WICHTIGE SICHERHEITSVORSCHRIFTEN

Lesen Sie aufmerksam die Gebrauchsanleitung, bevor Sie Ihr Gerät benutzen.

Wichtig: Dieses Produkt kann von Kindern ab 8 Jahren sowie von Personen mit reduzierten physischen, sensorischen oder mentalen Fähigkeiten oder Mangel an Erfahrungen und/oder Wissen benutzt werden, wenn sie beaufsichtigt oder bezüglich des sicheren Gebrauchs des Produktes unterwiesen wurden und die daraus resultierenden Gefahren verstanden haben. Kontrollieren Sie, ob die Netzspannung mit der auf dem Gerät vermerkten Spannung übereinstimmt, bevor Sie das Gerät benutzen.

Lassen Sie Ihr Gerät niemals beim Gebrauch unbeaufsichtigt.

WICHTIG: Wenn die Absenktaste während des Betriebes blockiert (z.B. wegen zu dicker Brotscheiben) und das Brot anfängt zu brennen, ziehen Sie sofort den Stecker aus der Steckdose und lassen Sie das Gerät in einem ausreichend belüfteten Raum vollständig abkühlen, bevor Sie es entleeren und reinigen. Wenn das Problem trotz passender Brotscheiben anhält, benutzen Sie das Gerät nicht, sondern wenden Sie sich an einen Fachmann(*).

Überprüfen Sie regelmäßig, ob die Anschlussleitung nicht beschädigt ist. Bei Beschädigung der Anschlussleitung oder des Gerätes letzteres nicht benutzen. Lassen Sie es von einem Fachmann(*) überprüfen. Für Reparaturen wenden Sie sich an einen Fachmann (*). Eine beschädigte Anschlussleitung sollte von einem Fachmann(*) ausgewechselt werden.

Benutzen Sie das Gerät nur zu Haushaltszwecken, wie in der Bedienungsanleitung angegeben.

Tauchen Sie das Gerät niemals in Wasser oder andere Flüssigkeiten, weder zum Reinigen, noch zu einem anderen Zweck. Stellen Sie das Gerät niemals in die Spülmaschine.

Benutzen Sie das Gerät nicht in der Nähe einer Wärmequelle.

Entfernen Sie den Stecker aus der Steckdose, bevor Sie das Gerät reinigen.

Benutzen Sie das Gerät nicht im Freien und bewahren Sie es an einem trockenen Platz auf.

Benutzen Sie nur Zubehör, welches vom Lieferanten empfohlen wurde. Anderes Zubehör stellt eine Gefahr für den Benutzer dar und das Gerät könnte dadurch beschädigt werden.

Ziehen Sie niemals an der Anschlussleitung, um das Gerät zu bewegen. Achten Sie darauf, dass die Anschlussleitung nicht zufälligerweise irgendwo hängen bleibt und dies zum Fall des Gerätes führen könnte. Wickeln Sie die Anschlussleitung nicht um das Gerät herum oder knicken Sie sie nicht.

Stellen Sie das Gerät auf einen Tisch oder auf eine ebene Fläche damit es nicht umfällt.

Achten Sie darauf, dass das Gerät vollständig erkaltet ist, bevor Sie es reinigen oder wegräumen.

Achten Sie darauf, dass die Anschlussleitung nicht mit den heißen Teilen des Gerätes in Kontakt kommt. Berühren Sie die heißen Teile des Gerätes nicht.

Achten Sie darauf, dass die heißen Teile während des Toastens nicht mit leicht entflammbarem Material, wie Gardinen, Tischdecken, usw. in Berührung kommen. Brandgefahr! Das Gerät sollte mindestens einen Meter von dem leicht entflammbaren Material entfernt sein.

Benutzen Sie das Gerät nicht zum Auftauen von Nahrung und legen Sie keine Brotscheiben in das Gerät, die mit Butter bzw. Margarine geschmiert sind oder deren Dicke das Hochspringen der Brotscheiben verhindert. Beachten Sie diese Vorschriften ins besondere, da Letztere oft nicht befolgt werden und die Toaster deshalb auch die Ursache von Wohnungsbränden sein können.

Entfernen Sie regelmäßig die Brotkrümel aus dem Gerät. Ziehen Sie dazu erst den Stecker aus der Steckdose. Siehe Abschnitt « Reinigung ».

