This product is factory equipped with a power supply cord that has a three-pronged grounded plug. It must
be plugged into a mating grounding type receptacle in accordance with the National Electrical Code and
applicable local codes and ordinances. If the circuit does not have a grounding type receptacle, it is the
responsibility and obligation of the customer to exchange the existing receptacle in accordance with the

For your safety the information in this manual must be followed to minimize the risk of fi re or explosion or to prevent

Do not attempt to operate this oven with the door open since open-door operation can result in harmful exposure to
microwave energy. It is important not to defeat or tamper with the safety interlocks.
Do not place any object between the oven front face and the door, or allow soil or cleaner residue to accumulate on
sealing surfaces.
Do not operate the oven if it is damaged. It is particularly important that the oven door close properly and that there is
no damage to the:
1. door (bent),
2. hinges and latches (broken or loosened),
3. door seals and sealing surfaces.

1. Read all instructions before using the appliance.
2. Read and follow the specifi c “PRECAUTIONS TO

3. This appliance must be grounded. Connect only to
properly grounded outlet. See “GROUNDING INSTRUC-
TIONS” on page 6.
4. Install or locate this appliance only in accordance with
the provided installation instructions.
5. Some products such as whole eggs and sealed
containers -for example, closed glass jars- are able to
explode and should not be heated in this oven.
6. Use this appliance only for its intended use as described in this manual. Do not use corrosive chemicals or
vapors in this appliance. This type of oven is specifi cally
designed to heat, cook, or dry food. It is not designed for
industrial or laboratory use.
7. As with any appliance, close supervision is necessary
when used by children.
8. To reduce the risk of fi re in the oven cavity:
a. Do not overcook food. Carefully attend appliance
when paper, plastic, or other combustible materials
are placed inside the oven to facilitate cooking.
b. Remove wire twist-ties from paper or plastic bags
before placing bag in oven.
c. If materials inside the oven should ignite, keep
oven door closed, turn oven off, and disconnect the
power cord or shut off power at the fuse or circuit
breaker panel.
d. Do not use the cavity for storage purposes. Do not
leave paper products, cooking utensils or food in the
cavity when not in use.
9. Liquids, such as water, coffee, or tea are able to be
overheated beyond the boiling point without appearing to
be boiling due to the surface tension of the liquid. Visible bubbling or boiling when the container is removed
from the microwave oven is not always present. THIS
COULD RESULT IN VERY HOT LIQUIDS SUDDENLY
BOILING OVER WHEN A SPOON OR OTHER UTENSIL
IS INSERTED INTO THE LIQUID. To reduce the risk of
injury to persons:
a .Do not overheat the liquid.
b. Stir the liquid both before and halfway through
heating it.
c. Do not use straight-sided containers with narrow
necks.
d. After heating, allow the container to stand in the
microwave oven for a short time before removing the
container.
e. Use extreme care when inserting a spoon or other
utensil into the container.
10. Do not heat oil or fat for deep-frying. It is diffi cult to
control the temperature of oil in a microwave oven.
11. Pierce foods with heavy skins such as potatoes,
whole squash, apples and chestnuts before cooking.
12. The contents of feeding bottles and baby jars should
be stirred or shaken and the temperature should be
checked before serving in order to avoid burns.
13. Cooking utensils may become hot because of heat
transferred from the heated food. Oven mitts may be
needed to handle the utensil.
14. Do not cover or block any openings on the appliance.
15. Do not store or use this appliance outdoors. Do not
use this product near water, for example, near a kitchen
sink, in a wet basement, near a swimming pool, or similar locations.
16. Do not operate this appliance if it has a damaged
cord or a plug, if it is not working properly or if it has
been damaged or dropped.
17. Do not immerse the cord or plug in water. Keep the
cord away from heated surfaces. Do not let the cord
hang over the edge of a table or counter.
18. Use only thermometers, which are specifi cally de-
signed for use in microwave ovens.
19. Do not operate any heating or cooking applicance
beneath this appliance.
20. Be certain that the glass tray and roller rings are in
place when you operate the oven.

