IMPORTANT INFORMATION ABOUT SPLASH PROOF USE
For proper splash-proof operation, make sure the seal on the left side of the unit is completely flush with
the unit by pressing along the entire edge of the seal until it is completely and securely in place.
• The unit is IPX5 rated, meaning it will repel a stream of water for up to 5 minutes.
• DO NOT immerse the unit in water.
• Make sure seal and surrounding surfaces are completely dry before opening seal to prevent moisture
from damaging the internal electronics.
• Keep seal free of dirt, sand, or other objects that can interfere with proper sealing. If for any reason
the seal is not making a tight seal, water may enter the unit.
• DO NOT clean unit with oily soaps or use chemicals or solvents. Clean with damp cloth.
Maintenance
• Place the unit on a level surface away from sources of direct sunlight or excessive heat.
• Protect your furniture when placing your unit on a natural wood and lacquered finish. A cloth or other
protective material should be placed between it and the furniture.
• Clean your unit with a soft cloth moistened only with mild soap and water. Stronger cleaning agents,
such as benzene, thinner or similar materials can damage the surface of the unit.
