Tauchen Sie das Gerät niemals in Wasser oder andere
Flüssigkeiten, weder zum Reinigen, noch zu einem
anderen Zweck. Geben Sie das Gerät niemals in die
Spülmaschine.
Benutzen Sie das Gerät nicht in der Nähe einer
Wärmequelle.
Lassen Sie den Wasserkocher abkühlen und ziehen Sie
den Stecker aus der Steckdose bevor Sie das Gerät
reinigen oder aufräumen.

Ziehen Sie niemals an der Anschlussleitung um das
Gerät zu bewegen. Achten Sie darauf, dass die
Anschlussleitung nicht irgendwo hängen bleibt und dies
zum Fall des Gerätes führen könnte. Wickeln Sie die
Anschlussleitung nicht um das Gerät oder knicken Sie
diese nicht.
Stellen Sie das Gerät bzw. den Sockel auf eine stabile,
ebene Fläche.
Ist Ihr Modell mit einem separaten Sockel oder einer
abtrennbaren Anschlussleitung ausgestattet, so
entfernen Sie diese Teile bevor Sie den Wasserkocher
mit Wasser füllen. Ist Ihr Wasserkocher mit einer festen
Anschlussleitung ausgestattet, ziehen Sie dann erst den
Stecker aus der Steckdose, bevor Sie den
Wasserkocher füllen.
Achten Sie darauf, dass der Wasserkocher zwischen der
Maximum- und Minimummarkierung gefüllt wird.
Überprüfen Sie stets ob der Wasserstand nicht unter die

Achtung! Wenn Sie zuviel Wasser einfüllen, kann der
Wasserkocher überkochen und kochendes Wasser
kann herausspritzen.
Während des Erhitzungsvorganges des Wassers sollte
der Deckel sachgemäß geschlossen sein. Öffnen Sie
erst dann den Deckel, wenn sich der Wasserkocher
selbst abgeschaltet hat.
Achten Sie darauf, dass Sie sich nicht verbrennen, da
beim Kochvorgang heißer Dampf entweichen kann.
Ist Ihr Wasserkocher mit einem separaten Sockel
ausgestattet, so darf der Wasserkocher nur mit diesem
Sockel benutzt werden.
Wenn das Symbol auf einer bestimmten Fläche des
Gerätes geklebt/geprägt ist, ist dies ein Warnhinweis.
Dieses Symbol bedeutet: ACHTUNG, diese Fläche
könnte während des Gebrauches heiß werden.
Entfernen Sie den Stecker aus der Steckdose, bevor Sie
das Gerät reinigen. Lassen Sie den Wasserkocher
abkühlen, bevor Sie ihn erneut füllen, reinigen oder
wegräumen.
Entfernen Sie immer den Stecker aus der Steckdose,
wenn Sie das Gerät nicht benutzen.
Achten Sie darauf, dass die heißen Teile während des
Betriebes nicht mit leicht entflammbarem Material, wie
Gardinen, Tischdecken, usw. in Berührung kommen.
Gerät nicht auf heiße Oberflächen oder in der Nähe
von offenen Gasflammen abstellen – Gefahr der
Gehäuseanschmelzung.
Benutzen Sie zum Entkalken ausschließlich hierfür