SAFETY FACT:

WATER
If you see arcing, press the “START/STOP” button and correct the problem. Arcing
is the microwave term for sparks in the oven.
Arcing is caused by:
• Metal or foil touching the side of the oven.
• Foil not molded to food (upturned edges act like antennae).
• Metal, such as twist-ties, poultry pins, or gold-rimmed dishes, in the microwave.
• Recycled paper towels containing small metal pieces being used in the microwave.
• Only cook popcorn in your microwave oven using a special microwave popcorn
accessory dish, unless you use popcorn labeled for use in microwave ovens.
• Some products- such as whole eggs (with shell), sealed containers, and closed
jars - will explode and should not be heated in this microwave oven. Heating these
products in the microwave oven could result in injury.
• Do not boil eggs in a microwave oven. Pressure will build up inside egg yolk and
will cause it to burst, possibly resulting in injury.
• Operating the microwave with no food inside may cause damage to the oven and
could start a fi re. It increases the heat around the magnetron and can shorten the
life of the oven.
• Foods with unbroken outer “skin” such as potatoes, hot dogs, sausages,
tomatoes, apples, chicken livers and other giblets, and egg yolks should be pierced
to allow steam to escape before cooking.
Microwaved water and other liquids do not always bubble when they reach the
boiling point; they can actually get superheated and not bubble at all. Superheated
liquid can bubble up when it is moved or when something like a spoon or tea bag is
put into it. To prevent this from happening and causing injury, do not heat any liquid
for more than 2 minutes per cup. After heating, let the cup stand in the microwave
for 30 seconds before moving it or putting anything into it.
• Avoid heating baby food in glass jars, even with the lid off. Make sure all infant
food is thoroughly cooked. Stir food to distribute the heat evenly. Be careful to
prevent scalding when warming formula. The container may feel cooler than the
milk really is. Always test the milk before feeding the baby.
• Spontaneous boiling- Under certain circumstances, liquids may start to boil during
or shortly after removal from the microwave oven. To prevent burns from splashing
liquid, we recommend the following:
Before removing the container from the oven, allow the container to stand in
the oven for 30 to 40 seconds. Do not boil liquids in narrow-necked containers such as soft drink bottles, wine fl asks and especially narrow-necked coffee
cups. Even if the container is opened, excessive steam can build up and cause
it to burst or overfl ow.
• Don’t defrost frozen beverages in narrow-necked bottles (especially carbon-
ated beverages). Even if the container is opened, pressure can build up.This can
cause the container to burst, possibly resulting in injury.
• Hot foods and steam can cause burns. Be careful when opening any containers of
hot food, including popcorn bags, cooking pouches and boxes. To prevent possible
injury, direct steam away from hands and face.
• Do not overcook potatoes. They could dehydrate and catch fi re, causing damage
to your oven.
• Cook meat and poultry thoroughly- meat to at least an INTERNAL temperature
of 160°F (71.1°C), and poultry to at least an INTERNAL temperature of 180°F
(82.2°C). Cooking to these temperatures usually protects against food
borne illness.

