A1) ASSEMBLING TABLETOP MODELS
• Unscrew the guard lock nut (5) from the motor shaft (8).
• Thread the rear guard (6) onto the motor shaft (8) with the handle (7) facing upwards. Line up the holes in the centre of the guard with the pins projecting from the front of the motor housing.
• Fix the rear guard (6) by screwing the guard lock nut (5) up as far as it will go.
•After removing the thread guard from the motor shaft, thread the propeller (4) onto the motor shaft (8) and fix by screwing up the propeller cap (3) in an anticlockwise direction.
• Check propeller rotation by hand. Make sure there is no friction with the guard lock nut (5). The propeller should rotate freely. If this is not the case repeat the assembly operations from the beginning.
•Mount the front guard (1) onto the rear guard (6) by attaching it to the hook (fig.
1). Line up the two holes in the two guard surrounds (2) and fix with the safety screws and nut (16) (fig. 2). Lock the guards in place using the catches (17).
B1) ASSEMBLING FLOOR STANDING MODELS
• Remove the four screws from the base. Put together the bars A and B (fig. 3) with the feet facing downwards. Line up the four holes in the bars with those in the bottom tube and screw up the four screws tightly.
• Loosen the fixing screw (13), remove the height adjustment ring (15) and thread the finish ring (17) onto the outer tube (16), pushing down as far as it will go. Reposition the height adjustment ring (15), pull out the inner tube (14) until you reach the required height then block the height by tightening the ring (15) firmly.
• Thread the control box (12) onto the inner tube and tighten the fixing screw (13).
• For the subsequent assembly operations, follow the instructions given in the previous paragraph B in the same sequence.
C) OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS TABLETOP MODELS
After plugging into the mains socket, turn the fan on by pressing any of the buttons. Select the required speed by pressing the corresponding button. Turn the fan off using the "O" button. For oscillating operation, push the oscillating knob (9). For steady operation, extract the oscillating knob (9) by pulling upwards. To adjust the tilt of the fan, use the tilt adjustment (11) on the top of the base. This should be done with the fan off only.
C1) OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS FLOOR STANDING MODELS
MODEL WITHOUT REMOTE CONTROL
For operation, see paragraph C "Operating Instructions Tabletop Models".
MODELS WITH REMOTE CONTROL OPERATING FROM THE CONTROL PANEL (20)
After plugging into the mains socket, turn the fan on by pressing the "SPEED" button. The appliance comes on at medium speed "M" and after three seconds is set automatically to minimum speed "L". Each time you press the "SPEED" button, the speed of the fan is adjusted from minimum speed (L), through medium speed (M) to maximum speed (H). Turn the fan off using the "O" button.
USING THE TIMER
With the fan on, press the "TIME" button. Each time you press the "TIME" button, the required shut-down time can be set (1h/2h/4h/8h). Note: pressing the "O" button eliminates all shut-down programming previously set.
USING THE REMOTE CONTROL UNIT (22)
All the above functions can also be controlled from the remote control unit. When using the remote control unit, remember to point it towards the receiver (21).
