GROUNDING INSTRUCTIONS
This appliance is equipped with a cord having a grounding wire with a grounding plug. The plug must be plugged into an outlet that is properly installed and grounded. WARNING - Improper use of the grounding plug can result in a risk of electric shock. Consult a quali­ ed electrician or service agent if the grounding instructions are not completely understood, or if doubt exists as to whether the appliance is properly grounded. DO NOT USE AN EXTENSION CORD Use an exclusive 115V wall outlet. Do not connect your refrigerator to extension cords or together with another appliance in the same wall outlet. Do not splice the cord.

Please ensure that component parts shall be replaced with like components and that
servicing shall be done by factory authorized service personnel, so as to minimize the
risk of possible ignition due to incorrect parts or improper service.
This appliance must be grounded. In the event of an electrical short circuit, grounding
reduces the risk of electrical shock by providing an escape wire for the electrical current.
ELECTRICAL REQUIREMENTS
Due to possible variations in line voltage caused by overloading of circuits, it is advisable to install a dedicated circuit from the meter panel. This will help eliminate current fl uctuation which might cause motor trouble. The serial rating plate indicates the voltage and frequency the unit is designed for.
IMPORTANT WARNING
An empty refrigerator or freezer is a very dangerous attraction to children. Remove either the gasket or door from unused appliances, or take some other action that will guarantee it harmless.
DANGER: Risk of child entrapment. Before you throw away your old refrigerator or freezer:
Take off doors.
Leave the shelves in place so that children may not easily climb in.

Risk of fi re or explosion due to puncturing of refrigerant tubing. Do not use sharp objects to aid in defrost. Please handle with care. Keep fl ammable materials and vapors such as gasoline away from the refrigerator. Use nonfl ammable cleaner.
Disposal of this unit should be in accordance with federal and local regulations.
This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) whose physical, sensory or mental capabilities may be different or reduced, or who lack experience or knowledge, unless such persons receive supervision or training to operate the appliance by a person responsible for their safety.
Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.
Do not use extension cords or ungrounded (two prongs) adapters.
If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent or similar qualifi ed person in order to avoid hazard.

This unit is not designed for outside installation, including installation anywhere that is not tem­perature controlled (including garages, porches, carports, etc.).
Before connecting the appliance to an electrical power supply, let it stand 6 hours. This will reduce the possibility of malfunctions in the cooling system due to transport handling.
The refrigerator system of the appliance is fi lled with refrigerant and insulating substances which should be separately treated and processed. Call your nearest authorized service agent or spe­cialized servicing centre. If you are unable to locate one, contact your local authorities or your distributor. Be careful not to damage any tubes that may be on the rear wall of the appliance.

LOCATION
Select a place with a strong, level fl oor.
Allow at least 12.7 cms (5 inches) of clearance between the back, sides and any adjacent wall.
Allow at least 76 - 89 cm (30-35 inches) of clearance between the freezer lid and ceiling.
Avoid placing the unit in a narrow recess or near any heat source, direct sunlight or moisture.
Select a location with reasonable year round temperatures. It is not recommended to operate the unit when the surrounding temperature is below 0°C (32°F).
Place the appliance fi rmly on a solid base. Some appliances have adjustable feet on the front side; use them to level the appliance (some models only).
NOTE: This appliance is intended for FREE-STANDING INSTALLATION ONLY and is NOT in­tended to be built-in. This appliance is approved for INDOOR USE ONLY and is NOT intended for outdoor operation.
Operating Instructions
STARTING THE FREEZER
The freezer is ready to operate as received when connected to the power supply. After plugging the unit in for the fi rst time, set the desired temperature and allow the unit to run empty for at least 2 hours so that the unit can reach operating temperature. Once the set temperature is reached, the compressor will cycle on and off when necessary to maintain the set temperature.
Recommended food storage temperature is -18°C (0°F). It is not advisable to add more than 25 kg (50 lbs.) of unfrozen food to the unit at once. It will take
more than 15 hours of running time to properly freeze this amount of food. When adding fresh, unfrozen food packages to the unit, store them against the walls. The tempera-
ture sensor for the thermostat is inside the liner wall and will read a more accurate temperature. It is recommended to check the contents and operation of the unit regularly to avoid food loss.

TEMPERATURE CONTROL
Setting Temperature:
Press the temperature setting key to set or adjust the temperature.
Temperature can be set between -14°C to -24°C (7°F to -11°F).
Recommended temperature setting is -18°C (0°F).
Setting Fast Freeze Function:
The Fast Freeze function allows the unit to run at very low temperature (-24°C ~ -26°C) for 24 hours before reverting to previous settings.
To activate the Fast Freeze function, press and hold the Fast Freeze button for 3 seconds and the adjacent LED indicator light will illuminate.
To cancel the Fast Freeze function, press the Fast Freeze button or the temperature setting button and the adjacent LED indicator light will turn off.
Switching Between °C and °F:
To switch between °C and °F, press the °C/°F key and the corresponding indicator light will illuminate.
DEFROSTING YOUR APPLIANCE
For proper defrosting and cleaning, the following method is recommended:
1. Unplug freezer.
2. Quickly remove all frozen food and store in baskets, cartons or other suit­able containers. Keep food well covered with blankets to avoid excessive temperature rise.
3. Remove the drain plug from the freezer, place a tray under the plug and rotate the drain dial 180 degrees, this will allow the water to drain out of the freezer compartment.
4. Wipe the interior of the freezer, replace the drain plug and resume freezer operation as normal.

VACATION
For short vacation periods, leave the unit at its regular setting. During longer absences:
1. Remove all foods.
2. Disconnect the power cord from the electrical outlet.
3. Defrost and clean the freezer thoroughly.
4. Leave the lid open to avoid possible formations of condensation, mold or odors.
MOVING
Remove or securely fasten down all loose items inside the unit. To avoid damaging the levelling legs, turn them all the way into the base.
If it is necessary to transport the unit on its back or side, ensure that the unit is allowed to remain up­right and undisturbed for a minimum of 4 hours to allow the coolant to settle.
