GROUNDING INSTRUCTIONS

This appliance is equipped with a cord having a grounding wire with a grounding plug. The plug must be plugged into an outlet that is properly installed and grounded.

Installation Instructions

FOR YOUR SAFETY

• While performing installations described in this section, gloves and goggles or safety glasses should be worn. Two people should be used when moving the cooler.

• Remove interior and exterior packaging prior to installation.

• Before connecting the appliance to a power source, let it stand upright for approximately 6 hours; this will reduce the possibility of a malfunction in the cooling system from handling during transportation.

• Place your cooler on a ﬂ oor that is strong enough to support it when it is fully loaded. To level your cooler, adjust the front leveling leg at the bottom of the unit.

• Locate the cooler away from direct sunlight and sources of heat (stove, heater, radiator, etc.). Direct sunlight and heat sources may increase electrical consumption. Extreme cold ambient temperatures may also cause the unit to perform improperly.

• Avoid locating the unit in moist areas.

• Plug the cooler into an exclusive, properly installed-grounded wall outlet. Do not under any circumstances cut or remove the third (ground) prong from the power cord. Any questions concerning power and/or grounding should be directed toward a certiﬁ ed electrician or an authorized service centre.

• Do not cover shelves with aluminum foil or any other material which may prevent air circulation.

• In order for the cabinet to remain efﬁ cient do not over load it.

• Do not open the door unless necessary.

• Should the cooler be stored without use for long periods, it is suggested, after careful cleaning, to leave the door ajar. This will allow air to circulate inside the cabinet in order to avoid possible formations of condensation, mold and odors.

Installation Instructions

LOCATION

Selecting the proper location will ensure peak performance levels for your appliance. Choose a location where the unit will not be exposed to heat emitting sources (e.g. a ﬁ replace or a barbeque). The cooler should not be exposed to direct sunlight. Do not use product near water, for example in a wet basement, near a swimming pool or sink. To achieve operating efﬁ ciency, the recommended (room ambient) operating temperatures should be between 16°C (61°F) to 32°C (90°F).

NOTE: This unit is front breathing. Do not block the front air vent. Blockage of the vent will result in high operating temperatures and system failure.

PREPARING THE ENCLOSURE

Tools you will need:

While performing installations described in this section, gloves and safety glasses or goggles should be worn.

Electrical Requirements:

The appliance must be connected to an individual, properly grounded electrical outlet, protected by a 15 or 20 ampere circuit breaker or time delay fuse.

• It is recommended that you do not install the unit into a corner (i.e. directly beside a wall). This is to allow the door to have a greater than 90° opening swing. A limited door swing may lead to damaging the door gasket, however, if it is necessary to install the unit in a corner, be sure to allow 2-4 inches of clearance at each side.

• The rough cabinet opening must be on a level ﬂ oor area and at least 24” (60.96 cm) deep by 24” (60.96 cm)wide (min). The opening should also have a height of at least 34 3/4” (88.26 cm).

• The electrical outlet may be positioned from within either side of the adjacent cabinetry, or the rear of the shaded area (as shown in Fig. 2).

• If the electrical outlet is located inside the adjacent cabinetry, cut a 1-1/2” (3.81 cm) diameter hole to admit the power cord. If the cabinet wall is metal, the hole edge must be covered with a bushing or grommet.

Important: The listed depth requirement for the installation is assuming that the electrical outlet is located in the adjacent cabinetry or is ﬂ ush mounted in the rear wall, not surface mounted in the enclosure.

CONTROL PANEL

Indicator light illuminates to signify the cooling mode is currently in operation.

Control the interior light ON/OFF. (If you press this button, the inner light is not controlled by the Mechanical Switch, it is continuously lit).

To turn appliance on/off (press and hold this button for approxi mately 3 seconds).

Used to raise (warm) the temperature by 1° increments.

Used to lower (cool) the temperature by 1° increments.

Adjacent indicator light denotes which scale of temperature is being displayed.

Setting the Temperature Controls

When you plug in your beverage centre for the ﬁ rst time the temperature will automatically be set to 12°C (54°F). The default setting is °F.

• Each depression of the ▲▲ or ▼▼ button will allow you to adjust the temperature in 1° increments.

• To switch the display between °F and °C, depress the ▲▲ and ▼▼simultaneously for approximately 3-5 seconds.

FUNCTION INSTRUCTION

Door Ajar Alarm Function

• If the door is not closed completely the alarm will sound after 5 minutes. Please close the door completely to avoid the loss of cold energy. The alarm will stop once the door is closed.

Temperature Memory Function

• If power is lost the set temperature will be saved by the unit. Once the power is back on the unit will return to the same set temperature.