PERMISSIBLE MATERIALS
CAUTION: PERSONAL INJURY HAZARD
Tightly-closed containers could explode. Closed containers
should be opened and plastic pouches should be pierced
before cooking.
This section lists which utensils can be used in the microwave, which ones have limited use for short periods, and which
ones should not be used in the microwave.
RECOMMENDED
Microwave browning dish — Use to brown the exterior of small items such as steaks, chops, or pancakes. Follow the
directions provided with your browning dish.
Microwaveable plastic wrap — Use to retain steam. Leave a small opening for some steam to escape and avoid placing
it directly on the food.
Paper towels and napkins — Use for short-term heating and covering; these absorb excess moisture and prevent spat-
tering. Do not use recycled paper towels, which may contain metal and could ignite.
Glass and glass-ceramic bowls and dishes — Use for heating or cooking.
Paper plates and cups — Use for short-term heating at low temperatures. Do not use recycled paper, which may contain
metal and could ignite.
Wax paper — Use as a cover to prevent spattering.
Thermometers — Use only those labeled “Microwave Safe” and follow all directions. Check the food in several places.
Conventional thermometers may be used on microwave food once the food has been removed from the oven.
LIMITED USE
Aluminum foil — Use narrow strips of foil to prevent overcooking of exposed areas. Using too much foil can damage
your oven, so be careful. You should keep a distance of 1 inch (2.54cm) between the aluminum foil and the microwave
cavity.
Ceramic, porcelain, and stoneware— Use these if they are labeled “Microwave Safe”. If they are not labeled, test them
to make sure they can be used safely.
NOT RECOMMENDED
Glass jars and bottles — Regular glass is too thin to be used in a microwave. It can shatter and cause damage and
injury.
Paper bags — These are a fi re hazard, except for popcorn bags that are designed for microwave use.
Styrofoam plates and cups — These can melt and leave an unhealthy residue on food.
Plastic storage and food containers — Containers such as margarine tubs can melt in the microwave.
Metal utensils — These can damage your oven. Remove all metal before cooking.
Note:
Should you wish to check if a dish is safe for microwaving, place the empty dish in the oven and microwave on HIGH for
30 seconds. A dish which becomes very hot should not be used.

Improper grounding can result in electric shock. Do not plug
unit into an outlet until the appliance is properly grounded.
This appliance must be grounded. In the event of an electrical short circuit, grounding reduces the risk of electric shock by
providing an escape wire for the electric current. This appliance comes with a cord that is equipped with a grounding wire
and grounding plug. The plug must be plugged into an outlet that is properly installed and grounded.
Consult a qualifi ed electrician or serviceperson if the grounding instructions are not completely understood or if doubt
exists as to whether the appliance is properly grounded. If it is necessary to use an extension cord, use only a 3-wire extension cord that has a 3-pronged grounding plug, and a 3-slot receptacle that will accept the plug on the appliance. The
marked rating of the extension cord shall be equal to or greater than the electrical rating of the appliance.
A short power-supply cord is provided to reduce the risks resulting from becoming entangled in or tripping over a longer
cord.
Longer cord sets or extension cords are available and may be used if care is exercised in their use.
If a long cord set or extension cord is used:
1) The marked electrical rating of the cord set or extension cord should be at least as great as the electrical rating of the
appliance
2) The extension cord must be a grounding type 3 wire cord, and;
3) The cord should be arranged so that it will not drape over the countertop or tabletop where it could be pulled on by

INSTALLATION GUIDE
1. Make sure that all the packing materials are removed from the inside of the door or on cabinet surface. Do not remove
the light brown mica sheet that is attached to the oven cavity to protect the magnetron.
2. Check the oven for any damage, such as a misaligned or bent door, damaged door seals and sealing surface, broken
or loose door hinges and latches and dents inside the cavity or on the door. If there is any damage, do not operate the
oven but contact qualifi ed service personnel
3. This microwave oven must be placed on a fl at, stable surface to hold its weight and the heaviest food likely to be
cooked in the oven.
4. Do not place the oven where heat, moisture, or high humidity are generated, or near combustible materials.
5. For correct operation, the oven must have suffi cient airfl ow. Allow 30cm of space above the oven, 7.5cm at back and
7.5cm at both sides (see diagram.) Do not cover or block any openings on the appliance. Do not remove feet on which
oven stands.
6. Do not operate the oven without glass tray, roller support, and shaft in their proper positions.
7. Make sure that the power supply cord is undamaged and does not run under the oven or over any hot or sharp surface.
8. The socket must be readily accessible so that it can be easily unplugged in an emergency. The socket must have the
same voltage and frequency as the rating label of the appliance.
9. Place the microwave oven away from radios and tvs to avoid interference.