ANWENDUNGSBEREICH/TÄTIGKEITSBEREICH
Verwenden Sie dieses Gerät nur wie in der Bedienungsanleitung beschrieben. Jeglicher
andere Gebrauch kann zu Schäden am Gerät oder Verletzungen führen.
Dieses Gerät ist nicht für kommerziellen Gebrauch geeignet. Es ist nur für die Nutzung im
Haushalt und ähnlichen Anwendungen konzipiert, wie beispielsweise:
–in Küchen für Mitarbeiter in Läden, Büros und anderen gewerblichen Bereichen;
–von Kunden in Hotels, Motels und anderen Wohneinrichtungen;
–in Frühstückspensionen;
–in landwirtschaftlichen Anwesen.
ERSTE INBETRIEBNAHME
Vor der ersten Benutzung, oder nach dem Entkalken des Wasserkochers, kochen Sie frisches
Wasser auf und gießen Sie das aufgekochte Wasser weg. Wenn das Gerät abgekühlt ist,
wiederholen Sie das Ganze dreimal. Anschließend spülen Sie den Wasserkocher kalt aus.
INBETRIEBNAHME
Entfernen Sie immer den Wasserkocher von dem Sockel, bevor Sie ihn mit Wasser füllen.
Öffnen Sie den Deckel, indem Sie auf den Entriegelungsknopf drücken und füllen Sie den
Behälter mit kaltem Wasser. Befüllen Sie den Wasserkocher zwischen der Minimum- und
Maximummarkierung.
Schließen Sie den Deckel, indem Sie ihn nach unten drücken, bis Sie einen Klick hören.
Vergewissern Sie sich, dass er richtig geschlossen ist.
Stellen Sie den Wasserkocher auf seinen Sockel und schalten Sie das Gerät ein, indem Sie
den Schalter, der sich auf dem Griff befindet, nach unten drücken. Die rote
Kontrollleuchte leuchtet auf, um anzudeuten, dass das Gerät in Betrieb ist.
Der Wasserkocher schaltet sich automatisch ab, sobald das Wasser kocht. Sie können ihn
jederzeit ausschalten, indem Sie den Schalter betätigen.
Wenn Sie Wasser zweimal kochen wollen, nachdem der Wasserkocher automatisch
ausgeschaltet ist, lassen Sie zuerst das Wasser abkühlen. Danach schalten Sie das Gerät
wieder ein.
ÜBERHITZUNGSSCHUTZ
Der Wasserkocher ist mit einem Überhitzungsschutz ausgestattet, der das Gerät
abschaltet, wenn es versehentlich ohne Wasser eingeschaltet wurde. Beachten Sie bitte,

dass sich hierbei nur der Thermostat ausschaltet, der Schalter aber in der EIN-Position (I)
bleibt.
Falls dies vorkommt, bitte das Gerät ausschalten, indem Sie den Schalter in die AUS-
Position (0) stellen und den Stecker ziehen. Warten Sie ca. 10 Minuten und gießen Sie
kaltes Wasser in den Wasserkocher. Dies reicht, um den Überhitzungsschutz erneut zu
aktivieren. Der Wasserkocher wird danach wieder normal funktionieren.
REINIGUNG UND PFLEGE
Vor der Reinigung immer den Netzstecker ziehen und das Gerät abkühlen lassen.
Verwenden Sie ein feuchtes Tuch zum Reinigen. Ablagerungen an den Innenwänden
können mit einer weichen Bürste entfernt werden. Verwenden Sie niemals scharfe oder
scheuernde Reinigungsmittel.
Tauchen Sie den Wasserkocher oder den Sockel niemals in Flüssigkeiten ein und reinigen
Sie ihn nicht unter fließendem Wasser.
Die beflockten Teile sind wasserbeständig und können mit einem feuchten Tuch gereinigt
werden.
FILTER
Ihr Gerät ist mit einem Filter ausgerüstet. Überprüfen Sie daher den korrekten Gebrauch
des Filters.
Wenn der Deckel geöffnet ist, können Sie den Partikelfilter entfernen, indem Sie ihn
vorsichtig von innen nach vorn oben herausdrücken und unter fließendem Wasser
reinigen.
Es ist notwendig, den Filter regelmäßig zu reinigen.
ENTKALKEN
Das Gerät sollte erst dann entkalkt werden, wenn Kalkansatz im Wasserbehälter sichtbar wird.
Verwenden Sie zum Entkalken ein handelsübliches Entkalkungsmittel oder besser, aus Gründen
des Umweltschutzes, Essig- oder Zitronensäure.
Beachten Sie beim Entkalken:
Füllen Sie zuerst Wasser in das Gerät, dann das Entkalkungsmittel.
Dosieren Sie die Entkalkungsmittel nicht zu stark! Beachten Sie die Gebrauchsanweisung
der Entkalkungsmittel.
Verwenden Sie bei der Entkalkung mit Essig-Essenz max. 2-3ml.
Vorsicht, beim Aufkochen kann die Mischung schäumen!
Spülen Sie den Behälter nach der Entkalkung mit klarem Wasser aus.
UMWELTSCHUTZ – RICHTLINIE 2012/19/EG
Zum Schutz unserer Umwelt und unserer Gesundheit sind Elektro- und Elektronik-Altgeräte nach
bestimmten Regeln zu entsorgen. Dies fordert den Einsatz sowohl des Herstellers bzw.
Lieferanten als auch des Verbrauchers.
Aus diesem Grund darf dieses Gerät, welche das Symbol auf dem Typenschild bzw. auf
der Verpackung zeigt, nicht in den unsortierten Restmüll gegeben werden. Der Verbraucher
hat das Recht, dieses Gerät kostenfrei über kommunale Sammelstellen zu entsorgen; von dort

