DS-1350HM Vehicle-mounted Voice Intercom Device
1 Brief introduction
DS-1350HM is a voice intercom device developed specifically for vehicle-mounted
equipment. It provides two-way and duplex voice intercom with clear sound and low noise. It
has a compact design which can be directly connected to in-vehicle equipment to take power.
The device also features low power consumption, long transmission distance.
2 System component
DS-1350HM has a 1-meter connection line with a 6 pin aviation female connector.

DS-1350HM is standard equipped with a 6-meter adapter cable. This cable has a 4-pin
aviation female connector to connect to DVR and another 6 pin aviation male connector to
connect to DS-1350HM. Adapter cable shown in Figure 1-2.

3 Installation introduction
When installing the voice intercom device, you need to pay attention to the following points
to be able to make voice intercom effect better.
1. The device adopts a fixed installation way, not disassemble. Intercom device has two holes
on each side (right and left), you can use screws to install it on the dashboard.
2. When installing, make sure that local MIC of voice intercom device opening toward the
source of the voice, that is, toward the driver's position.
3. To make the effect of voice intercom box to achieve the best, it is recommended to install
the intercom device from the driver about 50 ~ 100cm.
4 Connection introduction
DS-1350HM voice intercom device can be connected to the mobile DVR to realize voice
intercom. Mobile DVR doesn’t have a 4 pin voice intercom connector, if you want to realize
voice intercom, a 10-pin aviation adapter cable is needed to connect the RS422 interface of
the mobile DVR with the 6-meter adapter cable of the DS-1350HM.
5 Voice intercom operation
Model matching instruction
Currently mobile DVR is developed based on two platforms, one is the ST series platform,
another is the T-series platforms. To ensure the quality of the voice intercom, DS-1350HM
voice intercom device need to choose a different speech patterns depending on the platform.

Operating steps
DS-1350HM can achieve two way and duplex voice intercom. When the voice intercom
device is connected to mobile DVR, the mobile DVR starts normally and connects to the
platform, the platform can open voice intercom.
Switch voice intercom mode in order to be applied to different mobile DVRs. Make sure
the mode is in accordance with the corresponding mobile DVR in order to achieve the best
voice intercom effect .
Press "+" and "-" keys on the device at the same time for 5S to switch modes.
ST series mobile DVR, green light is lit on voice intercom device.

on, two seconds dark.

DS-1350HM can achieve two way and duplex voice intercom. Press volume "+ "and " - "
keys to adjust the intercom volume. The volume is divided into five levels.
Volume keys "+ "and " - " are used to adjust the volume. When you press the volume keys
to adjust the volume, LED indicator light flashes once; without any key operation after
pressing the volume button for 3 seconds, the system LED will blink three times in a row,
then the system automatically saves the current volume level.
When you press the "+ "key to adjust the volume to maximum level, press the "+ "key
LED lights will not blink, the volume will remain unchanged in the fifth level.
When you press the " - " key to adjust the volume to a minimum level, press the "-" key
LED lights will not blink , the volume will remain unchanged in the first level .
When the intercom device powers up for the first time, the default volume level is 3. If
you adjust volume level during operation, the volume level will remain the adjusted level
next time you use the device.
6 FAQ
1. After completion of wiring, intercom device is not lit up?
Please check whether the mobile DVR is in normal startup state, if a normal start, check
whether DS-1350HM and mobile DVR is properly connected.
2. Intercom device can’t communicate with the platform software?
When all wirings are properly connected, check whether the mobile DVR is properly
connected to the platform software;
If the mobile DVR is already connected to the platform, make sure that the platform has
turned on voice intercom function, only when the platform opens intercom successfully, voice
intercom is able to be conducted.
3. Voice of the platform or DS-1350HM is not clear, even noisy?
Voice on the platform is not ideal: adjust the volume of the PC to ideal state.
Voice on DS-1350HM is not ideal: adjust the volume to ideal state.
