ES1 dimmer with bare end
ES1 Dimmer Bracket and Connector Installation CE
Connector Options
The ES1 is a bare end dimmer for use with non-ETC, or preexisting fixtures. ETC recommends the
following for field installation.
Recommended CE 230V Input Connectors:
• 16A CEE 1PNE
• Schuko plug with earth connection
• UK13A mains connector
• UK15A round-pin connector
WARNING:
Risk of electric Shock! this equipment must be
earthed.
Recommended CE 230V Output Connector:
• White CEE 2P+E 16A connector
WARNING:
Reference the blue label attached to the dimmer’s output lead for important
output information.
This equipment outputs DC power and should be wired to a connector suitable
for DC power only. Do NOT use a standard mains connector.
Connector Installation
Reference the input label of the dimmer for instructions on proper connector installation.
WARNING:
The ES1 Dimmer can ONLY be wired to luminaires with tungsten lamps. Wiring
to any other lamp type will cause dimmer failure.

Bracket Options
There are two additional brackets that ship with the ES1 Dimmer. The sandwich bracket should be used
when mounting the dimmer to the yoke of a fixture. The pipe mount bracket should be used when
mounting the dimmer to a lighting truss or pipe.
• A safety cable can be attached through either of the existing holes to the left and right of the
mounting pad.
Sandwich Bracket
The Sandwich bracket includes a metal plate and needed hardware.
Step 1: Secure the fixture yoke between the two bracket plates with the four provided bolts.
Bracket and Connector Installation
Pipe Mount Bracket
The pipe mount bracket includes an L-shaped bracket and hardware.
Step 1: Using two of the bolts provided, attach the bracket to the dimmer as in the graphic below.
Step 2: Attach a hook clamp, half coupler, or other mounting to the bracket.
Note:
Hook clamp, half coupler or other mounting is NOT supplied as part of the pipe mount
bracket.
