RA to RA2000 Operator Adapter
RA to RA 2000:
In order to use current RA 2000 operators on existing systems with Danfoss RA valves, the
adapter 013G8070 must be installed to allow the new operator to fit onto the valve.
The older Danfoss RA valve is distinguished by the large silver threaded nut that connects the
operator to the valve.
There are two versions of RA operators:
a) Operator mounts directly on valve with remote bulb/sensor (not shown)
b) Separate remote mounted operator and remote bulb/sensor (shown at left)

1) Remove the existing RA operator (RA-33 shown) from the
valve by turning nut counter clockwise. Although the valve
should backseat, for safety, the system should be off.
2) Remove any existing gasket material from the face of the
threads.

Alternative option
013G8562, 013G8565, 013G8568: Single 6, 16,
or 26 ft. capillary, wall mounted dial with sensor

3) Assemble the adapter (with included gasket) to the valve as
shown in the diagram. The gasket should be placed between
the valve and the adapter. Tighten the nut sufficiently to
prevent leakage.

resistant operators
the Allen screw on
the operator must
be tightened to
secure to the valve.
Mounted operators 013G8564, 013G8562, 013G8565 and 013G8568 are factory configured for
use with an RA 2000 valve. Included with the 013G8070 adapter kit is a loose grey spring that
is required in the combination of these thermostatic operators and the RA adapter kit.
Installation of Grey Spring in Socket Body:
1) RA2000 Socket Body, 013G8564/ 013G8562/

Remove bellows holder from RA 2000 socket body
(Socket base has an Allen screw) by pushing the top
in and turning counter clockwise.
2) With a screwdriver and pushing from the opposite
side of the bellows holder, remove the spring from
the RA2000 socket body. The removed black spring
can be discarded.

3) Replace the removed black spring with the
provided grey spring within the adapter kit by
inserting it within the socket body. (The grey spring

4) Properly align the plastic holder to the socket
body and with the screwdriver push in the plastic
holder.
5) Reinstall the bellows holder by pushing all the
way down and turning clockwise.
6) Fully seat the RA2000 socket body onto the RA
adapter and tighten the socket body to the adapter
with the Allen screw.
