2 Safety instructions
2.1 General safety
WARNING!
• Do not operate the device if it is visibly damaged.
!
• If this device's power cable is damaged, it must be replaced by the
manufacturer, customer service or a similarly qualified person in order
to prevent safety hazards.
• This device may only be repaired by qualified personnel. Improper
repairs can lead to considerable hazards.
• This device can be used by children aged 8 years or over, as well as by
persons with diminished physical, sensory or mental capacities or a
lack of experience and/or knowledge, providing they are supervised
or have been taught how to use the device safely and are aware of the
resulting risks.

• Cleaning and user maintenance must not be carried out by children
without supervision.
• Children must not play with the device.
• Children must be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the
device.
• Always keep and use the device out of the reach of children under the
age of 8 years.

flammable propellant in the device.

– before each cleaning and maintenance
– after every use
• Food may only be stored in its original packaging or in suitable
containers.
NOTICE!
• Check that the voltage specification on the type plate corresponds to
that of the energy supply.
• Only connect the device as follows:
– With the DC cable to a DC plug socket in the vehicle (e. g.
cigarette lighter)
– Or with the AC connection cable to the AC mains supply
• Never pull the plug out of the socket by the cable.
• If the cooler is connected to the DC socket: Disconnect the cooler and
other power consuming devices from the battery before connecting
the quick charging device.
• If the cooler is connected to the DC socket: Disconnect the cooler or
switch it off when you turn off the engine. Otherwise you may discharge the battery.
• The cooling device is not suitable for transporting caustic materials or
materials containing solvents.
• The cooling device contains inflammable cyclopentane in the
insulation. The gases in the insulation material require special disposal
procedures. Deliver the device at the end of its life-cycle to an appropriate recycling.

2.2 Operating the device safely
CAUTION!

A
• Before starting the device, ensure that the power supply line and the
plug are dry.
NOTICE!
• Do not use electrical devices inside the cooler unless they are
recommended by the manufacturer for the purpose.
• Do not place the device near naked flames or other heat sources
(heaters, direct sunlight, gas ovens etc.).
• Danger of overheating!
Ensure at all times that there is sufficient ventilation so that the heat that
arises during operation does not build up. Make sure that the device
is sufficiently far away from walls and other objects so that the air can
circulate.
• Ensure that the ventilation openings are not covered.
• Do not fill the inner container with ice or fluid.
• Never immerse the device in water.
• Protect the device and the cable against heat and moisture.

4Proper use
The cooling device is suitable for cooling and warming foodstuffs.
The cooling device is intended to be used in household and similar applications such
as
• staff kitchen areas in shops, offices and other working environments
• farm houses
• clients in hotels, motels and other residential type environments
• bed and breakfast type environments
• catering and similar non-retail applications
The device is also suitable for camping.
CAUTION! Health hazard!
!
Please check if the cooling capacity of the device is suitable for storing
the food you wish to cool.
5 Technical description
The coolbox is suitable for mobile use. You can cool products to a maximum of 25 °C
under the ambient temperature or warm them to a maximum of 65 °C.
Its cooling system is a non-wearing Peltier cooling, the heat is discharged by a fan.

NOTE
I
Before starting your new cooling device for the first time, you should
clean it inside and outside with a damp cloth for hygienic reasons
(please also refer to the chapter “Cleaning and care” on page 10).

6.1 Energy saving tips
• Choose a well ventilated installation location which is protected against direct
sunlight.
• Allow warm food to cool down first before placing it in the cooling device to
keep cool.
• Do not open the cooling device more often than necessary.
• Do not leave the cooling device open for longer than necessary.
6.2 Switching on the cool box
➤ Place the coolbox on a firm base.
NOTE
I
The plug’s polarity cannot be reversed: it can only be inserted into the
socket in one direction (fig. 2 A, page 3).
Connecting to 230 Vw
➤ Connect the 230 V connection cable to the power adapter.
➤ Plug the other end of the 230 V connection cable into the socket at the cool box.
➤ Connect the power adapter to a socket.
✓ The power adapter‘s LED glows green.
Connecting to 12 Vg
➤ Plug one end of the 12 V connection cable into the socket of the cool box.
➤ Connect the other end of the 12 V connection cable to the cigarette lighter in
your vehicle (fig. 3, page 3).
Switching on the cool box
➤ Push the switch on the operating panel (fig. 2 C, page 3) into
the “HEISS/HOT” position or the “KALT/COLD” position to switch the coolbox
on.
✓ The cool box starts cooling/heating the interior.