T emperature Alarm Function

• If the inner temperature is higher than 23°C (73°F), “HI” is shown on the display panel and the alarm will sound after one hour. It is to inform you that the inner temperature is too high, please check the reason.

• If the inner temperature is lower than 0°C (32°F), “LO” is shown on the display panel and the alarm will sound and the malfunction indicator light will appear at the same time.

If too many bottles/cans are put in at once or the door has not been closed tightly, the unit will display the “HI” signal in the display panel. This is normal, please wait 5 minutes after you close the door and “HI” will disappear.

It is normal that the cabinet shows “HI” or “LO” from time to time. If it occurs frequently or lasts for a long time, you can restart the unit by unplugging it. If the problem occurs once again after restart, please contact customer service.

IMPORTANT

• The maximum* capacity of the unit is 48 (750ml) wine bottles.

• Store wine in sealed bottles only.

*When stocked as per instructions

In order to achieve the maximum storage capacity of forty-eight (48) bottles, it will be necessary to position 7 bottles each on the 6 shelves and 6 bottles on the bottom of the unit.

• The maximum* capacity of the unit is 6 (750ml) wine bottles and 138 (355ml) beverage cans.

In order to achieve the maximum storage capacity of six (6) bottles and 138 beverage cans, it will be necessary to put 46 cans on each of the 3 shelves and 6 bottles on the bottom of the unit.

Important: Do not cover the gap on the racks with aluminum foil or any other materi-

al that will prevent adequate air circulation within the cabinet.

To remove wine shelves:

1. Fully extend the shelf you wish to remove .

2. Lift the front of the shelf up.

3. Holding the shelf track, push the shelf in, then up to release from the rear dampers.

To remove shelves:

1. Lift the back of the shelf up so the shelf pegs are above the lower rail.

2. Slide the shelf out of the unit with the pegs on the upper rail.

1. Open the door to a 90° angle, take out 2 screws from the lower door axis (3), remove the door (refer to Fig. 1A), then pull out the door and door axis (Fig. 1A).

2. Put the door safely down, unscrew 2 screws (4) at the bottom and remove the machanical switch (5), then install (5) at the top of the door frame (Fig 1A and 1B).

3. Take out 3 screws (7) from the top hinge (right) (6) and remove the right top hinge (Fig. 1C).

4. Remove the plug (9) from the top left of the cabinet and install the spare top hinge (left) (8) at the top left of the cabinet with 3 screws (Fig. 1D).

5. According to the above procedure, install the spare lower hinge (left) (10) onto the lower left cabinet (Fig. 1E).

6. Once the door has been moved, install the door the same way that it was removed and ensure the door is properly aligned.

7. Block the hole at the top right of the cabinet with the spare plug.

Please note: Do not lay the unit on its back.

Care and Maintenance

CLEANING YOUR APPLIANCE

Cleaning the Inside:

• Walls, ﬂ oor, inside window and shelves - Some water deposits and dust can be removed with a dry paper towel,

others may require a damp cloth.

Cleaning the Outside:

• Outer Case - It is important to keep the area clean where the door seals against the cabinet. Clean this area with a

soapy cloth. Rinse with a damp cloth and let dry.

• Control Panel and Door - Wipe with a damp cloth and dry thoroughly. Do not use cleaning sprays, large amounts of soap and water, abrasive or sharp objects on the panel, they can damage it. Some paper towels may also scratch the control panel and glass on the door.

• Door Surface - Use only mild, non-abrasive detergents applied with a clean sponge or soft cloth. Rinse well with damp cloth.

NOTE: Do not use cleaners containing ammonia or alcohol on the cooler. Ammonia or alcohol can damage the appearance of the appliance.

NOTE: Never use any commercial / abrasive cleaners or sharp objects on any part of the cooler.

POWER FAILURE

• Most power failures are corrected within a few hours and should not affect the temperature of your appliance if you minimize the number of times the door is opened. If the power is going to be off for a longer period of time, you need to take the proper steps to protect your contents.

VACATION TIME

• Short vacations: Leave the cooler operating during vacations of less than three (3) weeks.

• Long vacations: If the appliance will not be used for several months, remove all items and turn off the appliance.

Clean and dry the interior thoroughly. To prevent odor and mold growth, leave the door open slightly, blocking it open if necessary.

ENERGY SAVING TIP

• The unit should be located in the coolest area of the room, away from heat producing appliances, and out of direct sunlight.

MOVING YOUR APPLIANCE

• Remove all items.

• Securely tape down all loose items (shelves) inside your appliance.

• Turn the adjustable leg up to the base to avoid damage.

• Tape the door shut.

• Be sure the appliance stays secure in the upright position during transportation. Also protect the outside of the appliance with a blanket or similar item.

POUR VOTRE SÉCURITÉ

• En faire les installations décrites dans cette section, des gants, les lunette de sécurité devraient être portés. Il faut deux personnes ou plus pour déplacer le refroidisseur.

