Quidway® NetEngine 20 Routers ATM 155 M Optical Interface Module

Overview

The ATM 155 M optical interface module of an NE20 router is used to provide ATM interfaces for
the router. Functions of the interface are described as follows:

z Support SDH and SONET frame formats.
z Support scrambled data transmission.
z Support line clock (used when it works as a DTE interface) and internal clock (used when it

works as a DCE interface).

z Support cell loop, payload loop and echo.
z Support hardware flow control and software resetting.

At present, NE20E routers provide three types of ATM 155 M optical interface modules, including
single-mode, multi-mode as well as single-mode and long-distance boards.
