VOR DER ERSTEN BENUTZUNG
• Packen Sie das Gerät sowie alle Zubehörteile aus, wischen Sie alle Teile leicht feucht ab
und trocknen Sie diese anschließend.
• Stecken Sie den Stecker in die Steckdose.
• Bei Erstgebrauch kann es vorkommen, dass ein wenig Rauch oder ein unangenehmer
Geruch entstehen. Dies ist bei der ersten Inbetriebnahme normal. Benutzen Sie Ihr Gerät
daher erst einmal ohne Teig für ca. 10 Minuten.
• Vor der Benutzung sollten Sie die Backflächen leicht einfetten.
• Die ersten Waffeln nicht verzehren.
• Bei manchen Geräten kann es vorkommen, dass nach kurzer Gebrauchszeit eine
bräunliche Verfärbung des Gehäuses eintritt. Dies beruht auf Backausdünstungen und
lässt sich nicht vermeiden.
BENUTZUNG
• Schließen Sie das Gerät an und stecken Sie den Stecker in eine Steckdose. Die rote
Betriebsleuchte und die grüne Kontrollleuchte werden aufleuchten und anzeigen, dass
das Gerät funktioniert und aufheizt.
• Sobald das Gerät die gewünschte Temperatur erreicht hat, erlischt die grüne
Kontrollleuchte. Während des Gebrauchs wird diese Kontrollleuchte regelmäßig an- und
ausgehen. Das bedeutet, dass die Betriebstemperatur geregelt wird.

• ACHTUNG! Während des Gebrauchs werden die Backplatten heiß. Berühren Sie sie nicht!
• Öffnen Sie das aufgeheizte Gerät.
• Benetzen Sie Ihre Handflächen mit Mehl, nehmen Sie etwas Teig und formen etwa 8
wallnussgroße Kugeln. Diese legen Sie in die Mitte der einzelnen Backflächen und drücken
anschließend den Deckel fest zu bis dieser einrastet. Der Teig wird sich somit in den
Backformen gut verteilen.
• HINWEIS: Lässt sich der Deckel nur schwer oder gar nicht richtig verschließen, ist die
Konsistenz des Teiges zu fest.
• Das Ergebnis der ersten Waffeln wird Ihnen zeigen, ob die zuvor gewählte Menge Teig
ausreichend oder zu gering gewählt war.
• Während des Backvorganges tritt heißer Dampf aus dem Gerät, achten Sie auf Ihre Finger.
• Nach einer Backzeit von ca. 7 min, je nach Ihrem Geschmack, sind die Zimtwaffeln fertig.
Tipp: Öffnen Sie von Zeit zu Zeit den Deckel und kontrollieren den Bräunungsgrad.
• Öffnen Sie den Deckel und heben Sie die Zimtwaffeln mit einem Holz- oder Plastikspatel
vorsichtig aus den Backformen heraus. Es dürfen keine metallenen Gegenstände
verwendet werden, da sonst die Antihaftbeschichtung beschädigt wird.
• ZIEHEN SIE DEN STECKER AUS DER STECKDOSE, SOBALD SIE FERTIG SIND.
PFLEGEHINWEISE / REINIGUNG
• Gerät vom Netz trennen
• Gerät und die Platten abkühlen lassen bevor sie gereinigt werden.
• Wischen Sie die Außenseite mit einem feuchten Tuch ab, und vergewissern Sie sich, dass
keine Feuchtigkeit, Öl oder Fett in das Gerät dringt.
• Wischen Sie die Backplatten mit einem feuchten Tuch oder mit Küchenpapier ab.
• Für hartneckische Teigreste können Sie eine weiche Bürste benutzen.
• Niemals mit metallenen Gegenständen reinigen oder Schleif- und Scheuermittel
verwenden.
• Tauchen Sie das Gerät nicht in Wasser oder andere Flüssigkeiten.
• Das Gerät darf nur zu Haushaltszwecken und nicht zu gewerblichen Dauergebrauch
benutzt werden.

Should the symbol be indicated on a certain
surface, you need to be careful when handling the
product. This symbol means CAUTION, this surface
may get very hot during use.