Switching between cooling and heating
➤ If you wish to switch between cooling and heating, push the switch on the
operating panel (fig. 2 C, page 3) into the “HEISS/HOT” or “KALT/COLD”
position.
✓ The red or green operating display lights up and the device begins
cooling/heating.
6.3 Switching on the cool box
➤ If you wish to end the cooling/heating process, push the switch on the operating
panel (fig. 2 C, page 3) into the “AUS/OFF” position.
➤ If you wish to switch off the device, pull out the connecting cable.
6.4 Connecting to a cigarette lighter
NOTE
I
If you connect the device to the cigarette lighter of your vehicle (fig. 3,
page 3), remember that the ignition must be turned on to supply the
device with power.

A
Always disconnect the device from the power supply before you clean
and service it.
NOTICE! Risk of damage
• Never clean the cooler under running water or in dish water.
• Do not use abrasive cleaning agents or hard objects during cleaning
as these can damage the cooler.
➤ Occasionally clean the device interior and exterior with a damp cloth.
➤ Make sure that the air inlet and outlet vents on the device are free of any dust and
dirt, so that heat can be released and the device is not damaged.

lighter socket, either the socket must be
cleaned or the plug has not been
assembled correctly.
Replace the connecting cable fuse (5 A).
Replace the vehicle cigarette lighter
fuse (usually 15 A). Please refer to the
operating manual of your vehicle.

es nicht in Betrieb nehmen.
• Wenn das Anschlusskabel dieses Kühlgerätes beschädigt wird, muss
es durch den Hersteller, seinen Kundendienst oder eine ähnlich
qualifizierte Person ersetzt werden, um Gefährdungen zu vermeiden.
• Reparaturen an diesem Kühlgerät dürfen nur von Fachkräften durchgeführt werden. Durch unsachgemäße Reparaturen können erhebliche Gefahren entstehen.

– mit dem Gleichstrom-Anschlusskabel an die Gleichstrom-Bord-
steckdose (z. B. Zigarettenanzünder) im Fahrzeug
– oder mit dem Wechselstrom-Anschlusskabel an das
Wechselstromnetz
• Ziehen Sie den Stecker nie am Anschlusskabel aus der Steckdose.
• Wenn das Kühlgerät an der Gleichstrom-Steckdose angeschlossen
ist: Klemmen Sie Ihr Kühlgerät und andere Verbraucher von der
Fahrzeugbatterie ab, bevor Sie ein Schnellladegerät anschließen.
• Wenn das Kühlgerät an der Gleichstrom-Steckdose angeschlossen
ist: Trennen Sie die Verbindung oder schalten Sie das Kühlgerät aus,
wenn Sie den Motor ausschalten. Sonst kann die Fahrzeugbatterie
entladen werden.

• Das Kühlgerät ist nicht geeignet für den Transport ätzender oder
lösungsmittelhaltiger Stoffe.
• Dieses Kühlgerät enthält in der Isolierung brennbares Zyklopentan.
Die Gase im Isolationsmaterial erfordern ein besonderes Entsorgungsverfahren. Führen Sie das Kühlgerät am Ende seiner Lebensdauer
einer ordnungsgemäßen Entsorgung zu.
2.2 Sicherheit beim Betrieb des Kühlgerätes
VORSICHT!

• Achten Sie vor der Inbetriebnahme darauf, dass Zuleitung und Stecker
trocken sind.
ACHTUNG!
• Benutzen Sie keine Elektrogeräte innerhalb des Kühlgerätes, außer
wenn diese Elektrogeräte vom Hersteller dafür empfohlen werden.
• Stellen Sie das Kühlgerät nicht in der Nähe von offenen Flammen oder
anderen Wärmequellen (Heizung, starke Sonneneinstrahlung, Gasöfen usw.) ab.
• Überhitzungsgefahr!
Achten Sie stets darauf, dass beim Betrieb entstehende Wärme ausreichend abgeführt werden kann. Sorgen Sie dafür, dass das Kühlgerät in ausreichendem Abstand zu Wänden oder Gegenständen
steht, sodass die Luft zirkulieren kann.
• Achten Sie darauf, dass die Lüftungsöffnungen nicht abgedeckt
werden.
• Füllen Sie keine Flüssigkeiten oder Eis in den Innenbehälter.
• Tauchen Sie das Kühlgerät nie in Wasser.
• Schützen Sie das Kühlgerät und die Kabel vor Hitze und Nässe.

Das Kühlgerät ist für den Hausgebrauch und ähnliche Anwendungsbereiche vorge-

• in der Landwirtschaft
• von Gästen in Hotels, Motels oder anderen Unterkünften

Das Gerät ist auch für Camping-Zwecke geeignet.

