G1127 EXTENSION BLOCK KIT
FOR THE G1019 BANDSAW
•Review this instruction sheet in its entirety before beginning installation. Failure to follow these guidelines will result in serious personal injury.
•Unplug the bandsaw before beginning this installation procedure.
•Bandsaw blades are sharp. Use caution when removing, installing and handling.
1. Disconnect the bandsaw from electrical power before
beginning.
2. Remove the blade per the manual instructions.
Grizzly’s G1127 Extension Block increases the cutting height of the Model G1019 Bandsaw by six inches. With the extension block installed, the saw is capable of cutting stock up to 12" in height.
For best results while installing the Extension Block, we recommend referring to the parts diagram on the last page of this instruction sheet. The numbers on the diagram refer to the components supplied in the Extension Block Kit. The letters refer to parts of your existing bandsaw setup. There are references to the manual that was supplied with your saw, so have it close at hand.
3. Remove the blade guide assembly by loosening the Lock Knob Ref of the Bracket Ref
C and sliding the Guide Post Ref D out

4. The Upper Frame Arm represents a heavy load. Seek assistance before continuing with this next step. Remove Upper Frame Arm Ref A from the Base
Ref B by removing the Hex Bolt Ref D and Hex Nut Ref E. The upper frame arm is heavy and pinned to the base. It will be necessary to rock the Upper Frame Arm gently back and forth to work it loose of the base. Take care in lifting it off the base and setting it to one side.
5. Remove the two Set Pins Ref G which are in the top of the Base by using a pair of pliers and twisting it until they come free. These will not be reused.
6. Place the 6" Extension Block Ref #1 onto the Base and line up the mounting hole to the base mounting hole.
The Upper Frame Arm represents a heavy load. Seek assistance before continuing with this next step. Place the Upper Frame Arm on the top of the
Extension Block, lining up the mounting holes. Use the

8" - 11 x 8" Bolt Ref #4, Washer Ref #5, Lock Washers Ref #7 and Hex Nut Ref #6 to secure the Upper Arm to the Extension Block to the Base. Do not tighten at this time.

7. Remove the table (see the Manual Instructions regarding “Table”).

Roughly align the upper and lower wheels by laying a straight edge across both wheels See Figure 2. Tighten the bolt until it is tight, then loosen it

4 to 1⁄2 turn.
8. Install the 105" blade supplied in the kit Ref #10 following the instructions in the G1019 Manual. Apply tension to the blade as described in the manual. Adjust the tracking knob until the upper and lower wheels are parallel.
9. Check wheels for coplanarity. See Figure 3. If wheels are not coplaner, tap on the bottom edge of the Upper Frame Arm with a rubber or wooden mallet or twist it the direction needed and check again. When wheels are coplaner, tighten the bolt Ref
#4. Check coplaner again. Adjust as needed. Remember that it is important the blade be tensioned during this process.
10. Adjust the tension and tracking as outlined in the manual. Rotate the wheels with your finger to assure that the blade is tracking. If there is any difficulty in getting the blade to track properly, go back to
Step
7 and realign the wheels.
11. Remove the Upper Guide Assembly Ref H from Ref D and attach it
to the 16" Guide Post Ref
#2.

12. Place the Guide Post Assembly onto the machine by sliding the Guide Post up through the Bracket Ref
C.

F and tightening the Hand
13. Replace the Blade Guard Ref K with the extended version Ref #3.
14. Replace the extended Guard Ref J with Ref #8 on the studs on the left
hand side of the machine.
15. Adjust the Upper and Lower Guide Assemblies as required.
16. Replace the table.
17. Replace the Upper and Lower Wheel
Covers.
18. Test the blade movement and clearance before running the machine. Make sure

the blade is moving freely and not bind ing. Reconnect the bandsaw to electrical power.
