Front and rear drivers radiate in-phase at different output
levels to create a unique 360˚ sound field with holographic,
3-D sonic imaging. Something never before achieved in a
bipolar speaker.
By maintaining a very careful balance to maximize
dispersion, and eliminate distortion, Energy® Chief Designer
John Tchilinguirian has achieved a unique imaging capability,
while maintaining the incredible spaciousness for which
bipolar sound is noted.
He has also markedly reduced the unwanted wraparound
effect found in many symmetrical bipolar speakers, improving
coherency and delivering a rock solid image. As a result,
Audissey™Series speakers can be placed closer to room
boundaries than bipolar technology has allowed before.
Because the rear-radiating drivers operate in-phase with the
direct output from the front, an omni-directional effect is
achieved. An outstanding balance and a seamless soundstage
is maintained throughout the entire listening area.
The exclusive Energy®beveled baffle design keeps edge
diffraction to a minimum. Add improved standards in treble
and midrange transparency with resonance-free MDF cabinet
construction, and you have the sonic performance of a
lifetime.