Prüfen Sie bitte, ob die Kühlleistung des Gerätes den Anforderungen
der Lebensmittel entspricht, die Sie kühlen wollen.
5 Technische Beschreibung
Die Kühlbox ist für den mobilen Einsatz geeignet. Sie kann Waren bis max. 25 °C
unter Umgebungstemperatur abkühlen bzw. kühl halten oder auf max. 65 °C
erwärmen bzw. warm halten.
Die Kühlung ist eine verschleißfreie Peltierkühlung mit Wärmeabfuhr durch einen
Lüfter.

6.1 Tipps zum Energiesparen
• Wählen Sie einen gut belüfteten und vor Sonnenstrahlen geschützten Einsatzort.
• Lassen Sie warme Speisen erst abkühlen, bevor Sie sie im Kühlgerät kühl halten.
• Öffnen Sie das Kühlgerät nicht häufiger als nötig.
• Lassen Sie das Kühlgerät nicht länger offen als nötig.
6.2 Kühlbox einschalten
Bevor Sie das neue Kühlgerät in Betrieb nehmen, sollten Sie es aus
hygienischen Gründen innen und außen mit einem feuchten Tuch
reinigen (siehe auch Kapitel „Reinigung und Pflege“ auf Seite 20).
➤ Stellen Sie die Kühlbox auf eine feste Unterlage.
HINWEIS

An 230 Vw anschließen
➤ Verbinden Sie das 230-V-Anschlusskabel mit dem Netzadapter.
➤ Stecken Sie die andere Seite des 230-V-Anschlusskabels in die Buchse an der
Kühlbox.
➤ Schließen Sie den Netzadapter an eine Steckdose an.
✓ Die LED am Netzadapter leuchtet grün.
An 12 Vg anschließen
➤ Stecken Sie eine Seite des 12-V-Anschlusskabels in die Buchse an der Kühlbox.
➤ Schließen Sie die andere Seite des 12-V-Anschlusskabels an den Zigaretten-
anzünder im Fahrzeug (Abb. 3, Seite 3) an.
Der Stecker ist verpolungssicher: Sie können ihn nur in einer Richtung in
die Buchse (Abb. 2 A, Seite 3) stecken.

Kühlbox einschalten
➤ Schieben Sie den Schalter am Bedienpanel (Abb. 2 C, Seite 3) in die Position
„HEISS/HOT“ bzw. „KALT/COLD“, um die Kühlbox einzuschalten.
✓ Die Kühlbox startet mit dem Kühlen bzw. Heizen des Innenraums:

Zwischen Kühlen und Heizen umschalten
➤ Wenn Sie zwischen Kühlen und Heizen umschalten möchten, schieben Sie den
Schalter am Bedienpanel (Abb. 2 C, Seite 3) in die Position „HEISS/HOT“
bzw. „KALT/COLD“.
✓ Die rote bzw. grüne Betriebsanzeige leuchtet, und das Gerät beginnt zu küh-
len/heizen.
6.3 Kühlbox ausschalten
➤ Wenn Sie den Kühl- bzw. Heizvorgang beenden möchten, schieben Sie den
Schalter am Bedienpanel (Abb. 2 C, Seite 3) in die Position „AUS/OFF“.
➤ Wenn Sie die Kühlbox außer Betrieb nehmen, ziehen Sie das Anschlusskabel ab.
6.4 An Zigarettenanzünder anschließen
HINWEIS

Wenn Sie die Kühlbox an den Zigarettenanzünder Ihres Fahrzeugs
anschließen (Abb. 3, Seite 3), beachten Sie, dass Sie ggf. die Zündung einschalten müssen, damit das Gerät mit Strom versorgt wird.

➤ Reinigen Sie das Kühlgerät innen und außen gelegentlich mit einem feuchten
Tuch.
➤ Stellen Sie sicher, dass die Be- und Entlüftungsöffnungen des Kühlgerätes frei
von Staub und Verunreinigungen sind, damit die beim Betrieb entstehende
Wärme abgeführt werden kann und das Kühlgerät keinen Schaden nimmt.

Zigarettanzünders reinigen, so dass der
mittlere Kontaktstift sauber ist. Wenn Ihr
Kühlboxstecker in der Zigarettenanzünderfassung sehr warm wird, muss
entweder die Fassung gereinigt werden,
oder der Stecker ist möglicherweise nicht
richtig zusammengebaut.
Tauschen Sie die Sicherung des
Anschlusskabels (5 A) aus.
Tauschen Sie die Fahrzeug-Sicherung des
Zigarettenanzünders (üblicherweise 15 A)
aus (Beachten Sie dazu die Betriebsanweisungen zu Ihrem KFZ).

solvants.
• Cette glacière contient du cyclopentane inflammable dans son
isolation. Les gaz contenus dans le matériau d'isolation exigent une
procédure de retraitement particulière. Une fois que vous ne l'utilisez
plus, recyclez l'appareil de manière conforme.
2.2 Consignes de sécurité concernant le fonctionnement
de l’appareil

• Avant de mettre l’appareil en service, assurez-vous que la ligne
d’alimentation électrique et la fiche sont sèches.

