10. This heater draws 12.5 amps during operation
when in the high setting. To prevent overloading a circuit, do not plug the heater into a circuit that already has other appliances working.
11. It is normal for the plug to feel warm to the touch; however, a loose fit between the AC outlet (receptacle) and plug may cause overheating and distortion of the plug. Contact a qualified electrician to replace loose or worn outlet.
12. To disconnect the heater, first turn controls to the
OFF position, then grip the plug and pull it
from the wall outlet. Never pull by the cord.
13. Do not insert or allow foreign objects to enter any ventilation or exhaust opening as this may cause an electric shock or fire, or damage the heater.

SET-UP
• Place the heater on a firm, level, open surface free from obstructions and at least 3 feet (0.9m) away from any wall or any combustible material. DO NOT use on an unstable surface such as bedding or deep carpeting. BE SURE THE HEATER IS NOT IN A
POSITION WHERE IT MAY BE TRIPPED OVER BY SMALL CHILDREN OR PETS.
• The Tower Surround Heater is designed to disperse heat in either a 360° range or in one direction only.
• To select the desired heating mode, slide the Direction Control switch, located on the top of the heater, to the position of your choice (Fig. 2): – to the left (full circle) for 360° Heating – to the right (half circle) for Forward Only Heating (One Direction Heating)

OPERATION
• Select the appropriate heat dispersion mode (See Set-Up).
• With the Power knob in the OFF (O) position, plug the heater into a polarized 120V outlet.
• Turn the Thermostat control fully clockwise to the HIGH setting.
• This heater is equipped with three different heat settings. The Low setting (I) uses 600 watts of power, the Medium setting (II) uses 900 watts of power and the High setting (III) uses 1500 watts of power. You can select the proper setting to accommodate your comfort level. Because the Low and Medium heat settings do not require as much electricity to operate, they are more energy efficient and may be better options if you are concerned about the amperage draw on a circuit when the heater is in the High setting.
• Turn the heater on using the Child Resistant switch (Power knob). To operate the switch, down the two sides of the Power knob while turning it clockwise to the desired position (Fig. 3). The power light will illuminate. The Child Resistant switch helps to keep the heater from being turned on unintentionally.
• When the room reaches a comfortable temperature, slowly turn the Thermostat control counterclockwise until the heater goes off. This is the point at which the Thermostat setting equals the room temperature. At this setting, the Thermostat will automatically turn the heater on and off to maintain this selected temperature.
• Push down and turn the Power knob to OFF and unplug the heater when you are finished using it.
