READ THIS BOOKLET CAREFULLY BEFORE USING THE APPLIANCE. THIS IS THE ONLY WAY TO ENSURE BEST RESULTS AND MAXIMUM SAFETY.
IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS
- After unpacking, make sure the appliance is complete and undamaged. If in doubt, do not use and con­sult a qualified electrician.
- The plastic bag containing the appliance must not be left within reach of children as it could represent a hazard.
- Before plugging the appliance into the mains electricity supply, make sure the mains voltage corre­sponds to the voltage indicated on the rating element.
- If the plug fitted to the appliance does not match the power socket, have the socket replaced with a sui­table type by a qualified professional.
- Never immerse the appliance in water.
- This appliance must be used exclusively for the purpose for which it was expressly conceived, namely as a domestic humidifier. Any other use is considered improper and thus dangerous. Improper, incor­rect or irresponsible use and/or repairs performed by unqualified personnel absolve the manufacturer from all liability for resulting damage.
- The inside of this appliance may become extremely hot. You should therefore take maximum care when using the appliance.
- Do not remove the tank or move the appliance while in operation. Always wait at least 15 minutes after turning off and unplugging from the mains.
- Never use the humidifier without water.
- Do not leave the appliance turned on unnecessarily as it could represent a hazard.
- Warning, hot steam: Never place the hands, face or body directly above or near the mist discharge grill while the appliance is in operation.
- Do not use direct current power supply.
- Place the appliance on a stable level surface. Never place it on carpet or rugs or on delicate furniture as they could be damaged by contact with water or mist.
- Do not place the humidifier near heat sources such as heaters, radiators etc. Position it near a power socket on an internal wall. For optimum operation, position the humidifier at least 10 cm from the wall. Make sure the mist discharged from the grill is not directed against the wall. This could cause damage, particularly to wallpaper.
- When the appliance is plugged into the mains, always respect the following fundamental safety rules:
- never touch the appliance with damp or wet hands;
- do not use the appliance with bare or damp feet;
- do not pull the power cable or appliance itself to unplug from the mains;
- keep the appliance out of reach of children;
- do not insert foreign bodies into the appliance;
- protect the appliance from atmospheric agents and do not use out of doors;
- do not obstruct the mist discharge grill.
- If the power cable is damaged, it must be replaced at once by a qualified professional authorised by the manufacturer only.
- If the appliance is to be disposed of definitively, after unplugging from the mains socket, you are re­commended to remove the power cable to make it unusable.
- Before cleaning or maintenance of any sort, always unplug the appliance from the mains socket.
- In the event of breakdown and/or malfunction, turn the appliance off. Do not attempt to repair it. For all repairs, contact authorised service centres only and insist on the use of original spare parts and acces­sories.
- Before use, always check that the power cable is undamaged.
- Excessive humidity in the room may lead to the formation of condensation on windows and furniture. If this occurs, turn the humidifier off ;
- Do not use the humidifier with humidity of more than 50%.
The manufacturer reserves the right to modify products at its discretion if considered appropriate for legal, industrial, commercial or aesthetic reasons.

BEFORE USE
Before use, make sure the appliance is not da­maged, dented etc. and that water does not leak from the casing. In the event of doubt, do not use. Have the ap­pliance checked by an authorised technical servi­ce centre. Make sure the power cable does not come into contact with hot parts of the appliance while in use. The heater must always be used on a horizontal surface. Do not rest on furniture, plate glass, car­pet or parquet.
IMPORTANT: do not turn the appliance upside down or move while in operation.
When the appliance contains water, move by holding it at the bottom only. Always unplug from the mains socket first. Before putting the appliance away, make sure it is cold. Do not pour alcoholic products or perfumes into the tank. Use normal tap water only. Do not aim the mist at people, objects or walls. Before filling the tank, empty any mineral residues or sludge present. Unplug from the socket before filling or emptying the tank.

USE
- Make sure the power cable is unplugged
from the socket and that the appliance is re­sting on a completely horizontal surface.
- Turn the heating unit clockwise as far as it
will go until the arrow on the heating unit li­nes up with the
O symbol on the tank (fig.
1).
- Remove the tank cap and use a jug (fig. 2) to
fill the tank with tap water (no distilled water) until the red on the water level indicator ap­pears (certain models only, fig. 3) or up to the maximum level in the water level window in other models (fig. 4). Do not add any mineral salts in the water. During the filling phase, take care not to pour water on the heating unit cover.
(IMPORTANT: NEVER FILL THE TANK OVER THE MAXIMUM LEVEL)
THE MAXIMUM LEVEL IS MEASURED WITH
THE HEATING UNIT IN PLACE
- If the cover of the heating unit (D) is damp, it is vital to dry it before plugging the appliance into the mains.
- Turn the heating unit anticlockwise as far as it will go. (The arrow on the heating unit should line up with the
I symbol on the
tank).
- Plug the appliance into the mains.
- To turn the appliance off, unplug from the mains socket, then turn the heating unit clockwise until the arrow lines up with the
O
symbol.
- In models with night light, when the applian­ce is on, the light also comes in.
- After a few minutes, mist is given off. The mist production time may vary accor­ding to the type of water.
- To adjust mist emission, turn the mist knob (
B) (fig.5).
IMPORTANT: WHEN THE APPLIANCE IS OPE­RATING, THE KNOB IS HOT!
- When the water reaches the minimum level, mist production stops and the appliance shuts down automatically.
A certain amount of water is always left on the bottom. This contains residues which must always be removed by completely emptying the tank before topping up again with water.
USING PERFUMED ESSENCES
To use perfumed essences, pour a few drops into the essence holder (fig. 6) (A).
Essences should never under any circumstan­ces be added to the water tank.
CLEANING
• Depending on the frequency the appliance is used and the quality of the water, mineral re­sidues form on the heating unit electrodes and boiler compartment.
• You are recommended to regenerate the
heating unit whenever mist emission dimi­nishes.
• To proceed with regeneration, unplug the ap­pliance from the socket and remove the hea­ting unit (D). Immerse the END ONLY for about 8 cm (fig. 7) in a solution of water and vinegar or a commercially available desca­ling solution and leave to work for about 10 hours. After this period, rinse the end sec­tion of the heating unit with water, taking ca­re not to wet the top part.
• Replace the heating unit as shown in figure
8.
• Before cleaning the appliance, always unplug from the socket.
• Never immerse the appliance in water.
• Clean the tank with a cloth or brush.
• To clean the heating unit, use a damp cloth
only and leave to dry thoroughly.
