Danfoss SW 228/328 Fact sheet

Fact sheet
SW 228/328
District heating substation for large properties
FEATURES AND BENEFITS
• Direct heating with mixing circuit and DHW heating based on the flow principle
• Domestic hot water recirculation
• Equipped with A-labelled low-energy pump
• Possibility of mounting of heat meter in district heating supply or return pipe
• Pipes and heat exchanger in stainless steel
• Minimized risk of lime scale and bacteria formation
• The substation is very service-friendly due to practical piping and assembly with nuts
and gaskets
Application
The SW 228/328 is made in a compact design and is especially suitable for supply of heating and domestic hot water for large pro-perties and apartment houses comprising 14-30 apartments. The SW 228/328 is available with Danfoss ECL 210 or 310 for control of both the heating circuit and the domestic hot water circuit. The substation is very suitable for one- and two pipe systems and is also applicable for systems with floor heating. The SW 228/328 variants offer capacities ranging from 35 to 165 kW heating and 40 to 200 kW domestic hot water. Please contact our sales department and together we shall find the optimum solution for your exact requirements.
Construction
The SW 228/328 is supplied with a brazed plate heat exchanger for domestic hot water heating, electronic actuators, shut-off valves, non-return and safety valve, pump, circulation pump, thermometers, strainers, sensor pockets as well as differential pressure controller. Actuators and pumps are electrically wired from factory and supplied with CEE plug for connection to 220 V. The electronic control ECL 310 is prepared for WebAccess, which enables remote control and remote monitoring via the internet/ intranet.
The substations are delivered preassem-bled, electrically wired internally and the electronic control is tested for function and preset from factory. The substation can be supplied with fitting piece for heat meter in the district heating supply and return pipe (to be specified when ordering).
Design
The SW 228/328 is designed for wall-mounting and during the construction much importance has been attached to a clear and user-friendly placement of all components. The SW 228/328 is built on a frame of galvanized iron and offers variable connection possibilities, as connection of pipes can be established both in the top or in the bottom (standard) of the substation. The SW 228/328 can be supplied with a white-lacquered steel cover with door, which enables easy access for meter reading and service purposes.
Domestic hot water recirculation
As standard the SW 228/328 is supplied with a low-energy pump for domestic hot water recirculation and can easily be connected to existing systems with DHW recirculation. Domestic hot water recirculation ensures that hot water is produced immediately, when tapping starts. This ensures the best possible DHW comfort og eliminates water wastage.
If the SW 228/328 is connected to a system without recirculation, internal circulation must be established to prevent calcification.
Heat exchanger for DHW heating
The heat exchanger used in the SW 228/328 is a brazed, highly efficient Danfoss plate heat exchanger, which has been tested and approved according to the PED-directive.
Meter reading and setting
The heat meter can be placed in the front part of the substation, easily readable. All thermometers are placed so they are easy to read. Components, which can be adjusted, are easily accessible.
Service og maintenance
The substation is very service-friendly due to practical piping and assembly with nuts and gaskets. It is mounted on the wall and as all pipes are placed in pipe bracket distance, it is possible to establish a nice piping.