BEFORE FIRST USE
• Unpack the appliance and its accessories, wipe it them with a damp cloth and dry them.
• Plug in the appliance.
• During the first use some smoke or smell might escape. This is perfectly normal during the
first use. Therefor we advise you to operate the appliance empty for about 10 minutes.
• Before use, grease the plates.
• Do not eat the first waffles.
• After a certain period of time, the housing of some appliance might get a light brown
colour. This is due to the steam coming out during cooking, and this is inevitable.
USE
• Close the appliance and plug into the electrical outlet. The red pilot light and the green
ready light will come on to indicate that the appliance is switched on and heating.
• The green ready light will go out when the cooking temperature is reached. During use,
this ready light will come on and off regularly. This simply means that the thermostat is
regulating the appliance's temperature.
• Attention: during operation, the baking plates heat up. Pay attention not to get burned.
• Open the heated device.
• Cover your hands with flour, then take the batter and form 8 balls. Put them in the moulds
of the baking plates and close the lid until it is locked. This way, the batter will be spread
over the plates.
• HINT: If you cannot close the appliance, this means that the batter is too hard.
• The result of the first operation will show whether us used the correct batter quantity or not.
• During operation, hot steam will come out of the appliance. Make sure not to burn your
fingers.
• After about 7 minutes, the waffles will be ready. Hint: open the lid now and then to check
the browning degree during operation.
• Open the lid and remove the waffles with a wooden or plastic spatula. Never use metallic
objects as these could damage the non-stick coating of the baking plates.
• UNPLUG THE APPLIANCE WHEN YOU ARE FINISHED.
CLEANING AND CARE
• Unplug the appliance.
• Let the appliance and the baking plates cool down before cleaning.
• Clean the housing with a damp cloth and make sure no damp, grease or oil seeps into
the appliance.
• Clean the plates of the appliance with a damp cloth or paper towel.
• For tenacious residues, you can use a soft brush.
• Never use metallic objects or abrasive products.
• Never immerse it in water or any other liquid.
• Only use the appliance for domestic purposes. This appliance is not suitable for
professional or continuous use.

For our products, the legal terms concerning claims under guarantee are valid. During the
legal period, all material and manufacturing defects are covered. No claims will be accepted

only order the accessory! In case of glass damages, glass spare parts will be charged.
Pieces undergoing wear and tear as well as cleaning and maintenance or the exchange of
worn out pieces are not covered by the guarantee and will thus be charged!
AFTER THE LEGAL PERIOD OF GUARANTEE
Repairs after the guarantee period can be performed at a charge by a competent qualified
technician or a repair service.

AVANT LA PREMIERE UTILISATION
• Déballez l'appareil et les accessoires, essuyez-le avec un chiffon humide et séchez-les.
• Branchez l'appareil.
• Lors de la première utilisation, il est possible que l'appareil produise de la fumée ou une
odeur désagréable. Ceci est parfaitement normal lors de la première utilisation. C'est
pourquoi il est conseillé d'utiliser l'appareil à vide pendant environ 10 minutes.
• Avant l'utilisation, il est nécessaire d'enduire les plaques de matière grasse.
• Ne consommez pas les premières gaufres.
• Le corps de certains appareils pourrait brunir légèrement après un certain temps
d'utilisation. Ceci est dû à la vapeur qui s'échappe pendant la cuisson et est inévitable.
UTILISATION
• Fermez votre appareil et branchez la fiche de votre appareil dans la prise de courant. Le
témoin rouge et le témoin lumineux vert s’allument, vous indiquant ainsi que l’appareil est
sous tension et qu'il chauffe.
• Dès que la température désirée est atteinte, le témoin lumineux vert s'éteint. Pendant
l'utilisation, ce témoin lumineux se rallumera et s'éteindra régulièrement. Cela signifie
simplement que le thermostat règle la température de l'appareil.
• Attention: pendant l'utilisation, les plaques deviennent chaudes. Faites attention de ne pas
vous brûler.
• Ouvrez entièrement l’appareil.

• Couvrez vos mains de farine, puis prenez de la pâte et formez 8 petites boules. Placez les
dans les formes des plaques prévues à cet effet, puis fermez le couvercle jusqu'à ce qu'il
se verrouille. De cette façon, la pâte sera dispersée sur les plaques.
• CONSEIL: Si vous n'arrivez pas à fermer le couvercle, cela signifie que la pâte est trop dure.
• Le résultat de la première cuisson vous indiquera si vous avez choisi la bonne quantité de
pâte ou non.
• Pendant la cuisson, de la vapeur chaude s'échappe de l'appareil, faites attention de ne
pas vous brûler les doigts.
• Après une cuisson d'environ 7 minutes, les gaufres seront cuites. Conseil: ouvrez le

