Have the appliance checked by an authorised technical service centre. Make sure the power cable does not come into contact with hot parts of the appliance while in use. The appliance must be rested on a completely horizontally surface. Do not rest on furniture, plate glass, carpet or parquet.

DESCRIPTION
A) Heating unit B) Water tank C) Water level indicator D) Essence holder E) Nightlight (certain models only) F) Steam adjustment knob G) Power cable
TECHNICAL CHARACTERISTICS
For technical specification, see rating plate Steam duration – about 12 hours (depending
on the mineral salts in the water)
USE
- Make sure the power cable is unplugged from the socket and that the appliance is resting on a completely horizontal surface.
- To remove the heating unit, rotate anticlockwise until the two arrows line up (fig. 1) and lift. Allow the water in the unit to drain.
- Pour normal tap water into the tank. In some models fill until the symbol appears on the rod (fig. 2); in others, up to the MAX level in the indicator window (fig. 3). (IMPORTANT:
DO NOT FILL OVER THE INDICATED LEVEL)
- If the cover of the heating unit (A) is damp, dry before replacing in tank.
- Replace the heating unit (A) by inserting it (lining up the two arrows) and rotating anticlockwise until it stops (fig. 4).
- Plug the cable into the socket and rotate the heating unit clockwise until the arrow on the unit lines up with the I symbol. To turn the unit off, rotate the unit anticlockwise until the arrow lines up with the O symbol. In models with night light, when the unit is turned on, the light also comes on.
- After a few minutes, steam is given off. The steam production time may vary according to the type of water.
- To adjust steam emission, rotate the knob (F) (fig. 5).
IMPORTANT: WHEN THE APPLIANCE IS OPERATING, THE KNOB IS HOT.
- When the water reaches the minimum level, steam production stops and the appliance shuts down automatically.
A certain amount of water is always left on the bottom containing the residues. This must always be removed by completely emptying the tank before topping up again with water.
USING PERFUMED ESSENCES
To use perfumed essences, pour a few drops into the essence holder (D).
Essences should never under any circumstances be added to the water tank.
CLEANING
• Depending on the frequency the appliance is used and the quality of the water, mineral residues form on the heating unit electrodes and boiler compartment.
• You are recommended to regenerate the
heating unit whenever steam emission diminishes.
• To proceed with regeneration, unplug the power cable from the socket and remove the heating unit (A). Immerse the end 8 cm (fig.
6) in a solution of water and vinegar or a commercially available descaling solution and leave to work for about 10 hours. After this period, rinse the end section of the heating unit with water.
• Before cleaning the appliance, always unplug from the socket.
• Never immerse the appliance in water.
• Clean the tank with a cloth or brush.
• To clean the heating unit, use a damp cloth only and leave to dry thoroughly.
• When putting the appliance away, the cable can be wrapped around the handle.
