The newly designed 5550 is 6% smaller than the previous generation and is
the perfect balance of performance and elegance. With an amazing 92%
display to body ratio and the lightweight combination of aluminum and carbon
ber, it delivers the ultimate 15” mobile workstation platform for your creative
and design applications. Boasting up to an HDR400, 4-sided InnityEdge, 16:10
aspect ratio display, as well as diamond cut sidewalls and machined speaker
grills, it is both vibrant and visually stunning.
ADVANCED THERMAL DESIGN
Thermal technologies, some of which are Advanced, Dell patented thermal
technologies, are essential to the smaller designed systems which provide more
performance than the previous generation. Internal designs from dual fans and
dual heat pipes to hidden exhaust venting through the hinge, keep the system
