HM 322/328
Substation for apartment houses and small properties
Application
The HM 322/328 is an indirect substation
for district heating featuring high performance and simple operation. The HM
322/328 is made in a compact design and
is especially suitable for small properties
and apartment houses. - either just for
supply of heating (radiator and floor heating) or for supply of heating and domestic
hot water (radiator heating and domestic
hot water cylinder).
District heating (DH)
The substation is prefabricated with interconnecting components such as ball
valves, thermometers, manometers, sensor pockets, differential pressure controller, strainer and fitting pieces for mounting of heat meter in the district heating
return and supply line.
Heating (HE)
The heating side consists of a plate heat
exchanger, safety valves, manometer,
thermometers, non-return valves, air valve, circulation pump and mixing loop with
circulation pump.
The heating temperature is controlled by
an electronic temperature controller, Danfoss ECL, with an outdoor temperature
sensor, in combination with an electronic
actuator.
Mixing loop
The mixing loop provides a suitable temperature level e.g. for floor heating. A
3-way valve and an electrical actuator in
combination with the ECL controller control the mixing loop.
Domestic hot water (DHW)
The substation is supplied with connection pipes for DHW cylinder on the secondary side and the temperature in the
cylinder is controlled by the Danfoss ECL
controller.
Construction
The HM 322/328 is built on a frame of
galvanized iron and offers variable connection possibilities, as connection of
pipes can be established both in the
top or in the bottom of the substation.
All pipes are made of stainless steel.
The connections are made by nuts and
gaskets. The HM 322/328 can be delivered
with white-lacquered steel cover, with
door.
Dimensioning
The HM 322/328 is flexible and can be dimensioned according to various output
requirements and operational parameters.

Heat exchanger
The heat exchanger used in the HM
322/328 is a brazed, highly efficient Danfoss plate heat exchanger, which has been
tested and approved according to the
PED-directive.
Depending on substation’s application,
different heat exchangers dimensioned for central or floor heating can be
used.