Si vous constatez un défaut, adressez-vous à votre revendeur ou au magasin et retournez
l'appareil complet dans son emballage d'origine ainsi que le ticket de caisse. Les réclamations
introduites dans le cadre de la garantie sont uniquement valables si le ticket de caisse ou la
copie d’une facture de réparation éventuelle est joint(e).
Ou envoyez l'appareil nettoyé, bien emballé et dûment affranchi avec une courte description
du défaut en majuscules à notre service après-vente dans notre firme à Bad Blankenburg en
joignant également votre ticket de caisse.
Si des accessoires sont défectueux, l'appareil complet ne sera pas remplacé, mais les
accessoires seront échangés gratuitement. Dans ce cas, ne renvoyez donc pas l'appareil
complet mais commandez seulement l'accessoire défectueux! En cas de verre cassé, le
remplacement de l'accessoire concerné est payant. L'échange des accessoires soumis à

❑ Laat het toestel afkoelen vooraleer u het reinigt of

en bevoegd is om dergelijke herstellingen te doen zodat elk gevaar vermeden wordt. Gelieve
het toestel bij problemen naar deze dienst terug te brengen.
TOEPASSINGS-/GEBRUIKSDOMEIN
* Gebruik het toestel enkel voor huishoudelijk gebruik en op de wijze zoals vermeld in
de gebruiksaanwijzing.
* Dit toestel is bestemd om te worden gebruikt voor huishoudelijke toepassingen en
gelijkaardige toepassingen zoals:
Keukenhoeken voorbehouden voor het personeel in winkels, kantoren en
andere professionele omgevingen.
Boerderijen.
Het gebruik door de klanten van hotels, motels en andere omgevingen met een
residentieel karakter.
Omgevingen van het gastenverblijf-type.
VÓÓR DE EERSTE INGEBRUIKNAME
• Haal het toestel en de accessoires uit hun verpakking, veeg ze met een vochtige doek
en droog ze goed af.
• Steek de stekker in het stopcontact.
• Bij het eerste gebruik zou rook of een onaangename geur kunnen ontstaan. Dit is normaal
bij het eerste gebruik. Daarom raden wij u aan het toestel minstens 10 minuten leeg te
gebruiken.
• Vóór het gebruik is het noodzakelijk de bakplaten in te vetten.
• Eet de eerste wafels niet op.
• Na zeker tijd kan het zijn dat de behuizing wat bruin wordt. Dit is te wijten aan de damp
die tijdens het gebruik uit het toestel ontsnapt en is onvermijdelijk.
GEBRUIK
• Sluit het toestel en steek de stekker in het stopcontact. Het rode controlelampje en het
groene controlelampje zullen gaan branden om aan te geven dat het apparaat in
werking is getreden en opwarmt.

• Zodra de nodige temperatuur bereikt is, zal het groene controlelampje uitgaan. Tijdens
het gebruik zal dit controlelampje regelmatig aan- en uitgaan. Dit betekent dat de
thermostaat de juiste temperatuur regelt.
• Opgelet: wanneer het toestel in gebruik is, worden de bakplaten heel warm. Let erop dat
u zich niet verbrandt.
• Open het toestel en vet de bakplaten lichtjes in met boter, olie of margarine zonder de
randen in te vetten.
• Doe wat meel op uw handen en neem deeg om 8 balletjes te vormen. Plaats ze in de
daartoe voorziene vormen om de bakplaten en sluit het deksel tot het zich vergrendelt.
Op die manier woord het deeg op de plaat verdeeld. TIP: Indien u het deksel niet kunt
sluiten, betekent het dat het deeg te hard is.

