We have always used our entire technical expertise to design
devices that are user-friendly and built for the future. To this end,
our engineers have been able to draw on decades of experi-
ence. The result is ever new innovations. Our fl at-screen TVs
with the HD ready standard already enable excellent picture
quality.
And technical developments are continuing. Grundig’s exclusive
HD Evolution is the new generation of high-end television
technology: pictures and fi lms that are more natural than ever,
utterly smooth object motion, maximum picture sharpness and
optimum contrasts.
Our LCD TVs have digital interfaces for peripheral devices, and
our unique Magic Fidelity System provides an overwhelming
sound experience. On top of this, Grundig Easy Dialog, our
integrated electronic operating manual, makes our TVs very easy
to use. It goes without saying that the unit is also a feast for the
eyes. There are so many reasons for deciding on a Grundig
with HD Evolution and the sharpest television of all time –

HD Evolution by Grundig.
HD Evolution by Grundig has Full HD with Motion Compensation and stands for superbly sharp
pictures. The HD ready standard has around 1 million pixels, but Full HD gives you a picture
resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels – that is 2,073,600 pixels or 6,220,800 colour pixels – and
Full HD 1920 x 1080 pixels
The greater the number of pixels, the sharper and more detailed the picture resolution. The 1920 x 1080
pixels provide HD Evolution with the highest picture resolution with the most natural picture playback.
The pictures are extremely detailed and stunningly real due to the great depth effect.

currently has the most detailed display in HD televisions. Experience television like never before
with wonderfully clear pictures, fascinating details and a spatial depth that seems almost three-
dimensional.
Full HD with Motion Compensation by Grundig
The new TV generation with visibly sharper pictures, and are jerk-free, at last. Grundig televisions with
Motion Compensation always provide excellent playback. Now we can introduce this picture
improving technology for full HD television images as well. The newest high-speed processing chip set
calculates additional intermediate pictures on scanned fi lms and integrates them into the appropriate
motion phases. This ensures a natural fl ow of movements and outstanding picture quality for fastmoving scenes.

HD Evolution enables picture reproduction that comes

of high-speed chip is the heart of this new Grundig TV
technology.
Grundig engineers have designed the chip’s control
parameters so that HD Evolution television pictures meet
the highest requirements in terms of natural and detailed
representation.

To create more fl owing movements, a device calculates an extra movement phase and inserts it between
every two. For LCD TV standard two pictures are constructed – with Motion Compensation one more
picture is calculated. This makes the TV picture visibly smoother and gains in detail for extra picture sharp ness avoiding the “jerks” that come with fast camera pans.

Connectivity Pro by Grundig
Multi-functional with intelligent connection concept
Grundig’s Connectivity Pro stands for the numerous connection
options which have brought the Grundig HD Evolution LCD TV to the
centre of consumer electronics. Whether it is a HD receiver, DVD
player and recorder, computer, digital camera or digital storage
media: for each peripheral device, optimal connections are
available. For example, the digital home entertainment connection of
the future – HDMI (High Defi nition Multimedia Interface). An HDMI
Grundig DVB Micro Receiver
Just plug it into the SCART socket of a Grundig HD Evolution and the
DVB micro receiver becomes a genuine IDTV television. You can
operate it using the remote control of the LCD TV, so a second
remote control and changing operating levels is no longer
necessary. The power supply is also for the TV.
A DVB-T and a DVB-C variation of the mini receiver will also be
launched shortly.

sound and digital appliance control. The DVI interface provided,
which can be used as a second HDMI input by means of an
adapter, is used to connect a PC or a notebook directly. Thus the
Grundig HD Evolution LCD TV, with a resolution in excess of 2 million

Digital Reference Plus II is the latest highspeed chip technology to use the
parameters optimised by Grundig
engineers for natural TV pictures.
Incoming HDTV signals are optimised so
that every single pixel is processed. At the
same time, any picture errors are
detected and immediately optimized. This
innovative picture improvement
technology results in perfect picture
quality, with brilliant colours to the
smallest level of detail. DIGI 200 –
internal signal processing:
The Chassis Platform DIGI 200 (Digital
Reference Plus II) can handle panels with
3 x 8 bits and 3 x 10 bits (2 channel
10/8bit LVDS output). The very fast,
in-built “Scaler IC” VGC-B works
internally in two full channels with
10 bits (dual channel 10 bit video processing). The DIGI 200 “Perfect Clear” function
(can be switched on and off) ensures an
outstanding, high-contrast picture.

Magic Fidelity by Grundig
The patented sound system for great sound
This loudspeaker concept patented for Grundig lets you enjoy a large sound experience even at low
volumes, which is a great advantage for fl at TVs in particular. The technological basis for this is formed
by three amplifi er output stages within the device, which are adapted to their speakers in the mediumtreble range and to the subwoofer. On the basis of this design, a total of 40 watts of audio power is
suffi cient to create an outstanding sound.
High-Speed Panel
In modern, high-resolution TVs, the use of the latest generation of panels is an important requirement
for achieving optimal picture quality. Liquid Crystal Displays (LCDs) of the latest design are distinguished by their high reaction speed, also known as afterglow duration. In the HD Evolution LCD TV by
Grundig, the Full HD panel with an afterglow duration of less than 8 ms is of the very highest class.
This is achieved by a new technique, known as “overdrive”. The Grundig engineers have attained the
optimal relationship between the high-speed chip already mentioned and this high-speed panel –
resulting in the most natural TV pictures ever achieved.

Grundig TVs have always stood for particularly natural pictures. With HD Evolution, colours in cinemaquality enter your living room. The colours in the picture are reproduced faithfully and improved when
necessary. Here Grundig proves with HD Evolution that the latest digital technology has achieved the
maximum in terms of natural colour reproduction.