Gewährleistungs- und GarantieBedingungen
Für unsere Produkte gelten die gesetzlichen Bestimmungen für Gewährleistungsansprüche.
Innerhalb dieser Zeit werden Mängel, welche auf Material- oder Herstellungsfehlern beruhen,
behoben. Davon ausgeschlossen sind Beschädigungen an zerbrechlichen Teilen, Schäden, die
durch übermäßige Beanspruchung, unsachgemäße Behandlung und Wartung sowie durch
Nichtbeachtung der Gebrauchsanweisung entstehen, Schäden, welche durch Verschleiß oder
infolge normaler Abnützung entstanden sind. Ebenso weisen wir darauf hin, dass die
Gewährleistung bei Fremdeingriff erlischt. Hierbei wird der Verkäufer im Fall eines Schadens
keine Haftung übernehmen.
Sollten Sie einen Mangel feststellen, geben Sie bitte das vollständige Gerät an ihren Händler
bzw. Verkaufsstelle. Gewährleistungsansprüche gelten nur in Verbindung mit dem zugehörigen
Kassenbon bzw. der Kopie einer eventuellen Reparaturrechnung, die bei Inanspruchnahme
der Serviceleistung unbedingt mit vorzulegen sind/ist.
Sie haben auch die Möglichkeit, das gesäuberte Gerät mit einer kurzen, gut lesbaren
Fehlerbeschreibung zusammen mit dem Kassenbon in einer frankierten Sendung an unseren
Kundendienst in unserer Firma in Bad Blankenburg zu senden.
Defekte Zubehörteile führen nicht zum Umtausch des Gerätes, sondern werden kostenlos im
Austausch zugesandt. In diesem Fall bitte nicht das Gerät einschicken, sondern nur das
defekte Zubehörteil bestellen! Glasbruchschäden sind grundsätzlich kostenpflichtig.
Sowohl Defekte an Verbrauchszubehör bzw. Verschleißteilen, als auch Reinigung, Wartung
oder der Austausch von Verschleißteilen, fallen nicht unter die Gewährleistung und sind
deshalb kostenpflichtig!
Nach Ablauf der Gesetzlichen Gewährleistungsfrist
Reparaturen können kostenpflichtig von entsprechendem Fachpersonal oder Reparaturservice
ausgeführt werden.

Never use the appliance near hot surfaces.
Before cleaning or storing the appliance, always
unplug the appliance from the power supply and let it
cool down.
Never use the appliance outside and always place it in
a dry environment.
Never use accessories that are not recommended by
the producer. They could constitute a danger to the
user and risk to damage the appliance.
Never move the appliance by pulling the cord. Make
sure the cord cannot get caught in any way. Stand the
appliance on a table or flat surface. Do not wind the
cord around the appliance and do not bend it.
If your type of appliance has a separate base or a
detachable cord, remove them from the water cooker
when filling it. If your appliance has a fixed cord,
unplug it before filling it.
Always fill between the minimum and maximum marks.
The water must never be below the minimum mark or
the heating element might be damaged. Do not
overfill the jug kettle as boiling water might overflow.
When using, make sure the lid is closed correctly. Never
raise the lid when the jug kettle is in use and when there
are risks of hot water projection due to the bubbling.
Be careful not to get burned by the hot steam that
evaporates when the water is boiling and especially
when you open the lid.
Use only the base that is supplied with the jug kettle.
Should the symbol be indicated on a certain
surface, you need to be careful when handling the
product. This symbol means “CAUTION, this surface may
get very hot during use”.

Before cleaning, always unplug the appliance from the
power supply. Always let the appliance cool down
before cleaning or filling it again or before storing it.
Unplug the appliance when not in use.
Make sure the hot parts of the appliance never come
into contact with inflammable materials, such as
curtains, cloth, etc. when it is in use, as a fire might
occur. Do not put the appliance on hot surfaces or
near open gas flames as the casing might melt.
When descaling, use a product specifically made for
that purpose that you find in the shops. Do not use
ammonia or any other substance that could damage
your health.
Your appliance must never be switched on through an
external timer or any kind of
separate remote control system.

