Overcome USB limitations
A standard USB module provides up
to 500mA of +5V power, enough to
support basic PC peripherals such as a
mouse and keyboard. When additional peripherals are added, standard
USB power is insufficient, requiring
you to add an external power supply.
Powered USB overcomes this limitation by increasing individual port
power. Epson’s Powered USB
Connect-It Module takes advantage
of your POS system’s +24V Powered
USB port to drive your Epson printer.
Get the fastest connection going
From the host to the printer, Powered
USB transfers information at speeds
up to 12 Mbps and it integrates a host
locking cable mechanism to prevent
accidental disconnection. Compared
to a serial connection at just 14.4 KB
per second or standard parallel at 115
KB per second, Powered USB’s ultrafast data transfer speed makes it
