Denne installationsvejledning skal suppleres af installationsvejledningen for Danfoss varmekablet.

Danfoss varmekablet skal altid være i kontakt med aluminiumspladen eller aluminiumstape.

EFCI Dry må max. monteres med en arealeffekt på 100 Watt pr. m² og må kun monteres med Danfoss EFTPC-8/10 eller EFTEC-8/10 varmekabel.

Der må ikke benyttes skarpe og spidse genstande til montage af kablet.

Følg nationale regler og standarder på området.

Husk at købe et Danfoss varmekabel, en EFIT termostat og et EFCI Dry

montage sæt.

OBS!

Kablet må ikke lægges uden for pladerne, med mindre det er dækket af aluminiumstape.

Kablet skal tilsluttes af en autoriseret installatør.

Kablet må ikke krydse sig selv.

Beregning af forbrug

Mål rummet op og beregn antal kvadratmeter, en plade er 0,5 m². Hele rummet kan dækkes af EFCI Dry plader. Alternativt kan 13 mm gulvgips lægges i områder, hvor der ikke ønskes varme. Danfoss varmekabelet må ikke være længere end 5m x antallet af plader, der lægges.

Underlag

EFCI Dry lægges ud som en svømmende gulvkonstruktion og kan lægges på alle typer undergulve. Underlaget skal være rent, jævnt, fast og stabilt.

Forberedelse

Underlaget rengøres grundigt. Hvis det ikke allerede forefindes lægges en fugtspærre ud.

EFCI Dry pladerne lægges ud på gulvet, så pladerne dækker hele gulvet. Pladerne lægges i samme retning, tæt op af hinanden, med sporene ud for hinanden

Pladerne tilpasses nemt til alle rum størrelser, med en stiksav med aluminiumsklinge eller lignende. Skarpe kanter afgrates og rundes.

Pladerne låses til hinanden med de vedlagte låse

Termostaten kan frit placeres i rummet. Der hvor kablet kommer ud af væggen saves plads i pladen til kabelsamlingen og til gulvsensoren. Skarpe kanter afgrates og rundes, vær særlig opmærksom der hvor kablet ligger på en skåret kant.

Der lægges 1 stykke aluminiumstape mod gulvet og op over kanterne af pladen, der hvor samlingen på varmekablet er.

Kabel og rillerør monteres i væggen. Kablet skal sluttes til termostaten af en autoriseret installatør.

Kabel samlingen dækkes af endnu et lag aluminiumstape. Og følerhuset skrues eller limes mod gulvet og limes på rillerøret.

Kablet lægges ud over hele gulvet. Kablet må ikke ligge uden for pladerne. Kablet skal trykkes på plads i rillerne. Der må ikke slås eller hamres på kablet, da dette kan tage skade.

Når hele kablet er lagt saves hul i pladen til endeafslutningen. Pladen saves med en stiksav med aluminiumsklinge e.l. Og kanterne afrenses og rundes.

Derefter lægges endeafslutningen mellem to stykker aluminiumstape med kontakt til aluminiumspladen.

Når kablet er lagt og testet

(se vejledning for Danfoss varmekablet), lægges trindæmpning og trægulv.

Tilbehør

Der skal benyttes en EFIT termostat med gulvføler til styring af gulvvarmesystemet. Kablet må ikke tilsluttes uden termostatstyring. Termostaten skal stilles således at trægulvsoverfladen ikke overstiger 27oC

Husk at købe ét montage kit pr. termostat der skal monteres.

Danfoss Heating system er en komplet varme-løsning med Danfoss varmekabler eller EFTM/EFSM varmemåtter, EFCI Dry, EFET/EFIT termostater samt Danfoss EFCI Fast monteringslister. Skulle der mod forventning opstå et problem med Deres Danfoss Heating system, er vi hos Danfoss, med produktionsenheder i Danmark, og som leverandør indenfor den Europæiske Union, underlagt de alminde-lige regler om produktansvar som anført

i EUdirektiv 85/374/CEE samt alle på området gældende lovgivningsbestemmelser i de enkelte lande, hvilket forudsætter at:

Danfoss yder 10 års garanti på Danfoss varmekabler, EFCI Dry og EFTM/

EFSM varmemåtter og 2 års garanti mod materialefejl og produktionsfejl i forbindelse med alle øvrige Danfoss produkter.

Garantien gælder kun, såfremt omstående GARANTIBEVIS udfyldes korrekt og i henhold til instruktionerne og kun såfremt fejlen inspiceres af eller præsenteres for Danfoss eller en autoriseret Danfoss-forhandler. Danfoss forpligter sig til gratis at reparere eller levere en ny enhed til kunden. I tilfælde af fejlbehæftede EFET/EFIT termostater forbeholder Danfoss sig retten til at reparere enheden gratis og uden urimelige

forsinkelser for kunden.

Danfoss Garantien gælder kun for tilslutninger, der er foretaget af autoriserede el-installatører samt installationer der er udført i overensstemmelse med installations-vejled- ningen, og gælder ikke ved fejl, som skyldes andre leverandørers forkerte konstruktioner, misbrug, skade forårsaget af andre, eller ukorrekt installation eller sådanne andre følgeskader, som måtte opstå. Såfremt Danfoss anmodes om at inspicere eller reparere fejl, der er forårsaget af ovennævnte, faktureres arbejdet fuldt ud. Danfoss Garantien bortfalder i tilfælde af manglende betaling for udstyret. Danfoss vil til enhver tid reagere hurtigt, effektivt og ærligt på alle forespørgsler og rimelige krav fra vore kunder.