FIELD OF APPLICATION/OF OPERATION
Use the appliance for domestic purposes only and in the way indicated in these instructions.
This appliance is intended to be used for domestic applications and similar applications
such as:
-Kitchen corners reserved for personnel in shops, offices and other professional
environments.
-Farms.
-The use by clients of hotels, motels and other environments with a residential
character.
-Environments of the “bed and breakfast” type.
BEFORE THE FIRST OPERATION
For the perfect taste, operate the jug kettle with fresh water in order to clean any residue left
from the manufacturing process. When the appliance has cooled down, repeat the process 3
times with fresh water, before rinsing.
OPERATION
Always remove the jug from the power base before filling it or before any operation.

Open the lid by pressing its release button and fill the tank with fresh water, paying
attention not to fill under the minimum mark and above the maximum mark on the water
level indicator.
Close the lid by pressing it down until you hear a click. Make sure it closes correctly.
Put the jug onto the power base, plug into the wall socket and switch on by pressing down
the switch situated on the handle. The red pilot light comes on indicating the appliance is
operating.
The jug kettle will switch off automatically when the water has boiled. However, you can
stop the jug kettle anytime by putting the switch in the off position.
For instant reboiling, wait until the water has cooled down and switch on the appliance
again.
SAFETY CUT-OUT
This jug kettle is protected with an automatic safety device that switches off the appliance
if it is accidentally switched on without water. Please bear in mind that only the thermostat
is switched off in case of overheating, whereas the switch stays in the ON-position (I).
In this case, switch off the appliance by putting the switch in the OFF position (0) and wait
about 10 minutes for the heating element to cool. Then pour in sufficient cold water to
cover the heating element. This will reset the safety device.
The kettle may then be used as normal.
CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
Before attempting any cleaning operation, make sure the appliance is unplugged from
the supply socket and fully cooled down.
To clean the exterior surfaces, simply wipe over with a soft damp cloth and dry thoroughly.
Residues on the interior surfaces can be removed with a soft brush.
Never use abrasive products.
On no account must the jug kettle or its power base be immersed in water.
The flocked parts are water-resistant and can be cleaned with a damp cloth.
FILTER
Your appliance is provided with a filter. When you want to boil water, settle the filter first.
When the lid is open, you can remove the particulate filter by gently press out from the
inside to the front at the top and rinse under running water.
The filter should be rinsed clean regularly.
DESCALING
When scale becomes visible in the jug, you have to descale it. To remove scale from the jug
kettle, use products made especially available for this purpose, liquid descaling products or for
the sake of environmental protection you can use vinegar.
When descaling, please pay attention to the following points:
First pour some water in the appliance, and add the descaling product afterwards.
Make sure to dilute the product sufficiently. Please follow the instruction manual of the
descaling product.
When using vinegar, do not use more than 2-3 ml.
Caution, the mixture might froth during heating.

After descaling, rinse the appliance twice with fresh water.

municipal waste. The user has the right to bring it to a municipal collection point performing
waste recovery by means of reuse, recycling or use for other applications in accordance with
the directive.
TERMS OF GUARANTEE
For our products, the legal terms concerning claims under guarantee are valid. During the
legal period, all material and manufacturing defects are covered. No claims will be accepted
for broken accessories, defects resulting from inappropriate use or care, excessive wear due to
intensive use, wrong use due to the non-observance of the instruction manual, or normal wear
and tear. No guarantee claims will be accepted if the appliance has been modified or if
attempts have been made to repair the appliance. In such case, the vendor cannot be held
responsible in case of accidents.
If you detect a defect, please contact your vendor or shop and return your complete
appliance in its original packaging together with the receipt. Claims under guarantee will only
be valid if the receipt or a copy of a repair bill is handed over with the appliance that needs
repair.
Or send the appliance cleaned, well packed and with a short, easily readable description of
the default as well as the receipt freight prepaid to our customer service in our firm in Bad
Blankenburg.
In case of a defective accessory, the complete appliance will not be exchanged, but only the
accessory will be sent free of charge. In such case, do not return the complete appliance but
only order the accessory! In case of glass damages, glass spare parts will be charged.
Pieces undergoing wear and tear as well as cleaning and maintenance or the exchange of
worn out pieces are not covered by the guarantee and will thus be charged!
AFTER THE LEGAL PERIOD OF GUARANTEE
Repairs after the guarantee period can be performed at a charge by a competent qualified
technician or a repair service.