Benutzen Sie beim Reinigen keine Topfkratzer, da dies im Nachhinein zu einem Kurzschluss führen könnte.

Ihr Gerät darf niemals über eine externe Zeitschaltuhr oder irgendein anderes, separates Fernbedienungssystem eingeschaltet werden.

(*) Fachmann: Anerkannter Kundendienst des Lieferanten oder des Importeurs, der für derartige Reparaturen zuständig ist. Wenden Sie sich für eventuelle Reparaturen an diesen Kundendienst.

ACHTUNG: Solange Sie den Stecker nicht in die Steckdose gesteckt haben, wird die Absenktaste nicht einrasten!

ANWENDUNGSBEREICH/TÄTIGKEITSBEREICH

Benutzen Sie das Gerät nur zu Haushaltszwecken, wie in der Bedienungsanleitung angegeben.

Dieses Gerät ist bestimmt für Haushaltsanwendungen und ähnliche Nutzanwendungen, die von Laien in Läden, in gewerblichen Betrieben und in der Landwirtschaft verwendet werden.

VOR DEM ERSTEN GEBRAUCH

Packen Sie das Gerät sowie alle Zubehörteile aus, wischen Sie alle Teile leicht feucht ab und trocknen Sie diese anschließend.

Stecken Sie den Stecker in die Steckdose.

Bei Erstgebrauch kann es vorkommen, dass ein wenig Rauch oder ein unangenehmer Geruch entstehen. Dies ist bei der ersten Inbetriebnahme normal. Benutzen Sie Ihr Gerät daher erst einmal ohne Brot. Stellen Sie dazu den Regler (2) auf die Maximalstufe.

GEBRAUCHSANWEISUNG

Vor der ersten Benutzung kontrollieren Sie, ob das Gerät sauber ist (siehe Abschnitt “REINIGUNG”), da es in direktem Kontakt mit dem Brot ist. Kontrollieren Sie auch, ob keine Gegenstände in die Spalte gefallen sind.

Schließen Sie das Gerät nur an Schutzkontaktsteckdosen an.

Geben Sie die Scheiben Brot in die Spalten (für Baguette: Schneiden Sie das Baguette so, dass es in den Schlitz hineinpasst). Ihr Gerät ist sowohl für Baguette als auch für Toasts oder andere Scheiben Brot geeignet, solange die Brotstücke in den Schlitzen passen. Drücken Sie das Brot nicht zu stark in das Gerät, da Sie das Brot in das Gerät blockieren könnten.

Dann drücken Sie die Absenktaste herunter bis zum Einrasten. Wenn die Absenktaste nicht einrasten sollte, kontrollieren Sie, ob das Gerät an die Stromversorgung angeschlossen ist (die Taste rastet nur bei anliegender Spannung).

Sie können den Bräunungsgrad regeln, um ein mehr oder weniger geröstetes Toast gut zu bekommen, indem Sie den Bräunungsregler auf eine Stufe von 1 bis 6 stellen. Dafür brauchen Sie nur im Uhrzeigersinn zu drehen, um den Grad zu erhöhen und im Gegenuhrzeigersinn, um den Grad zu verringern. Je höher die Zahl ist, desto mehr erhöht sich der Bräunungsgrad.

Der Röstvorgang kann durch Betätigen der Stopp-Taste jederzeit unterbrochen werden.

Am Ende des Zyklus entsperrt die Absenktaste und Sie können den Toast entnehmen.

Nach dem Gebrauch ziehen Sie immer den Stecker aus der Steckdose und lassen Sie das Gerät abkühlen, bevor Sie es wegräumen oder bewegen.

BRÖTCHENAUFSATZ

Ihr Gerät ist mit einem Brötchenaufsatz ausgerüstet, so können Sie Ihre Brötchen auf diesem Aufsatz rösten. Dazu müssen Sie die Füße des Aufsatzes in die dazu vorgesehenen Öffnungen in den Schlitz des Toasters stecken. Um den Brötchenaufsatz zu entfernen, gehen Sie umgekehrt vor.

ACHTUNG: Vor Benutzung des Brötchenaufsatzes dessen Füße gemäß Abbildung „B“ ausklappen.

REINIGUNG

Vor der Reinigung immer den Stecker ziehen.

