Application

The Z74S automatic reverse rinsing actuator provides fully auto­matic cleaning for all Honeywell reverse rinsing filters, filter combi­nations and water supply units with bayonet connection. A
bayonet connection enables fitting the Z74S without tools. The
reverse rinsing interval is set permanently to 45 days.

The Z74S automatic reverse rinsing actuator has a safety function
which prevents the ball valve from opening when the battery
voltage is too low and notifies this through an acoustic signal for
approx. 2 days.

Z74S Reverse rinsing actuator

Method of Operation

At the end of the set time interval the Z74S opens the ball valve.
The opening of the ball valve causes a differential pressure within
the filter which activates the reverse rinsing function. The
actuator close the ball valve again after the end of the reverse
rinsing cycle. An additional safety function prevents the ball valve
from opening and thus prevents unwanted water loss. A buzzer
tone signals the end of the battery life for 2 days.