Ne plongez jamais l'appareil dans l'eau ou dans tout

associée à un cordon fixe, débranchez le cordon
avant de remplir la bouilloire.
Lors du remplissage, veillez à vous situer entre les
repères de graduation MIN et MAX. Vérifiez toujours
que l’eau n’est pas en dessous du niveau MIN afin
d’éviter une détérioration de l’élément chauffant et ne
dépassez jamais le niveau MAX car si votre bouilloire
est trop remplie, de l’eau bouillante peut être éjectée.
Veillez à ce que pendant le fonctionnement, le
couvercle soit correctement fermé. Ne soulevez le
couvercle que lorsque la bouilloire s’est arrêtée et qu’il

AVANT LA PREMIERE UTILISATION
Il est nécessaire de rincer votre bouilloire avant sa première utilisation. Pour cela, remplissez-la
au préalable avec de l’eau froide et mettez-la en fonctionnement. Une fois l’eau arrivée à
ébullition, videz la bouilloire, laissez-la refroidir, rincez-la et ensuite répétez l’opération 2 à 3 fois,
en veillant à remplir la bouilloire exclusivement avec de l’eau claire.
UTILISATION
Toujours enlever la bouilloire de son socle avant de la remplir d’eau.
Ouvrez le couvercle en appuyant sur le bouton de déverrouillage et remplissez le réservoir
d’eau froide en prenant garde de toujours vous situer entre les deux repères de niveau
"MIN" et "MAX" inscrits sur l'indication du niveau d'eau.
Refermez le couvercle en appuyant jusqu'à ce que vous entendiez un déclic et assurez-
vous qu’il est correctement fixé.
Posez la bouilloire sur son socle, branchez la fiche et mettez l'appareil en marche à l’aide
de l'interrupteur situé sur la poignée. Le témoin lumineux rouge s’allumera indiquant que
l’appareil fonctionne.
La bouilloire s’arrête automatiquement dès que l’eau bout mais vous pouvez l’arrêter à
tout moment en plaçant l’interrupteur sur la position "arrêt".
Si vous voulez faire réchauffer l’eau une seconde fois, pour un nouvel usage et que votre
appareil s’est arrêté automatiquement lors de la première utilisation, il faut tout d’abord
que l’eau soit suffisamment refroidie pour autoriser la mise en fonctionnement. Une fois
ceci réalisé, il suffit de placer de nouveau l’interrupteur sur la position "marche".
FONCTIONNEMENT A VIDE
Cette bouilloire est équipée d’un système de protection contre la surchauffe qui arrête
l’appareil automatiquement si celui-ci est mis en fonctionnement à vide,
accidentellement.
Si cela arrive, débranchez l’appareil et remettez l’interrupteur sur sa position "arrêt" (0).
Attendez 10 minutes avant de le remplir d’eau froide. Cela suffit pour désactiver le
dispositif de protection.
Si le problème persiste, veuillez contacter le service après-vente le plus proche.

NETTOYAGE ET ENTRETIEN
Toujours débrancher l’appareil et le laisser refroidir avant de le nettoyer.
Nettoyer les parties plastiques de l’appareil à l’aide d’un chiffon doux. Utiliser une brosse
douce pour enlever les dépôts de calcaire sur les parois intérieures.
Ne jamais utiliser de produits abrasifs.
Ne jamais plonger la bouilloire ou son socle dans l’eau ou dans tout autre liquide.
Les parties veloutées sont résistantes à l’eau et peuvent être nettoyées avec un chiffon
humide.
FILTRE
Votre appareil est muni d'un filtre qui doit obligatoirement être en place lorsque vous
utilisez votre appareil.
Lorsque le couvercle est ouvert, vous pouvez supprimer le filtre à particules par appuyer
doucement sur de l'intérieur vers l'avant au sommet et rincer sous l'eau courante.
Il est nécessaire de laver ce filtre de façon régulière pour le débarrasser notamment des
dépôts de calcaire.
DETARTRAGE
Dès que vous constatez un dépôt de calcaire dans la bouilloire, il est nécessaire de la
détartrer. Pour le détartrage de votre bouilloire, utilisez des produits spécifiques que vous
trouverez dans le commerce, des détartrants liquides ou, par souci de respect de
l'environnement, du vinaigre.
Lors du détartrage, veuillez faire attention aux points suivants:
Versez d'abord de l'eau dans la bouilloire avant d'ajouter le produit détartrant.
Assurez-vous que le produit est suffisamment dilué. Lisez le mode d'emploi du produit.
Si vous utilisez du vinaigre, n'utilisez pas plus de 2 à 3 ml.
Attention, lorsque la bouilloire chauffe, le mélange pourrait mousser!
Après le détartrage, rincez l'appareil deux fois à l'eau claire.
PROTECTION DE L’ENVIRONNEMENT – DIRECTIVE 2012/19/CE
Afin de préserver notre environnement et notre santé, l’élimination en fin de vie des appareils
électriques et électroniques doit se faire selon des règles bien précises et nécessite

