The SE-1000 is a compact, portable SDI switcher that does all processing in HD, accepts
either HD or SD and is supported by a family of collateral products, including monitors,
distribution amplifiers, tally lights and intercoms.
SE-1000
HD/SD Digital Video Switcher
SE-1000 Features
• Video Input and Output
- Live inputs: five HD-SDI or SD-SDI (not mixed)
- DVI input from PC at 1024x768 or 1280x1024
- Still frame memory (from live source or PC)
- SMPTE color bars
- Analog output: HD or SD component (one
program, one preview, one auxiliary)
- Digital output: HD or SD SDI (two program, one
preview, two auxiliary)
• Six monitor outputs (composite or component)
• Internal converters – may be assigned to create SD
composite monitor outputs or to convert outgoing
SDI to composite or component video.
• No genlock required – 10-bit frame synchronizers
built-in (external genlock input also included)
It’s a great switcher for small production companies, churches, vans and corporate
production departments. The SE-1000 supports live production with 5 video inputs, one
computer input and one still frame loaded via computer or via live capture and it has
three outputs. The switcher includes six built-in format converters that will let you see
your inputs on inexpensive SD monitors. The converters may also be used to change the
format of the output to analog composite or component. The SE-1000 KIT includes these
monitors and a holder.
Each input includes built-in frame syncs for flicker-free switching, which means no
external genlock is needed (but still available via reference input). The switcher also
per forms luminance keys for easy titling or logo insertion, and may b e used with a n exte rnal
character generator that has a downstream keyer (such as our CG-100).

SE-800
Q: Can I upgrade the SE-800AV to an SE-800DV?A: Yes, with the purchase of an SDI overlay card, four DV input and
one DV output board.
Q: I have 3 cameras from different manufacturers. Can I make
the flesh tones match from one camera to the next?
Q: Can I have one audio source for all four inputs, or can
each input have its own audio source?
FAQ
SE-800DV rear view
A: Yes, by using the SE-800’s built-in color processor on each input.
A: You can have either. Allowing each video input to have its own audio
source can be turned on by pressing the A+V button; switching to a
certain video input will also switch the audio. With the A+V button
off, only one audio source will be active.
