are designed to co-o rdinate together and t perfec tly
with our furniture range. T he washing machines are
white, except one of our free-s tanding machines that
is also available in black. Our fully integr ated washing
machine ts perf ectly in FAKTUM base cabine t and the
free-standi ng machines are developed for our bathroom series GOD MORGON, LILLÅNGEN and UDDEN,
as well for ALGOT storage solu tions. What’s more, all
ourwashing machine s offer Energy class A to A++ and
Washing performan ce A, so you will save both energy
and water.
IKEA washing machines –
designed for everyday life.
IKEA washing machines have simple to use functions that suit different needs and make
washing easier. We have front-loaded free-standing machines, of which one is a combined
washer dryer to save space and time, and one fully integrated machine. The fully integrated machine is designed to fit in FAKTUM base cabinet and can be fitted with a door in the
same design as the rest of your kitchen or laundry room. A new washing machine means
you reduce energy consumption while enjoying new functions. IKEA washing machines
have been developed together with Electrolux and each IKEA washing machine comes with
a free 5-year guarantee to give you peace of mind.
Choose the right was hing machine for you
Start by looking at your availa ble space. Our washing
machines are all front-loading — leaving you mor e
worktop space. Cho ose the size of your washing machine according to the amou nt of washing you normally
do, the size of your household and your washing
needs.
For example, if you tend to do a big wash load at the
end of the week, opt for a larger mode l. If you like to
wash your clothing separate ly and often, try a smaller
model. Needless t o say, our washing machin e pro-
grammes ensure your fabri cs are handled in the right
way, whether they’re baby clothes or busin ess shirts.

Choose between models with different washing programmes and features, such
as energy class, washing performance and spin drying per formance.

Consider your needs
How many are in your household? If you are many, choose a machine with high
capacity. If you live alone or are just two, choose a machine with smaller capacity.
Save energy – and help the e nvironment
Start by choosing a longer programme. You can
still get good results when washing medium soiled
laundry at lower temperatures. The economy 40
programme is a longer-than-average programme
that gives great results at only 40°C. You can also
wash mixed textiles together, allowing you to ll
the drum better. Always try to wash with a full
drum. Our machines adjust the amount of water
used according to the load, but the consumption of
energy, water and time per kilogram is lowest when
the drum is full.
At the same time, make sure you don’t overload
your washing machine, otherwise your clothes
might not be washed thoroughly. Spin-dry your
clothes at high speed. The amount of moisture
in your washing affects drying time and energy
consumption considerably. Spin-drying at a higher
speed will leave your laundry as dry as possible
without damaging it (unless you have ultrasensitive garments). Our washing machines have
a hand wash function which is more gentle and economical than traditional methods. Air your clothes
often, and consider the environment when washing
clothes that do not strictly need washing.

What do the symbols mean?
The below symbols inclu ding explanations in alphabetical order, are used to show all the available fe atures in our
range of washing machines and comb ined washer dryer. See the following pages to nd out which featur es apply
to each machine.
• A 5-year guarantee (except for LAGAN). Read about
the terms in the guarantee br ochure.
• Delay star t function allows you to wash or dry when
it suits you or when the elec tricity rate is lower.
• All washing machines have a super quick func tion
that will reduce washing time by 30 to 50%
depending of the selecte d programme.
• Anti-foam system; if excessive washing deter gent
has been added the machine aut omatically adjusts
by increasing rinse c ycles.
• Unbalanced contr ol system; redistributes the load
inside the drum if it is not distributed evenly and
adjusts the spin speed for be st performance.
• Overow protection; detects potential problem s
that may result in overowing and automatically
cuts off the supply of water to the machine.
General information for all washing machines
Automatic drying; sensor feels whe n laundry is dry accordin g to
either chose n programme; Cupboard dr y or Iron dry.
Automatic spin reduction; by selecti ng this option the spin
speed of the sele cted programme is redu ced by half, but not less
than 400 rpm.
Baby garments; baby programme sp ecially designed for baby
garments or for pe ople with sensitive skin.
Cold wash; col d wash suitable for cotton s, synthetics, delicat es
and handwash garments.
Cotton; for white and coloured co tton garments.
Economy; for washing normally so iled laundry in 40ºC or 60ºC
while saving bot h energy and water.
Delay star t; this button allows you to delay th e start of the programme, allowin g you to wash when it suits yo u or when lower rate
electricity is available.
Delicates; special prog ramme for delicate fabri cs.
Door locked; t he indicator light illuminates when the programme
starts and in dicates if the door can be opene d.
Drain; for emptying out the wat er of the last rinse.
Easy iron; the l aundry is gently was hed and spun to avoid
creasing.
Energy cla ss A; on a scale from A+++ (most efcie nt) to G (less
efc ient).

Express 45´; 45 minute program me. 60ºC, rinse and gentle spi nning cycle for light ly soiled laundry.
Extra rins e; if it is necessary to rin se the laundry using an extr a
quantity of water, sele ct this option.
Handwash; special program me for delicate fabrics th at have a
"handwash" care symbol.
Jeans; this pro gramme is suitable for washin g darker clothes like
jeans and jacket s. It uses an extra quantity of wate r for rinsing and
a gentler spinnin g cycle, to avoid light stains from th e detergent.
No spin; all spinn ing phases are suppr essed and replac ed by a
drain. This optio n is recommended for extr emely delicate fabri cs.
Prewash; the washing machine per forms a prewash cycle befo re
the main wash phase. Th is option is recommende d for heavily
soiled laundry.
Quick wash/Super quick; the washing t ime will be reduced by
30% to 50% depending of the se lected programme .
Rapid 14; 14 minute progra mme. 30ºC, rinse and spinnin g cycle
to refresh ligh tly soiled shirts and blou ses.
Rinse; with this progra mme it is possible to r inse and spin cotton
garments that have been washed by hand.
Rinse hold; suspends the laundry in the n al rinse water until a
spin program me is selected manu ally at a convenient time, r educing wrinkling.
Soak; for heavily soile d laundry. The washing machine per forms a
soak at 30ºC.
Softener/Rinse; single rinse and spin to starch or sof ten hand
washed synthetic and delicate garments.
Spin; separate spi n for handwashed garment s and after pro-
grammes with t he Rinse Hold option s elected.
Spin reduction;by selecting this op tion you can change the s pin
speed of the sele cted programme.
Start/Pause; this button a llows you to start or in terrupt the
selected washing programme.
Synthetics; for synthet ic or mixed fabrics: underwea r, colour ed
garments, non-shrink shirts and blouses.
Timed drying; you can manually c hoose drying tim e.
Wool; special pr ogramme for wool garment s.
5 shirts; programme pre set at 30ºC. For 5-6 lightly soil ed shirts,
in synthetic s or mixed fabrics. A gentle spinnin g cycle creates less
creases an d makes ironing easier.

worktop. FIXA diffusion barrier shall be mounted to the underside of the worktop for added
protection a gainst moisture.