autre usage contraire aux instructions fournies. La garantie devient caduque lorsque le produit
a été modifié ou des tentatives de réparation ont visiblement été faites. Ces manipulations
dégagent dans le même temps la responsabilité du vendeur en cas d’accidents.
Si vous constatez un défaut, adressez-vous à votre revendeur ou au magasin et retournez
l'appareil complet dans son emballage d'origine ainsi que le ticket de caisse. Les réclamations
introduites dans le cadre de la garantie sont uniquement valables si le ticket de caisse ou la
copie d’une facture de réparation éventuelle est joint(e).
Ou envoyez l'appareil nettoyé, bien emballé et dûment affranchi avec une courte description
du défaut en majuscules à notre service après-vente dans notre firme à Bad Blankenburg en
joignant également votre ticket de caisse.
Si des accessoires sont défectueux, l'appareil complet ne sera pas remplacé, mais les
accessoires seront échangés gratuitement. Dans ce cas, ne renvoyez donc pas l'appareil
complet mais commandez seulement l'accessoire défectueux! En cas de verre cassé, le
remplacement de l'accessoire concerné est payant. L'échange des accessoires soumis à
l'usure ainsi que le nettoyage et l'entretien ou l'échange de pièces usées ne sont pas couverts
par la garantie et l'échange de ces pièces sera donc payant!
APRES LA PERIODE LEGALE DE GARANTIE
Les réparations après la période de garantie peuvent être effectuées par un service qualifié
compétent ou par un service de réparation moyennant payement.

Gebruik het toestel enkel voor huishoudelijk gebruik en
op de wijze zoals vermeld in de gebruiksaanwijzing.
Dompel het toestel nooit onder in water of in enige
andere vloeistof, noch om het te reinigen, noch om
welke andere reden ook. Steek het nooit in een
vaatwasmachine.
Gebruik het toestel niet in de nabijheid van
warmtebronnen.
Gebruik het toestel niet buiten en berg het op op een
droge plaats.
Gebruik geen accessoires die niet door de fabrikant
aanbevolen werden. Dit kan gevaarlijk zijn voor de
gebruiker en het toestel beschadigen.
Trek nooit aan het snoer om het toestel te verplaatsen.
Zorg dat het elektriciteitssnoer nergens kan
achterhaken en daardoor de val van het toestel
veroorzaken. Draai het snoer niet rond het toestel en
plooi het niet.
Zet het toestel en/of zijn houder op een stabiel
oppervlak.
Als uw model een aparte houder of verwijderbaar
snoer bevat, zorg er dan voor dat zij van uw waterkoker
verwijderd worden vooraleer hem te vullen. Indien uw
waterkoker een vast snoer heeft, trek dan eerst de
stekker uit het stopcontact vooraleer hem te vullen.
Zorg ervoor dat de waterkoker gevuld wordt tussen het
minimum- en het maximumpeil. Controleer steeds dat
het water niet onder het minimumpeil is, vermits dit
beschadiging van het verwarmingselement kan
veroorzaken. Overschrijd nooit het maximumpeil want
als uw waterkoker te vol gevuld is, bestaat er gevaar
voor overkoken (brandwonden).

Tijdens de werking van het toestel dient het deksel
correct gesloten te zijn. Til het deksel enkel op wanneer
de waterkoker gestopt is of wanneer er geen risico op
spatten van kokend water is.
Let erop dat u zich niet verbrandt aan de stoom die
tijdens het koken ontsnapt en vooral wanneer u het
deksel opent.
Laat het toestel afkoelen vooraleer het opnieuw te
vullen of te reinigen.
Gebruik uw waterkoker enkel met de bijgeleverde
sokkel.
Wanneer het symbool op een bepaald oppervlak
gekleefd is, moet u voorzichtig zijn. Dit symbool
betekent het volgende: OPGELET, dit oppervlak kan
tijdens het gebruik heel warm worden.
Trek de stekker uit het stopcontact vooraleer u het
toestel reinigt. Laat het toestel afkoelen vooraleer het
opnieuw te vullen of te reinigen of op te bergen.
Trek de stekker uit het stopcontact als het toestel niet in
gebruik is.
Zorg ervoor dat de warme onderdelen van het toestel
tijdens het gebruik niet in aanraking komen met
gemakkelijk ontvlambare materialen, zoals gordijnen,
een tafelkleed en dergelijke vermits deze in brand
zouden kunnen vliegen. Plaats het toestel niet op hete
oppervlakken of in de buurt van open gasvlammen
vermits de behuizing zou kunnen smelten.
Gebruik voor het ontkalken enkel speciaal hiertoe
bestemde producten. Gebruik geen ammoniak of

