Honeywell FutureSmart Products Satellite Installation Guide
The DBS Distribution Hub provides signal distribution to up to 8 receivers or DVR’s from a dual LNB system or from a
Multi-Satellite System.
The HBDS8202 occupies one expansion slot in any SuperPro Series Panel.
The MDDS8202 occupies 12” of both sides of a QuickNetwork install can.
Features
• Distribute a dual feed satellite system to 8
receivers
• Distribute a four feed satellite system (MultiSatellite System) to 8 receivers
• Will distribute (diplex) Antenna or Cable TV to all
the 8 outputs
**Multi-Satellite System has either 2-Dual LNB dishes pointed at different
satellites or a single elliptical dish with multiple horns pointed at more than one
satellite.

Installation for a standard Dual LNB
system.
1.The dual feeds from the satellite dish need to
hook up to one LNB/A port and one LNB/B port
on the DBS distribution hub.
2. If there is no UHF/VHF antenna present in the
system the diplexers are not needed between the
distribution hub and the receivers.
3. Power is required to make the hub function
properly. Use the transformer with the coax
connector and an RG6 patch cord in hook power
to the DBS distribution hub (use only solid core
copper RG6 for power).

Installing an eight receiver DirectTV
SATV Distribution System in a QNIC
The MDC8202 is used to feed between five
and eight receivers. If one to four DirectTV
receivers are used then you can use an MDP-3
and/or the pass through connections on an
MDC4XX module.to feed up to four. For
DishNetworks you will need to use
DishNetworks Proprietary Hardware to expand
beyond four.

IMPORTANT!!
CAUTION: To prevent electric shock, do not use this plug with an extension cord, receptacle or other outlet unless the blades can be
fully inserted to prevent blade exposure.
NOTE TO INSTALLER: This reminder calls the system installer’s attention to Article 820-22 of the NEC that provides guidelines for
proper grounding and, in particular, specifies that the cable ground shall be connected to the grounding system of the building, as close
to the point of cable entry as practical.
