description/ordering information (continued)
The TL77xxA family of integrated-circuit supply-voltage supervisors is designed specifically for use as reset controllers in microcomputer and microprocessor systems. The supply-voltage supervisor monitors the supply for undervoltage conditions at the SENSE input. During power up, the RESET when V function activates a time delay , after which outputs RESET When an undervoltage condition occurs during normal operation, RESET
attains a value approaching 3.6 V . At this point (assuming that SENSE is above V
CC
and RESET go inactive (high and low, respectively).
and RESET go active. T o ensure that a complete reset occurs, the reset outputs remain active for a time delay after the voltage at the SENSE input exceeds the positive-going threshold value. The time delay is determined by the value of the external capacitor C
: td = 1.3 × 104 × CT, where CT is in farads (F) and td is in seconds (s).
T
During power down and when SENSE is below V
, the outputs remain active until VCC falls below 2 V . After
IT–
this, the outputs are undefined. An external capacitor (typically 0.1 µF) must be connected to REF to reduce the influence of fast transients in
the supply voltage.

Stresses beyond those listed under absolute maximum ratings may cause permanent damage to the device. These are stress ratings only, and functional operation of the device at these or any other conditions beyond those indicated under recommended operating conditions is not implied. Exposure to absolute-maximum-rated conditions for extended periods may affect device reliability.
NOTES: 1. All voltage values are with respect to GND.
2. For proper operation of the TL7702A, the voltage applied to the SENSE terminal should not exceed VCC – 1 V or 6 V, whichever is less.
3. Maximum power dissipation is a function of TJ(max), ambient temperature is PD = (TJ(max) – TA)/
4. The package thermal impedance is calculated in accordance with JESD 51-7.

Eco Plan - May not be currently available - please check http://www.ti.com/productcontent for the latest availability information and additional
product content details.
None: Not yet available Lead (Pb-Free). Pb-Free (RoHS): TI's terms "Lead-Free" or "Pb-Free" mean semiconductor products that are compatible with the current RoHS requirements
for all 6 substances, including the requirement that lead not exceed 0.1% by weight in homogeneous materials. Where designed to be soldered at high temperatures, TI Pb-Free products are suitable for use in specified lead-free processes. Green (RoHS & no Sb/Br): TI defines "Green" to mean "Pb-Free" and in addition, uses package materials that do not contain halogens, including bromine (Br) or antimony (Sb) above 0.1% of total product weight.