en bevoegd is om dergelijke herstellingen te doen zodat elk gevaar vermeden wordt. Gelieve
het toestel bij problemen naar deze dienst terug te brengen.
TOEPASSINGS-/GEBRUIKSDOMEIN
Gebruik het toestel enkel voor huishoudelijk gebruik en op de wijze zoals vermeld in de
gebruiksaanwijzing.
Dit toestel is bestemd om te worden gebruikt voor huishoudelijke toepassingen en
gelijkaardige toepassingen zoals:
EERSTE INGEBRUIKNAME
Vóór de eerste ingebruikname is het noodzakelijk de waterkoker te spoelen. Vul daarvoor het
apparaat met koud water nadat u het van zijn sokkel hebt gehaald. Nooit meer water vullen
dan tot het bovenste indicatiestreepje. Het deksel goed sluiten, het apparaat weer op de
sokkel plaatsen, de stekker in het stopcontact steken en het apparaat inschakelen. Wacht tot
het water kookt, ledig de waterkoker, laat hem afkoelen, spoel hem na en herhaal alle
handelingen minstens 3 maal. Opgelet, enkel water in de waterkoker gieten.
GEBRUIK
Haal altijd de waterkoker van zijn sokkel voordat u er water in giet.
Open het deksel door op de ontgrendelingsknop te drukken en vul het waterreservoir met
koud water. Zorg ervoor dat de waterkoker gevuld wordt tussen het minimum- en het
maximumpeil dat op het waterpeilvenster is aangeduid.
Sluit het deksel door het naar beneden te drukken totdat u een klik hoort. Zorg ervoor dat
het correct gesloten is.
Plaats het apparaat weer op de sokkel, steek de stekker in het stopcontact en schakel het
toestel aan door de schakelaar, die zich op het handvat bevindt, naar beneden te
drukken. Het rode controlelampje gaat branden om aan te duiden dat het toestel in
werking is.
Het apparaat schakelt zich automatisch uit wanneer het kookpunt bereikt is. U kunt het
apparaat echter ook manueel uitschakelen.
Als u water een tweede keer wil opwarmen, nadat het apparaat automatisch gedurende
de eerste ingebruikname uitgeschakeld is, moet het water genoeg afgekoeld zijn om een
tweede ingebruikname mogelijk te maken. U moet uiteraard ook het toestel opnieuw
aanschakelen.
BEVEILIGING TEGEN OVERVERHITTING
Het apparaat is beveiligd tegen oververhitting en schakelt zich automatisch uit, mocht
het per ongeluk zonder water ingeschakeld worden. Opgelet, enkel de thermostaat
wordt uitgeschakeld, terwijl de schakelaar in de ON-stand (I) blijft.