• Retirez les emballages intérieur et extérieur avant l’installation.

• Avant de brancher l’appareil à une prise électrique, laissez-le debout pendant approximativement 6 heures; cela permet de réduire les risque d’un mauvais fonctionnement éventuel du circuit de refroidissement en raison de sa manutention pendant le transport.

• Placez votre l’appareil sur un sol sufﬁ samment solide pour le supporter lorsqu’il est plein. Pour mettre votre l’appareil de niveau, ajustez la patte de mise à niveau avant située au bas du l’appareil de qualité supérieure.

• Éloignez le refroidisseur des rayons directs du soleil et de toute source de chaleur (four, appareil de chauffage, radiateur, etc.). Les rayons directs du soleil et les sources de chaleur peuvent augmenter la consommation électrique. Les températures extrêmement basses peuvent provoquer un mauvais fonctionnement de l’appareil.

• Évitez d’installer l’appareil dans une zone humide.

• Branchez le refroidisseur à une prise murale correctement mise à la terre. Sous aucun prétexte, vous ne devez couper ou enlever la troisième branche (mise à la terre) de la ﬁ che du cordon électrique. Pour toute question relative à l’alimentation ou à la mise à la terre, faites appel à un électricien qualiﬁ é ou à un centre de service autorisé.

• Ne recouvrez pas les tablettes d’une feuille d’aluminium ou de tout autre matériau pour tablette qui pourrait empêcher la circulation de l’air.

• N’ouvrez la porte qu’en cas de besoin.

• Lorsque la tout refroidisseur est entreposée pour une longue période sans être utilisée, on recommande, après un nettoyage minutieux, de laisser la porte ouverte aﬁ n de faire circuler l’air à l’intérieur, de façon à éviter l’apparition de condensation, de moisissure ou d’odeurs.

• Ne pas couvrir les tablettes avec un papier d’alluminium ou tout autre matériel qui pourrait prévenir la circulation de l’air.

• Pour fonction maximale de l’appareil il est préférable de ne pas surcharger les tablettes.

ENDROIT

Le choix du bon emplacement permettra à votre appareil d’avoir un rendement maximal. Choisissez un endroit où l’appareil ne sera pas exposé à des sources de chaleur (p.ex., une cheminée ou un barbecue). N’utilisez pas ce produit près de l’eau, par exemple dans un sous-sol humide, près d’une piscine ou d’un évier. Aﬁ n d’obtenir un opérationnel optimal, les températures (ambiantes de la pièce) de fonctionnement recommandées devraient s’élever à entre 16°C (61°F) - 32°C (90°F).

REMARQUE : Cette unité est la respiration avant. Ne bloquez pas la bouche d’aération sur la face avant de l’appareil. Le blocage de la bouche d’aération se traduira par des températures de fonctionnement élevées et de

PRÉPARATION DU LA OUVERTURE

Conditons électriques :

L’appareil doit être raccordé à une prise individuelle correctement installée et mise à la terre, protégée par un disjoncteur ou un fusible temporisé de 15 ou 20 ampères.

• Nous vous recommandons de ne pas installer le refroidisseur dans un coin (c.-à-d. directement contre un mur). Cela aﬁ n que l’angle d’ouverture de porte limitée empêchera les étagères de sortir comme

• prévu, et peut endommager le ou les joints de la porte. Toutefois, s’il est nécessaire d’installer l’appareil dans un coin, assurez-vous de laisser 2-4 pouces d’espace de chaque côté.

• L’ouverture brute de l’enceinte doit être sur une surface de plancher plane et avoir au 63,5 cm (25 po) de profondeur par 60,96 cm (24 po) min. de largeur. L’ouverture doit également avoir une hauteur d’au moins 86,8 cm (34 9/16 po).

• La prise électrique peut être placée de l’intérieur sur l’un des côtés des armoires adjacentes ou à l’arrière dans la zone en gris (tel qu’illustré sur la ﬁ gure 2).

• Si la prise électrique se trouve dans l’armoire adjacente, percez un trou de 3,8 cm (1 1/2 po) de diamètre pour faire passer le cordon d’alimentation. Si la paroi de l’enceinte est métallique, le contour du trou doit être recouvert à l’aide d’un coussinet ou d’un passe câble.

Fonction d’alarme de rappel de porte ouverte

• Si vous oubliez de fermer la porte ou celle-ci n’est pas bien fermée, l’alarme retentit au bout de 5 minutes. Veuillez fermer complètement la porte et éviter que le froid s’échappe. L’alarme s’arrête une fois la porte est fermée.

Fonction de mémorisation de la température

• La température réglée est sauvegardée par l’appareil en cas de perte de courant; lorsque le courant revient, l’appareil revient à la même température.