Eine Krümelschublade an der Unterseite des Gerätes ermöglicht es, die angesammelten Brotkrümel aus dem Toaster zu entfernen. Um sie zu öffnen, ziehen Sie den Hebel an der Unterseite des Gerätes. Um sie wieder zu schließen, gehen Sie umgekehrt vor.

Achtung! Die Krümelschublade muss regelmäßig entleert werden, da zu viele Krümel ansonsten brennen könnten und das Gerät demzufolge Feuer fangen könnte.

Die Außenseite können Sie mit einem sauberen, trockenen oder leicht angefeuchteten Tuch abwischen.

TOASTER NIEMALS IN WASSER ODER ANDERE FLÜSSIGKEITEN TAUCHEN.

Sonstige Reinigungsund Wartungsarbeiten sind einer offiziellen Kundendienststelle zu überlassen. Sonst erlischt die Garantie.

UMWELTSCHUTZ – RICHTLINIE 2012/19/EG

Zum Schutz unserer Umwelt und unserer Gesundheit sind Elektround Elektronik-Altgeräte nach bestimmten Regeln zu entsorgen. Dies fordert den Einsatz sowohl des Herstellers bzw. Lieferanten als auch des Verbrauchers.

Aus diesem Grund darf dieses Gerät, wie das Symbol auf dem Typenschild bzw. auf der Verpackung zeigt, nicht in den unsortierten Restmüll gegeben werden. Der Verbraucher hat das Recht, dieses Gerät über kommunale Sammelstellen zu entsorgen; von dort aus wird die spezifische Behandlung, Verwertung bzw. das Recycling gem. den Erfordernissen der Richtlinie sichergestellt.

Gewährleistungsund Garantiebedingungen

Für unsere Produkte gelten die gesetzlichen Bestimmungen für Gewährleistungsansprüche. Innerhalb dieser Zeit werden Mängel, welche auf Materialoder Herstellungsfehlern beruhen, behoben. Davon ausgeschlossen sind Beschädigungen an zerbrechlichen Teilen, Schäden, die durch übermäßige Beanspruchung, unsachgemäße Behandlung und Wartung sowie durch

Nichtbeachtung der Gebrauchsanweisung entstehen, Schäden, welche durch Verschleiß oder infolge normaler Abnützung entstanden sind. Ebenso weisen wir darauf hin, dass die Gewährleistung bei Fremdeingriff erlischt. Hierbei wird der Verkäufer im Fall eines Schadens keine Haftung übernehmen.

Sollten Sie einen Mangel feststellen, geben Sie bitte das vollständige Gerät an ihren Händler bzw. Verkaufsstelle. Gewährleistungsansprüche gelten nur in Verbindung mit dem zugehörigen Kassenbon bzw. der Kopie einer eventuellen Reparaturrechnung, die bei Inanspruchnahme der Serviceleistung unbedingt mit vorzulegen sind/ist.

Sie haben auch die Möglichkeit, das gesäuberte Gerät mit einer kurzen, gut lesbaren Fehlerbeschreibung zusammen mit dem Kassenbon in einer frankierten Sendung an unseren Kundendienst in unserer Firma in Bad Blankenburg (Tel. 036741 70268) zu senden.

Defekte Zubehörteile führen nicht zum Umtausch des gerätes, sondern werden im Austausch zugesandt. In diesem Fall bitte nicht das Gerät einschicken, sondern nur das defekte Zubehörteil bestellen!

Sowohl Defekte an Verbrauchszubehör bzw. Verschleißteilen, als auch Reinigung, Wartung oder der Austausch von Verschleißteilen, fallen nicht unter die Gewährleistung und sind deshalb kostenpflichtig!

NACH ABLAUF DER GESETZLICHEN GEWÄHRLEISTUNGSFRIST

Reparaturen können kostenpflichtig von entsprechendem Fachpersonal oder Reparaturservice ausgeführt werden.

ErP Deklaration – VO 1275/2008/EG

Wir, die Efbe Elektrogeräte GmbH bestätigen hiermit, dass unser Produkt den Anforderungen der VO 1275/2008/EG entspricht. Unser Produkt verfügt über keinen Bereitschaftszustand, da der Toaster direkt nach Beendigung des Röstvorganges komplett abschaltet und somit keine Energie verbraucht!

IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS

Please read these instructions carefully before using the appliance.

