 20 station presets to be stored and recalled from memory.
To select channels 1-9 simply depress the desired button. For channels 10-19 simply depress number 1
and then the other number within one second. For channel 20 simply depress the number 2 and then 0
within one second.
5. VOLUME CONTROL
This determines the level of the output signal (of the variable outputs only). The level increases as you turn
it clockwise and decreases when turned counter clockwise.
6. POWER SWITCH
This switch turns the AC mains ON/OFF. When in the ON position, the power switch will illuminate.

7. CHANNEL INDICATOR
The CHANNEL INDICATOR displays the selected channel’s MEMORY number as well as the MODE
(Preset or tune).
8. BROADCAST BAND INDICATOR
This indicates whether AM or FM has been selected.
9. MEMORY DISPLAY
The word MEMORY is displayed to confirm that the MEMORY function is ready to operate.
10. TUNING INDICATOR
The word TUNE is displayed to confirm that a radio station is broadcasting on the selected frequency.
11. MONO/ST BUTTON
This button changes the Stereo output (located on the rear panel) to a Mono output.
12. AM FM BUTTONS
Depressing these buttons selects between the AM and FM bands.
13. UP DOWN BUTTONS
Depressing either of these buttons will tune UP or DOWN in frequency. Depressing and holding either
button for 2 seconds will cause the Tuner to move UP or DOWN to the next broadcast signal.

1. AC INLET
This terminal is connected AC input cord.
STEREO TUNER
2. DC INPUT 24 VOLT
This input is for connection to a 24V DC power source and is not commonly used except in applications
requiring emergency operation via 24V DC.
3. FIXED OUTPUT CONNECTOR
This Mono Balanced Output has a fixed level that is not affected by the Output Level Control (located on
the front panel).
4. MONO VARIABLE OUTPUT CONNECTOR
This Mono Balanced Output has a variable level that is determined by the Output Level Control (located
on the front panel).
5. AM FM ANTENNA TERMINALS
The FM terminal accepts a 75 Ohm Coaxial cable that terminates at an FM antenna.
The AM terminal accepts the lead wires of the provided AM antenna (or other suitable antenna). Antenna
position may affect performance so it may be necessary to reposition the antenna for the best reception.
6. FUSE COVER
This fuse cover contain AC fuse, replace only with same type fuse when it is blown out. If it continuously
low, stop replacing fuse and refer servicing to qualified personnel.
7. DIGI-LINK ACCESS CONNECTOR
(The Digi-link contact terminal is only compatible with Inter-M code, preset, control 10, 20)
This connector interfaces with the DIGI-LINK remote control.
8. RESET BUTTON
The RESET button clears any microprocessor problems which may occur when the power is switched on.
If a malfunction occurs, switch the power off and press RESET for 2~3 seconds.
9. STEREO VARIABLE OUTPUT CONNECTOR
This Stereo Unbalanced Output has a variable level that is determined by the Output Level Control (located on the front panel). This output can be either stereo or Mono as determined by the MONO/ST button
located on the front panel.

FM
The ability to receive an FM signal may be diminished by terrain, area buildings, and the construction
materials of the building housing the receiver. Keep these circumstances in mind when selecting the type of
FM antenna and its mounting position.
An indoor FM antenna is provided and should be suitable for most applications. Repositioning the antenna
may be necessary to identify the optimum mounting location. If greater signal strength is required, replace
the supplied antenna with a large outdoor FM antenna using 75 Ohm coax as the lead wire.
AM
