IDS VCM II Quick Start Guide
NOTE: Installing and configuring IDS requires Windows Administrative privileges.
To run your computer with Windows Administrative privileges go to Windows Start, then select Help and Support and type “Change a user’s group or account type” in the Search box.

NOTE: Before beginning this procedure ensure that your computer 's antivirus software and firewall have been disabled.
1. Disconnect any VCM I and VCM II devices from the computer.
2. Start the IDS software.
3. Connect the VCM II to the computer using a USB cable ( not required.
4. The “Device Selection” tab will automatically appear at the top right corner of the screen after approximately 30 seconds. When this tab appears the installation was completed successfully. If the Device Selection tab is already present on your computer continue to the next step.
5. The VCM II software may require an update which typically takes about 10 minutes. Please follow the on-screen instructions.
6. The VCM II is now ready to start a vehicle session.
