What is humidity?

Air always contains a certain amount of water in the form of vapour – this moisture is
known as humidity.

Humidity levels are most commonly measured as ‘relative humidity’ – that is the
percentage of moisture in the air versus how much moisture the air can hold. An
uncomfortable level of relative humidity occurs at over 60% and can have negative
effects in the home. Increased levels of relative humidity can cause mould and dust
mites, all of which can lead to increased allergies and respiratory discomfort.

How can a
Dehumidifier help?

Studies have shown that a comfortable
level of relative humidity is between 40% ­60%. A De’Longhi Dehumidifier removes
excess moisture from the air and will help
manage the relative humidity level within
the home.