Indien dit gebeurt, schakel het toestel dan uit door de schakelaar in de OFF-stand (0) te
zetten, trek de stekker uit het stopcontact en laat het apparaat 10 minuten afkoelen. U
kunt het apparaat dan weer gebruiken. Dit is genoeg om de beveiliging te stoppen.
REINIGING EN ONDERHOUD
Altijd de stekker uit het stopcontact verwijderen en het apparaat laten afkoelen vooraleer
het te reinigen.
De kunststofdelen met een licht vochtige doek reinigen. Gebruik een zachte borstel om
de kalkafzetting op de binnenwanden weg te nemen.
Gebruik geen schuurmiddelen.
Dompel het apparaat of de sokkel nooit onder in water of andere vloeistoffen.
De vlokkige onderdelen zijn waterbestendig en kunnen met een vochtige doek
schoongemaakt worden.
FILTER
Het apparaat is met een filter uitgerust die absoluut op zijn plaats moet zijn wanneer u het
apparaat gebruikt.
Wanneer het deksel geopend is, kan u de kalkfilter verwijderen door het voorzichtig uit
druk van binnen naar het front aan de bovenkant en spoel ze onder stromend water
afspoelen.
Het is noodzakelijk de filter regelmatig te reinigen om onder andere kalkdeeltjes te
verwijderen.
ONTKALKEN
Wanneer kalkaanslag in de waterkoker zichtbaar wordt, moet u het toestel ontkalken. Gebruik
voor het ontkalken van uw waterkoker slechts die producten, die hiervoor in de vakhandel
verkrijgbaar zijn, vloeibare ontkalkingsmiddelen, of om milieuvriendelijke redenen azijn.
Gelieve bij het ontkalken op de volgende punten te letten:
Giet eerst water in het toestel, en daarna pas het ontkalkingsmiddel.
Zorg ervoor dat u het product genoeg verdunt. Lees de gebruiksaanwijzing van het
ontkalkingsmiddel.
Indien u azijn gebruikt, gelieve niet meer dan 2 à 3 ml te gebruiken.
Opgelet, bij het koken zou het mengsel kunnen schuimen!
Spoel de waterkoker na de ontkalking 2 keer met zuiver water.
MILIEUBESCHERMING – RICHTLIJN 2012/19/EG
Om ons milieu en onze gezondheid te beschermen, moet afgedankte elektrische en
elektronische apparatuur in overeenstemming met welbepaalde regels weggegooid worden.
Dit vergt zowel de inzet van de leveranciers als van de gebruikers. Om deze reden mag uw
apparaat, zoals op het typeplaatje of op de verpakking aangegeven door het symbool ,
niet met het gewone huisvuil weggegooid worden. De gebruiker heeft het recht het toestel
gratis naar een gemeentelijk centrum van gescheiden inzameling te brengen waar het
overeenkomstig de richtlijn hergebruikt, gerecycleerd of voor andere doeleinden gebruikt zal
worden.

GARANTIEVOORWAARDEN
Voor onze producten gelden de wettelijke bepalingen wat betreft aanspraken op de
waarborg. Tijdens de wettelijke periode worden materiaal- of fabrieksfouten gedekt. Op de
waarborg kan geen aanspraak worden gemaakt voor breekbare onderdelen, of voor
defecten ten gevolge van gebruik voor verkeerde doeleinden of van slecht onderhoud, van
overmatige slijtage door intensief gebruik, of van foutief gebruik wegens de niet-naleving van
de gebruiksaanwijzing, of voor defecten ten gevolge van normale slijtage. Op de waarborg
kan ook geen aanspraak worden gemaakt indien het toestel gewijzigd werd of indien er
pogingen tot herstelling werden uitgevoerd. In dit geval kan de verkoper ook niet
aansprakelijk worden gehouden in geval van ongevallen.
Indien u een defect vaststelt, gelieve contact op te nemen met de verkoper of winkel waar u
het toestel gekocht hebt en overhandig het volledige toestel in zijn oorspronkelijke verpakking
samen met uw kasticket. Aanspraken op de garantie gelden enkel indien het kasticket of een
kopie van een eventuele herstelfactuur bijgesloten wordt.
Of stuur uw toestel gereinigd, goed verpakt en gefrankeerd met een korte, duidelijk leesbare
beschrijving van de defecten samen met het kasticket naar onze klantendienst in onze fabriek
in Bad Blankenburg.
Defecte accessoires leiden niet tot het omruilen van het toestel, maar worden gratis
vervangen. Gelieve in dit geval niet het toestel terug te sturen, maar enkel de defecte
accessoires. Gebroken glas kan mits betaling vervangen worden.
Accessoires die defect zijn wegens slijtage evenals reiniging, onderhoud of het vervangen van
onderdelen die aan slijtage onderhevig zijn, worden niet door de waarborg gedekt en moeten
dus betaald worden!
NA AFLOOP VAN DE WETTELIJKE GARANTIEPERIODE
Herstellingen na afloop van de garantieperiode kunnen mits betaling door bekwame
gekwalificeerde vaklui of herstellingsdiensten uitgevoerd worden.
ErP-verordening – EU-richtlijn 1275/2008
Wij, Efbe Elektrogeräte GmbH, bevestigen hierbij dat ons product voldoet aan de vereisten
van richtlijn 1275/2008/EU. Ons product beschikt niet over een stand-bystand (slaapstand),
want de waterkoker schakelt zich volledig uit onmiddellijk nadat het koken van het water is
beëindigd en verbruikt bijgevolg geen elektriciteit!