Important: This appliance can be used by children over 8 years old and people with reduced physical, sensory or mental capacities or with a lack of experience or knowledge if they have been given supervision or instructions concerning the safe use of the appliance and the risks involved.

Children shall not play with the appliance.

Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children unless they are older than

8 years and supervised.

Keep the appliance and its cord out of reach of children less than 8 years.

Check that your mains voltage corresponds to that stated on the appliance.

Never leave the appliance unsupervised when in use.

IMPORTANT: If the bread carriage handle gets blocked during use (e.g. because the bread slices are too thick) and the bread starts burning, unplug the appliance immediately and let it cool down before emptying and cleaning it. Should the problem persist, contact a competent qualified electrician (*).

Check the cord for damages from time to time. Never use the appliance if the cord or appliance shows any signs of damage. Should the cord be damaged, it must be replaced by a competent qualified electrician (*). All repairs should be made by a competent qualified electrician (*).

Use the appliance for domestic purposes only and in the way indicated in these instructions.

Never immerse the appliance in water or any other liquid for any reason whatsoever. Never place it into the dishwasher.

Never use the appliance near hot surfaces.

Before cleaning, always unplug the appliance from the power supply.

Never use the appliance outside and always place it in a dry environment.

Never use accessories which are not recommended by the producer. They could constitute a danger to the user and risk to damage the appliance.

Never move the appliance by pulling the cord. Make sure the cord cannot get caught in any way. Do not wind the cord around the appliance and do not bend it.

Stand the appliance on a table or flat surface.

Make sure the appliance has cooled down before cleaning and storing it.

Make sure the cord never comes into contact with the hot parts of the appliance. Never touch the hot parts of the appliance.

Make sure the appliance never comes into contact with inflammable materials, such as curtains, cloth, etc... when it is in use, as a fire might occur. Keep a distance of at least 1 metre between the appliance and the curtains.

Do not use the appliance for defrosting food and only insert unbuttered slices of bread whose thickness does not risk to prevent the bread from coming up. Be extremely strict about this as toasters are the cause of many fires when these elementary safety precautions are not observed.

Empty the appliance frequently of breadcrumbs. Make sure the appliance is always unplugged before emptying it. Check the « Maintenance and Cleaning » section.

When cleaning the appliance, do not use metallic scourers in order to avoid any future risk of electric short-circuit.

Your appliance must never be switched on through an external timer or any kind of separate remote control system.

(*)Competent qualified service: after-sales department of the producer or importer or any person who is qualified, approved and competent to perform this kind of repairs in order to avoid all danger. In case of need you should return the appliance to this service.

CAUTION: the bread carriage handle will not stay down if the appliance is not plugged in!

BEFORE USING THE TOASTER FOR THE FIRST TIME

In order to eliminate any manufacturing residues, operate the toaster a couple of times without bread with the browning control selector on a medium power level. Some smoke might escape.

OPERATION

Before using your appliance for the first time, check if it is clean (see “Maintenance and cleaning”) as it comes into direct contact with bread. Check if any object has fallen into the slots.

In the first time, connect the appliance only to a mains earthed wall socket.

Place the bread slices in the slots (for French bread, cut a loaf shorter than the slots, then cut it in two pieces along its length). Your appliance is provided to receive French bread, but also pieces of toast or other bread slices if their thickness and their length are shorter than the one of the slots. Make sure not to force when inserting the bread in order not to block it in the slots.

Press down the bread carriage handle until it stops. Then release the pressure and the handle will stay in the lower position, which means that the heating process has begun. If the handle comes up immediately, check if the appliance is plugged in as the handle blocks only when the unit is plugged in.

You can adjust the browning intensity to obtain a more or less toasted bread by positioning the browning control selector to one of the degrees marked from 1 to 6. Therefore you only have to turn clockwise to increase the intensity, and anticlockwise to decrease it. The higher the number is, the more toasted the bread will be.

During the functioning, if you think that the bread is toasted enough or for another reason, you can break the heating process simply by pressing the cancel button.

Always unplug the appliance after use and let it cool down before handling or storing it.

RACK FOR BUN WARMING

Your appliance is provided with a rack for bun warming. To install the rack, insert its feet in the openings foreseen to that purpose inside the slot of the appliance. To store the rack, proceed inversely.

CAUTION: before using the rack for bun warming, fold out its feet as indicated on picture „B“.