Fonction d’alarme de température

• Lorsque la température intérieure est à plus de 23°C (73°F), on peut lire « HI » sur le panneau d’afﬁ chage, ou adve- nant cette situation, l’alarme se déclenchera après une heure. Lorsque la température intérieure est à moins de -2°C (28°F) dans le compartiment de la boisson ou 0°C (32°F) dans le compartiment du vin on peut lire « LO » sur le panneau d’afﬁ chage et l’alarme se déclenche. Pour de plus amples informations, veuillez consulter la guide de l’utilisateur en cas de problèmes.

Si trop de bouteilles de vin sont mises dans le refridisseur en même temps ou si la porte n’est pas bien fermée, il est possible que « HI » apparaisse sur l’afﬁ cheur. C’est un phénomène normal : attendez quelques minutes après avoir fermé la porte et « HI » disparaîtra.

Il est normale que le cabinet indique « HI » ou « LO » de temps à autre. Si cela se produit fréquemment ou dure longtemps, vous pouvez éteindre l’appareil, puis le rallumer, pour corriger la situation. Si le problème si reproduit après le redémarrage de l’appareil, veuillez communiquer avec le service après-vente pour obtenir de l’aide.

Pour retirer les clayettes à vin :

1. Étirer complètement la clayette que vous désirez retirer.

2. Soulever vers le haut la partie avant de la clayette.

3. Tout en maintenant le rebord de la clayette, pousser la clayette en place et puis vers le haut de manière à la libérer des clapets arrières.

1. Ouvrez la porte à 90 degrés, puis enlevez les 2 vis de l’axe inférieur de la porte (3) et enlevez la porte (Fig. 1A), maintenant, tirez sur la porte et l’axe de la porte (Fig.1A) pour les enlever.

2. Mettez la porte de côté soigneusement et enlevez les 2 vis (4) en bas. Enlevez l’interrupteur mécanique (5), puis réinstallez (5) en dessus du cadre de la porte.

3. Enlevez les 3 vis (7) de la charnière supérieure droite (6) et enlevez la charnière supérieure droite (Fig. 1C).

4. Enlevez le bouchon (9) du coin supérieur gauche de l’armoire et installez la charnière supérieure gauche supplémentaire dans le coin supérieur gauche de l’armoire au moyen des 3 vis (Fig. 1D).

5. En suivant la procédure décrite ci-dessus, installez la charnière inférieure gauche supplémentaire dans le coin inférieur gauche du cabinet (Fig. 1E).

6. Une fois que vous avez fait pivoter la porte de 180 degrés, installez-la dans la même direction que lorsqu’elle a été enlevée et alignez-la correctement.

7. Bloquez le trou sur le coin supérieur droit de l’armoire en utilisant le bouchon supplémentaire.

Remarque : Ne pas mettre l’unité sur son dos.

Soins et entretien

NETTOYAGE DE VOTRE APPAREIL

Comment nettoyer l’intérieur :

• Parois, plancher, intérieur de la visière et tablettes - Cetraines éclaboussures d’eau et poussières peuvent être

essuyées avec des essuie-tout. D’autres taches peuvent nécessiter un linge humide.

Comment nettoyer l’extérieur :

• Extérieur de l’armoire - Il est important de garder la région de scellement de la porte sur l’armoire propre. Nettoyez

avec un tissu savonneux, rincez le région et puis séchez.

• Panneau de commande et porte - Essuyez avec un chiffon humide. Asséchez bien avec un chiffon sec. N’utilisez

pas de nettoyants en aérosol, de grandes quantités d’eau et de savon, d’abrasifs ou d’objets acérés sur le panneau, ceci pourrait l’endommager. Certains essui-tout peuvent aussi égratigner le panneau de commande et verre de la porte.

• Surface du porte - N’utilisez que des détergents doux, non abrasifs, appliqués avec une éponge propre ou un chif-

fon doux. Rincez abondamment.

REMARQUE : N’utilisez pas de produits nettoyants comprenant de l’ammoniaque ou de l’alcool sur l’appareil. L’ammoniaque ou l’alcool peuvent altérer le ﬁ ni de l’appareil.

REMARQUE : N’utilisez jamais de nettoyant industriels sur aucune partie de votre appareil.

PANNE DE COURANT

• La plupart des pannes de courant ne durent que quelques heures et ne devraient pas modiﬁ er la température de votre l’appareil si vous réduisez au maximum le nombre de fois où la porte est ouverte. Si le courant reste coupé pendant une longue période. il faut prendre des mesures de protection du contenu de l’appareil.

DÉPLACEMENT DE VOTRE APPAREIL

• Tournez la patte réglable pour la relever dans la base et éviter tout dommage.