• N'utilisez aucun appareil électrique dans la glacière, sauf si ces
appareils sont recommandés par le fabricant pour cet usage.
• Ne placez pas l’appareil près de flammes ou d’autres sources de
chaleur (chauffage, rayons solaires, réchauds à gaz, etc.).
• Danger de surchauffe !
Veillez toujours à ce que la chaleur produite lors du fonctionnement
soit suffisamment dissipée. Veillez à ce que l'appareil se trouve à une
distance suffisante des murs ou des objets, de sorte que l'air puisse
circuler.
• Assurez-vous que les fentes d’aération ne sont pas recouvertes.
• Ne pas remplir le bac intérieur de substances liquides ou de glace.
• Ne plongez jamais l’appareil dans l’eau.

5 Description technique
La glacière a été conçue pour l'utilisationmobile. Elle peut réfrigérer des aliments
jusqu'à 25 °C au-dessous de la température ambiante soit maintenir à température
ou encore réchauffer/maintenir au chaud jusqu'à 65 °C.
Le refroidissement se fait par effet de Peltier sans usure avec dissipation de la chaleur
par un ventilateur.

6.1 Recommandations pour consommer moins
• Choisissez un emplacement bien aéré et à l'abri du soleil.
• Laissez refroidir les plats chauds avant de les déposer dans la glacière.
• Ne pas ouvrir la glacière plus souvent que nécessaire !
• Ne pas laisser le couvercle ou la porte ouverts plus longtemps que nécessaire !
Avant de mettre en service l’appareil, vous devez, pour des raisons
d’hygiène, le nettoyer à l’intérieur et à l’extérieur à l’aide d’un tissu
humide (voir aussi chapitre « Nettoyage et entretien », page 30).

6.2 Brancher la glacière
➤ Placez la glacière sur un support fixe.
REMARQUE

Raccorder sur 230 Vw
➤ Raccordez le câble de raccordement 230 V à l'adaptateur secteur.
➤ Raccordez l'autre extrémité du câble de raccordement 230 V dans la prise située
sur la glacière.
➤ Raccordez l'adaptateur secteur à une prise.
✓ La DEL de l'adaptateur secteur s'allume en vert.
Raccorder sur 12 Vg
La polarisation du connecteur ne peut pas être inversée :
vous ne pouvez le brancher dans la prise que dans un sens unique
(fig. 2 A, page 3).
➤ Raccordez une extrémité du câble de raccordement 12 V dans la prise située sur
la glacière.
➤ Raccordez l'autre extrémité du câble de raccordement 12 V à l'allume-cigares du
véhicule (fig. 3, page 3).

Mise en marche de la glacière
➤ Réglez le commutateur sur le panneau de commande (fig. 2 C, page 3) sur la
position « HEISS/HOT » (CHAUD) ou « KALT/COLD » (FROID) pour brancher la
glacière.
✓ La glacière commence par la réfrigération ou le réchauffement de la chambre
intérieure :

✓ Le témoin lumineux de fonctionnement rouge/vert est activé et l'appareil
commence à réfrigérer/chauffer.
6.3 Débrancher la glacière
➤ Si vous voulez mettre fin au processus de réfrigération/chauffage, réglez le
commutateur sur le panneau de commande (fig. 2 C, page 3) sur la position
« AUS/OFF » (DÉBRANCHÉ).
➤ Lorsque vous mettez la glacière hors service, débranchez le câble de
raccordement.
6.4 Raccorder à un allume-cigares
REMARQUE

Quand vous raccordez la glacière à l’allume-cigares de votre véhicule
(fig. 3, page 3), vous devez mettre l’allumage en marche pour que la
glacière soit alimentée en électricité.

➤ Nettoyez de temps à autre l’appareil à l’intérieur et à l’extérieur avec un chiffon
humide.
➤ Assurez-vous que les ouvertures d'aération et de ventilation de l'appareil ne sont
pas encombrées de saletés ou de poussières, pour que la chaleur générée par le
fonctionnement soit évacuée et que l'appareil ne soit pas endommagé.
Avant toute opération de nettoyage ou d'entretien de l'appareil, veillez
à le mettre hors secteur.
AVIS ! Risque d'endommagement !
• Ne nettoyez jamais la glacière à l’eau courante et ne la plongez pas
non plus dans l'eau.
• N'utilisez pour le nettoyage ni produits abrasifs ni objets durs qui
pourraient endommager la glacière.