Ovenstående garanti vedrører produktansvar, mens der ved køberet henvises til national lovgivning.

General

Read the instructions carefully before commencing the installation.

These instructions must be supplemented by the installation instructions for the Danfoss heating cable.

The Danfoss heating cable must at all times be in contact with the aluminium plate or aluminium tape.

Observe the maximum area effect of 100 Watt/m² in EFCI Dry.

EFCI Dry must only be fitted with Danfoss EFTPC-8, EFTPC-10, EFTEC-8 or EFTEC-10 heating cable.

Do not use sharp or pointed objects while laying the cable.

Observe national regulations and standards for the area.

Remember to buy a Danfoss heating cable, a EFIT thermostat and a EFCI Dry mounting kit.

Note:

Do not lay the cable outside the plates, except where covered with aluminium tape.

Connection of the heating cable must be done by an authorised electrician.

The cable lines must not cross each other.

Calculating the required number of plates

Measure the room, and calculate the number of square metres. One plate is 0.5 m². The entire room can be covered by EFCI Dry. Alternatively, a 13-mm layer of plaster board can be laid in areas where heating is not required.

Make sure the length of the Danfoss heating cable is less than 5 meters x number of plates laid.

Subfloor

EFCI Dry is laid out as a floating floor structure and can be laid on all types of sub floors. The sub floor must be clean, level, firm and stable.

Preparation

Clean the subfloor thoroughly. Lay out a moisture barrier if one is not already present.

The EFCI dry plates should be laid out so as to cover the entire floor. Ensure the plates are laid in the same direction, and lay them closely together with the grooves aligned to each other.

The plates are easily adapted to any room size, e.g. by use of a jig saw with an aluminium blade. Sharp edges should be smoothed and rounded.

Use the enclosed locks to lock the plates together.

3 at each side and 2 at each end

The thermostat can be placed anywhere in the room. Where the cable exits the wall, use a jig saw to make room in the plate for the cold tail cable connector and the floor sensor. Smooth and round any sharp edges, and pay particular attention to places where the cable is resting on a cut edge.

Apply a piece of aluminium tape to the sub floor and the edges of the plate where the heating cable splice will be laid.

Install the cable and the flex pipe in the wall. The connection of the cable and the thermostat must be carried out by an authorised electrician.

Cover the cold tail cable connector with another layer of aluminium tape, and mount the sensor casing on the floor by either screws or glue and glue it in the end of the flex pipe.

Now lay the cable out over the entire floor. Do not lay the cable outside the plates.

Press the cable into the grooves. Do not try to hammer or beat the cable into place, it might cause damage to the cable.

When the entire cable has been laid out, a hole is cut in the plate to make room for the cable end. Saw the plate with e.g. a jig saw with an aluminium blade. Smooth and round any sharp edges. Subsequently, place the cable end between two pieces of aluminium tape with contact to the aluminium plate.

When the cable has been laid out and tested (see instructions for the Danfoss heating cable), lay out a step damping and the wooden flooring.

Accessories

It is strongly recommended to use a EFIT thermostat with a floor sensor to control the floor heating system. The cable must not be connected without thermostat control.

Set the thermostat to ensure the wooden floor surface does not exceed 27°C. Remember to buy one mounting kit per thermostat to be installed.

The Warranty

You have purchased a Danfoss Heating system, which we are certain will improve your comfort and economy. Danfoss provides complete heating solutions with Danfoss heating cables, EFIT thermostats, EFTM/EFSM heating mats, EFCI Dry heat distribution plates and Danfoss EFCI Fast fitting bands.

If, however, contrary to all expectations, a problem should occur with your heating system, we at Danfoss, with manufacturing sites in Denmark, are, as European Union suppliers, subject to general product liability rules, as stated in Directive 85/374/CEE, and all relevant national laws.

Danfoss provides a warranty for Danfoss heating cables, EFTM/EFSM heating mats and EFCI Dry for a 10 year period and all other Danfoss products for a 2 year period against defects in material and production.

The guarantee is granted on conditions that the WARRANTY CERTIFICATE on the overleaf is filled out properly in accordance to instructions and that the defect is inspected by, or presented to, an authorised Danfoss distributor.

The obligation of Danfoss will be to repair or supply a new unit, free of charge to the customer, whitout secondary charges linked to repair-

ing the unit. In case of defective EFIT thermostats, Danfoss reserves the right to repair the unit free of charge and without unreasonable delay to the customer.

No repairs will be accepted by Danfoss without prior concent from Danfoss.

The Danfoss warranty does not cover installations made by unauthorised electricians, or faults caused by incorrect designs supplied by others, misuse, damage caused by others, or incorrect installation or any subsequent damage, that may occur.

If Danfoss is required to inspect or repair any defects caused by any of the above, then all work will be fully chargeable.

The Danfoss warranty is void, if payment of the equipment is in default. At all times, we at Danfoss will respond honestly, efficiently and promptly to all queries and reasonable requests from our customers.
