Safety Instruction
Install the monitor in a proper place where can’t affect drivers sight.
Do not disassemble the device by yourself.
Do not place the device in damp or hot environment.
Good ventilation is required for placing the device and do not place the device at the sun or extra bright places
to ensure the LED screen can be read.

Preventive and Cautionary Tips
Before connecting and operating your device, please be advised of the following tips:
Ensure unit is installed in a well-ventilated, dust-free environment.
Keep all liquids away from the device.
Ensure environmental conditions meet factory specifications.
Ensure unit is properly secured to a rack or shelf. Major shocks or jolts to the unit as a result of dropping it
may cause damage to the sensitive electronics within the unit.
Power down the unit before connecting and disconnecting accessories and peripherals.
Improper use or replacement of the battery may result in hazard of explosion. Replace with the same or
equivalent type only. Dispose of used batteries according to the instructions provided by the battery manufacturer.

Chapter 1 Introduction
1.1 Overview
The mobile alarm terminal is pressed by the driver in emergency. The terminal provides three LED indicators, respectively showing mobile DVRs power status, recording status and error status, which is convenient for users to know the mobile DVRs status, as well as beneficial for malfunction investigation.
1.2 Components
The DS-1530HMI Mobile Alarm Terminal is composed of panic button, ERROR, RECORD, and POWER indicators shown as the figure below.

Along with the mobile alarm terminal, an eight-meter long adapter cable is provided with one five-pin female aviation plug for connecting to DVR and the other H2 × 2 interface for connecting to mobile alarm terminal. The adapter cable is shown as below.

DS-1530HMI Mobile Alarm Terminal is connected with mobile DVR by RS-232 shown as the figure below.

Chapter 3 Function Introduction
3.1 Indicator
After the mobile DVR and mobile alarm terminal have been connected, the indicator shows the mobile DVRs working status. The terminal provides three LED indicators, respectively showing power status, recording status, and error status.
POWER
Power on: green Power down: unlit
RECORD
All cameras are recording: green Part of cameras are recording: yellow No camera is recording: unlit
ERROR
Connection with mobile DVR error: red Video loss or abnormal storage media: red, flashing at 0.5s interval
Error types have been set and the user cannot modify them.
3.2 Triggering Alarm
When emergency happens, press the panic button and then release it. The terminal sends alarm information to Mobile DVR which performs the following actions.
1. Pre-set camera alarm is reported to CMS (Content Management System).
2. Pre-set camera starts alarm recording.
The recording schedule should contain pre-recording time settings.
3. Release the panic button to stop alarm. When the post-recording stops, all of the triggered recording channels
stop alarm recording as well.
4. All the alarm time are recorded in video files and remote logs.
3.3 Signal Capture by Acceleration Sensor
A built-in acceleration sensor is used for capturing real-time acceleration signal and the default sampling period is 100ms. The function requires the proper installation position and you are recommended to place the terminal horizontally, ensuring the Z-axis is vertical upward. The advancing direction is X-axis by default, and the installation position is shown as the below.

Calibration is required before enabling acceleration sensor. Within the 10s after the power indicator lighted, press the panic button for 3s, then the power indicator flashes for twice, indicating the calibration is successfully set.
3.4 Sending Signals from Terminal
The remote control is able to capture the signal not only sent by the Mobile DVR, but also by the terminal, which greatly facilitates the Mobile DVRs signal capture.