• Het resultaat van de eerste bakcyclus zal uitwijzen of u de juiste hoeveelheid deeg
gebruikt hebt of niet.
• Tijdens de bakcyclus zal hete stoom uit het toestel komen, let op dat u uw vingers niet
verbrandt.
• Na ongeveer 7 minuten zijn de wafels klaar.
• Tip: open het deksel regelmatig om de bruiningsgraad in het oog te houden.
• Open het deksel en neem de wafels uit het toestel met behulp van een houten of plastic
spatel. Gebruik geen metalen voorwerpen daar deze de antiaanbaklaag van de platen
zouden kunnen beschadigen.
• TREK DE STEKKER UIT HET STOPCONTACT ZODRA U KLAAR BENT.
REINIGING EN ONDERHOUD
• Trek de stekker uit het stopcontact.
• Laat het toestel en de bakplaten volledig afkoelen vooraleer u het reinigt.
• Reinig de behuizing van het toestel met een vochtige doek en zorg ervoor dat geen
vocht, vet of olie in het toestel sijpelt.
• Reinig de bakplaten met een vochtige doek of met keukenpapier.
• Voor hardnekkige restjes kunt u een zachte borstel gebruiken.
• Gebruik geen metalen voorwerpen of schuurmiddelen.
• Dompel het toestel nooit onder in water of enig ander vloeistof.
• Het toestel mag enkel voor huishoudelijke doeleinden worden gebruikt en is niet geschikt
voor professioneel of continu gebruik.
MILIEUBESCHERMING – RICHTLIJN 2012/19/EG
Om ons milieu en onze gezondheid te beschermen, moet afgedankte elektrische en
elektronische apparatuur in overeenstemming met welbepaalde regels weggegooid worden.
Dit vergt zowel de inzet van de leveranciers als van de gebruikers.
Daarom mag uw apparaat, zoals op het typeplaatje of op de verpakking aangegeven door
het symbool , niet met het gewone huisvuil weggegooid worden. De gebruiker heeft het
recht het toestel gratis naar een gemeentelijk centrum van gescheiden inzameling te brengen
waar het overeenkomstig de richtlijn hergebruikt, gerecycleerd of voor andere doeleinden
gebruikt zal worden.
GARANTIEVOORWAARDEN
Voor onze producten gelden de wettelijke bepalingen wat betreft aanspraken op de
waarborg. Tijdens de wettelijke periode worden materiaal- of fabrieksfouten gedekt. Op de
waarborg kan geen aanspraak worden gemaakt voor breekbare onderdelen, of voor
defecten ten gevolge van gebruik voor verkeerde doeleinden of van slecht onderhoud, van
overmatige slijtage door intensief gebruik, of van foutief gebruik wegens de niet-naleving van
de gebruiksaanwijzing, of voor defecten ten gevolge van normale slijtage. Op de waarborg
kan ook geen aanspraak worden gemaakt indien het toestel gewijzigd werd of indien er
pogingen tot herstelling werden uitgevoerd. In dit geval kan de verkoper ook niet
aansprakelijk worden gehouden in geval van ongevallen.
Indien u een defect vaststelt, gelieve contact op te nemen met de verkoper of winkel waar u
het toestel gekocht hebt en overhandig het volledige toestel in zijn oorspronkelijke verpakking

samen met uw kasticket. Aanspraken op de garantie gelden enkel indien het kasticket of een
kopie van een eventuele herstelfactuur bijgesloten wordt.
Of stuur uw toestel gereinigd, goed verpakt en gefrankeerd met een korte, duidelijk leesbare
beschrijving van de defecten samen met het kasticket naar onze klantendienst in onze fabriek
in Bad Blankenburg.
Defecte accessoires leiden niet tot het omruilen van het toestel, maar worden gratis
vervangen. Gelieve in dit geval niet het toestel terug te sturen, maar enkel de defecte
accessoires. Gebroken glas kan mits betaling vervangen worden.
Accessoires die defect zijn wegens slijtage evenals reiniging, onderhoud of het vervangen van
onderdelen die aan slijtage onderhevig zijn, worden niet door de waarborg gedekt en moeten
dus betaald worden!
NA AFLOOP VAN DE WETTELIJKE GARANTIEPERIODE
Herstellingen na afloop van de garantieperiode kunnen mits betaling door bekwame
gekwalificeerde vaklui of herstellingsdiensten uitgevoerd worden.
ErP-verordening – EU-richtlijn 1275/2008
Wij, Efbe Elektrogeräte GmbH, bevestigen hierbij dat ons product voldoet aan de vereisten
van richtlijn 1275/2008/EU. Ons product beschikt dan wel niet over een functie om het
stroomverbruik tot een minimum te beperken, die volgens richtlijn 1275/2008/EU het product na
het beëindigen van de hoofdfunctie in de uit-stand of stand-bystand (slaapstand) zou moeten
zetten, maar dit is praktisch onmogelijk, want dit zou de hoofdfunctie van het product
dermate schaden dat het gebruik van het product niet meer mogelijk zou zijn!
Daarom zeggen we in onze handleiding altijd aan de klant om de stekker onmiddellijk na het
beëindigen van het bakken uit het stopcontact te trekken.
