ProgressiVe rsa alerts
A Progressive RSA Alert is displayed on the left side of the screen to
indicate the proximity to the RSA. When an alert condition is present, an
aural tone will sound at an increasing rate based on the distance to the
RSA and speed of the vehicle.
Progressive RSA Alerts:
➊
As the vehicle comes within 360 ft to 180 ft of the nearest RSA, a YELLOW
Progressive RSA Alert with the remaining distance to the RSA is displayed.
➋
As the vehicle comes within 180 ft to 50 ft of the nearest RSA, an aural tone
is played at an increasing rate based on the distance to the RSA.
➌
As the vehicle comes within 50 ft of the RSA, a RED Progressive Runway
Alert is displayed and the aural tone continues to sound at an increasing
rate.
➍

safetaxi
SafeTaxi® gives greater map detail when viewing airports at close range.
When viewing at ranges close enough to show the airport detail, the map
reveals taxiways with identifying letters/numbers, runway incursion “Hot
Spot”, and airport landmarks including ramps, buildings, control towers,
and other prominent features. Resolution is greater at lower map ranges.

airPort hot sPots
Airport Hot Spots are outlined to caution pilots and airport vehicles
of areas on an airport surface where positional awareness confusion or
runway incursions happen most often. Hot Spots are defined by a dark
yellow shaded area.
