ersonal damages caused by inappropriate
p handling or not following the safety instructions.
3. Intended Use
The light is automatically switched on at darkness and switched off at morning light. Depending on the charging condition of the rechargeable batteries, the luminosity may decrease after a certain operating time. This enables a longer operating time in case of bad insolation. The maximum duration of illumination with full (rechargeable) battery and without recharge is approx. 100 hours. The ASI solar module which is made in Germany installed in the upper part of the housing charges the battery pack at sunlight. The installed light-emitting diode (LED) is activated at dawn and will be illuminated according to the charging condition of the battery. Up to 3-figure numbers or letters may be stuck on the luminous surface on the front side.
Note: Please make sure that the solar light is installed on a shadow-free south-, eastor west side. The product cannot be used if installed on north sides, under bushes or similar. In winter, the solar cell shall always be free of snow.
4. Initiation
1. Please carefully take all parts out of the package.
2. Stick your house number on the luminous surface by means of the attached figure sheets.
3. Unscrew the screw on the bottom of the house number light and take off the upper part to the front.
4. Screw the back wall of the house number to the wall using the enclosed fixing material. In doing so, make sure that you mount the house number light on a shadow-free wall facing the south, east or west. Walls facing the north are not suitable for solar products!
5. Now insert the socket of the battery pack - with correct polarity - on the plugs on the circuit board (see picture 1). Note: The plug is protected against inverse polarity. Please, do not apply force.
6. Now, re-mount the front part on the back all and re-tighten the screw on the bottom side of the house number.
The house number is now activated!
Note: During the winter months the duration of
illumination will generally be shorter. If the lamp should not yet start working on the first evening, please wait for a sunny day.

6. Malfunctions
Light is not activated when it gets dark
- an ambient light source (e.g. street lamp) simulates daylight on the solar module and revents the activation of the light. Move the light to a darker place.
p
Light is not activated at darkness or deactivated after a short time.
- Check whether you inserted the batteries with incorrect polarity.
-Battery weak or defective?
Note: The batteries should be exchanged in a two year interval.

Battery take-back
- Batteries must not be discarded into domestic waste.
- The consumer is legally required to return batteries after use, e.g. to public collecting centers or to battery distributors.
- Contaminant-containing batteries are labeled with the sign “crossed-out trashcan“ and one of the chemical symbols. Used batteries should be disposed environmentally friendly and should not be discarded into domestic waste. Your dealer is legally required to take back old batteries.
Rechargeable battery notes
- Rechargeable batteries should not be played with by children. Never leave rechargeable batteries lying around; they could be swallowed by children or pets.
- Rechargeable batteries must never be short-circuited, disassembled or thrown into fire. This leads to a danger of explosion!
- Leaking or damaged rechargeable batteries can cause chemical burns when they come into contact with skin. For this reason, please make use of suitable protective gloves.
- Rechargeable batteries should only be replaced by structurally identical rechargeable batteries from the same manufacturer. Normal batteries must not be used since these are not rechargeable.
- Make sure the rechargeable batteries are inserted with the correct polarity.
- For long periods of time of non-use (for example, storage), remove the inserted rechargeable batteries to avoid damages via the leaking rechargeable batteries.