A. One-stage Cooking
1. Use the number pads to set a cooking time. You can set a cooking time from one
second to 99 minutes and 99 seconds.
2. If you want to set a power level other than 100% power, touch POWER, then use
the number pads to enter the power level.
3. Touch START/STOP to start cooking.
B. Two-stage Cooking:
Some recipes require different stages of cooking at different temperatures.
1. SET STAGE 1:
Follow steps 1 and 2 in “One-stage Cooking”. DO NOT TOUCH START/STOP
2. SET STAGE 2:
Touch COOK then enter proper cooking time and (lower) power level. Most two-
stage recipes use lower power for the second stage.
3. Touch ST AR T/ST OP.
NOTE:
• After total time has elapsed, 4 signals sound and END appears in the display.

SPEED DEFROST
1. Touch SPEED DEFROST.
2. Enter the desired defrosting time by touching the correct number pads (the maximum time is 99 minutes 99 seconds).
3. Touch START/STOP.
NOTE:
• During the defrosting program, the system will pause automatically and beep to remind users to turn meat over. After
turning, touch START/STOP to resume defrost.
• After setting Speed Defrost, the microwave can be programmed to automatically switch to one or two-stage cooking.
• For Speed Defrost and one-stage cooking, follow the steps above. Before touching START/STOP, touch COOK, and
enter the time and power level. Then touch START/STOP.
• For Speed Defrost and two-stage cooking, follow the steps above. Before touching START/STOP, touch COOK, and
enter two-stage cooking program. Then touch START/STOP.
COOK BY WEIGHT
1. Press COOK BY WEIGHT button.
2. Enter the one digit code by touching the corrent number pad. (TABLE 1)
3. Enter the weight using the number pad.
4. Press START/STOP.
NOTE:
• Meat must be defrosted and at the refrigerated temperature.
• Weight must be in pounds and ounces. Ounce weights less than 10 must be
preceded by a 0. If label gives weight in pounds only, change the fraction of a
pound to ounces using TABLE 2.
• During the cooking program, the system will pause automatically and beep to
remind users to turn meat over. After turning, press START/STOP to resume
cooking.
• Let roast stand a few minutes before carving.
DEFROST BY WEIGHT
1. Press DEFROST BY WEIGHT button.
2. Enter the weight using the number pad.
3. Press START/STOP.
NOTE:
• Weight must be in pounds and ounces. Ounce weights less than 10 must be
preceded by a 0. If label gives weight in pounds only, change the fraction of a
pound to ounces using TABLE 2. The maximum weight is 5lb. 16oz.
• During the defrost process, the system will pause automatically and beep to
remind users to turn the food over. After turning, press START/STOP to resume
cooking.

OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
SETTING THE CHILD LOCK
1. The safety lock prevents unsupervised operation by children.
2. To set, press and hold RESET for 3 seconds. The display will indicate LOCK.
3. To cancel, press and hold RESET for 3 seconds. LOCK will disappear from the display.
AUTO MENU
The AUTO MENU settings allow you to cook or reheat food without entering power level or time. For smaller portions,
simply press the applicable pad and START/STOP. For larger protions, push the pad twice.
FROZEN DINNER, BAKED POTATO, and BEVERAGE allow you to cook multiple amounts of the same food. Simply
touch pad once, and ENTER AMT appears in the display. Enter the amount of servings and press START/STOP.
POPCORN
1. Touch POPCORN pad once. The POPCORN
control automatically sets the correct COOK
time for a 3 1/2oz. bag of microwave popcorn.
2. Touch START/STOP.
NOTE:
To change the preset POPCORN time, touch POP-
CORN button twice. ENTER TIME appears in the
display. Touch the number pads to enter minutes
and seconds, then touch START/STOP. This new
cooking time will remain whenever you use the
POPCORN setting, unless it is reset, or in case of a
power outage.
BAKED POTATO
For 4 to 6 oz. potatoes:
1. Touch BAKED POTATO once.
2. Enter the number of potatoes using the number
buttons from 1 to 4.
3. Touch START/STOP.
For large 8 to 10 oz. potatoes:
BEVERAGE
For a 5 to 7 oz. cup:
1. Touch BEVERAGE once.
2. Enter the number of cups using the number buttons from
1 to 4.
3. Touch START/STOP.
For larger 9 to 11 oz. cups:
1. Touch BEVERAGE twice.
2. Enter the number of cups using the number buttons from
1 to 4.
3. Touch START/STOP.
FROZEN DINNER
For one or two small frozen dinners (7 - 9 oz.):
1. Touch FROZEN DINNER once.
2. For one entree, touch the number pad “1”. For

Heating a whole frozen pizza:
1. Touch PIZZA twice.