MAINTENANCE AND CLEANING

Before attempting any cleaning operation, make sure the toaster is unplugged from the supply socket and fully cooled down.

To remove bread crumbs, slide the crumb tray situated on the side of the appliance.

Caution! It is very important to empty the crumb tray regularly. Crumbs that have accumulated in the toaster might burn and the appliance might catch fire.

To clean the exterior surfaces, simply wipe over with a soft damp cloth.

ON NO ACCOUNT MUST THE TOASTER BE IMMERSED IN WATER OR ANY OTHER LIQUID.

All other maintenance and repair should be performed by a qualified technician.

PROTECTION OF THE ENVIRONMENT – DIRECTIVE 2012/19/EC

In order to preserve our environment and protect human health, the waste electrical and electronic equipment should be disposed of in accordance with specific rules with the

implication of both suppliers and users. For this reason, as indicated by the symbol on the rating label or on the packaging, your appliance should not be disposed of as unsorted municipal waste. The user has the right to bring it to a municipal collection point performing waste recovery by means of reuse, recycling or use for other applications in accordance with the directive.

TERMS OF GUARANTEE

For our products, the legal terms concerning claims under guarantee are valid. During the legal period, all material and manufacturing defects are covered. No claims will be accepted for broken accessories, defects resulting from inappropriate use or care, excessive wear due to intensive use, wrong use due to the non-observance of the instruction manual, or normal wear and tear. No guarantee claims will be accepted if the appliance has been modified or if attempts have been made to repair the appliance. In such case, the vendor cannot be held responsible in case of accidents.

If you detect a defect, please contact your vendor or shop and return your complete appliance in its original packaging together with the receipt. Claims under guarantee will only be valid if the receipt or a copy of a repair bill is handed over with the appliance that needs repair.

Or send the appliance cleaned, well packed and with a short, easily readable description of the default as well as the receipt freight prepaid to our customer service in our firm in Bad Blankenburg.

In case of a defective accessory, the complete appliance will not be exchanged, but only the accessory will be sent free of charge. In such case, do not return the complete appliance but only order the accessory! In case of glass damages, glass spare parts will be charged.

Pieces undergoing wear and tear as well as cleaning and maintenance or the exchange of worn out pieces are not covered by the guarantee and will thus be charged!

AFTER THE LEGAL PERIOD OF GUARANTEE

Repairs after the guarantee period can be performed at a charge by a competent qualified technician or a repair service.

ErP Declaration – Regulation 1275/2008/EC

We, Efbe Elektrogeräte GmbH, hereby confirm that our product meets the requirements of regulation 1275/2008/EC. Our product does not dispose of a standby mode as the toaster switches off completely immediately after the toasting is finished and as a consequence does not consume electricity!

Les enfants ne doivent surtout pas jouer avec l’appareil.

Le nettoyage et l’entretien ne doivent pas être effectués par des enfants à moins qu’ils ne soient âgés de 8 ans et plus et supervisés.

Conservez cet appareil et son fil électrique hors de portée des enfants âgés de moins de 8 ans.

Avant d'utiliser l'appareil, vérifiez que la tension du réseau correspond bien à celle de l'appareil.

Ne laissez jamais votre appareil sans surveillance lorsque celui-ci est en fonctionnement ou sous tension.

N’utilisez l'appareil que pour des usages domestiques et de la manière indiquée dans la notice.

Ne plongez jamais l'appareil dans l'eau ou dans tout autre liquide ni pour son nettoyage ni pour toute autre raison. Ne le mettez jamais au lave-vaisselle.

N'utilisez pas l'appareil près de sources de chaleur.

La fiche doit être débranchée avant de nettoyer votre appareil et de le ranger.

Veillez à ne pas utiliser l'appareil à l'extérieur et entreposez-le dans un endroit sec.

Ne pas utiliser des accessoires non recommandés par le fabricant, cela peut présenter un danger pour l’utilisateur et risque d’endommager l’appareil.

Ne déplacez jamais l’appareil en tirant sur le cordon d’alimentation. Veillez à ce que ce dernier ne puisse être accidentellement accroché et ce, afin d’éviter toute chute de l’appareil. Evitez d’enrouler le cordon autour de l’appareil et ne le tordez pas.

Ne pas toucher les surfaces chaudes de l’appareil.

Veillez à ce que le cordon n’entre pas en contact avec des surfaces chaudes de l’appareil.
