HINGED COVER KIT

For Models

D & DL

DL Model Shown

1. Remove hole plug caps using a flat-blade
screwdriver.

2. Align holes in riser bracket with holes in
trunnion pad.

NOTE: Apply Loctite® to all threaded fasteners during assembly.

3. Install mounting bolts, lock washers and
nuts to secure. Tighten to 20 ft.-lb. torque
with a 3/8” opened or socket wrench.

5. Attach fender washer and nuts, but do not tighten.

4. Align studs on actuator assembly to
holes in riser bracket.

6. Assemble actuator assembly to rear 3 dome cover
studs and secure using dome nuts. Tighten to 20 in.-lb.
torque with a 1/4” open end or socket wrench.

7. Lower cover over kettle and adjust mounting bracket as required to align. Tighten the
four nuts below the actuator assembly to 10 ft.-lb. with a 1/4” open end or socket wrench.

8. Apply Loctite® to the cover studs.

10. Attach handle over spacers and secure with dome
nuts.

9. Install handle spacers over front two
dome cover studs.

11. Tighten nuts to 20 in.-lb. with a 1/4”
open end or socket wrench.

13. Completed assembly should look like the photo above.

12. Adjust tension in actuator assembly
by turning adjusting nuts. Use two 3/4”
open end wrenches.