COOKING TECHNIQUES
Your microwave makes cooking easier than conventional cooking, provided you keep these considerations in mind:
STIRRING -Stir foods such as casseroles and vegetables while cooking to distribute heat evenly. Food at the outside
of the dish absorbs more energy and heats more quickly, so stir from the outside to the centre. The oven will turn off when
you open the door to stir your food.
ARRANGEMENT - Arrange unevenly shaped foods, such as chicken pieces or chops, with the thicker, meatier parts
toward the outside of the turntable where they receive more microwave energy. To prevent overcooking, place delicate
areas, such as asparagus tips, toward the centre of the turntable.
SHIELDING - Shield food with narrow strips of aluminum foil to prevent overcooking. Areas that need shielding include
poultry wing tips, the ends of poultry legs, and corners of square baking dishes. Use only small amounts of aluminum foil.
Larger amounts can damage your oven.
TURNING - Turn foods over midway through cooking to expose all parts to microwave energy. This is especially impor-
tant with large foods such as roasts.
STANDING- Foods cooked in the microwave build up internal heat and continue to cook for a few minutes after heating
stops. Let foods stand to complete cooking, especially foods such as cakes and whole vegetables. Roasts need this time
to complete cooking in the centre without overcooking the outer areas. All liquids, such as soup or hot chocolate, should
be shaken or stirred when cooking is complete. Let liquids stand a moment before serving. When heating baby food, stir
well at removal and test the temperature before serving.
ADDING MOISTURE - Microwave energy is attracted to water molecules. Food that is uneven in moisture content
should be covered or allowed to stand so that the heat disperses evenly. Add a small amount of water to dry food to help it
cook.

CARE AND MAINTENANCE
1) Turn off the oven and remove the power plug from the wall socket before cleaning.
2) Keep the inside of the oven clean. When food splatters or spilled liquids adhere to oven walls,wipe with a damp cloth.
Mild detergent may be used if the oven gets very dirty. Avoid the use of spray and other harsh cleaners as they may
stain, streak or dull the door surface.
3) The outside surfaces should be cleaned with a damp cloth. To prevent damage to the operating parts inside the oven,
water should not be allowed to seep into the ventilation openings.
4) Wipe the window on both sides with a damp cloth to remove any spills or spatters.
5) Do not allow the control panel to become wet. Clean with a soft, damp cloth. When cleaning the control panel, leave
oven door open to prevent oven from accidentally turning on.
6) If steam accumulates inside or around the outside of the oven door, wipe with a soft cloth. This may occur when the
microwave oven is operated under high humidity conditions; this is normal.
7) It is occasionally necessary to remove the glass tray for cleaning. Wash the tray in warm soapy water or in a
dishwasher.
8) The roller ring and oven fl oor should be cleaned regularly to avoid excessive noise. Simply wipe the bottom surface
of the oven with mild detergent. The roller ring may be washed in mild soapy water or dishwasher. When removing the
roller ring from cavity fl oor for cleaning, be sure to replace in the proper position.
9) Remove odors from your oven by combining a cup of water with the juice and skin of one lemon in a deep bowl, mi-
crowave for 5 minutes. Wipe thoroughly and dry with a soft cloth.
10) When it becomes necessary to replace the oven light, please consult a dealer to have it replaced.
11) When cleaning the surface of the door or oven, use only mild non abrasive soaps or detergents applied with a
sponge or soft cloth.
12. Please do not dispose of this appliance in a domestic trash bin; it should be disposed of at the appropriate disposal
centre provided by the municipalities.
