3. Cleaning

Unpl ug the TV from the wall o utlet before cl eaning. Do no t use liquid, a brasive, or aero sol cleaners. C leaners can p ermanentl y damage the cabi net and scree n. Use a ligh tly dampened cl oth for clean ing.

4. Attachments and Equipment

Neve r add any attachm ent and/or eq uipment wit hout approval o f the manufac turer as such a dditions may re sult in the risk of f ire, electr ic shock or oth er personal inj ure.

5. Water and Moisture

The ap paratus shall n ot be exposed t o dripping of s plashing and th at no objects f ill with l iquids, such as v ases, shall b e placed on the a pparatus.

6. Setting

Do not p lace this TV on an unst able cart, stan d or table. Pla cing the TV on an unst able base can cau se the TV to fall, resu lting in seri ous persona l injuries as wel l as dam age to the TV. Use only a c art, stand, b racket or tab le recommende d by the

8. Power Source

This TV shou ld be operate d only from the typ e of power sour ce indicate d on the marking la bel. If you are no t sure of the type of p ower suppli ed to your home , consult your ap pliance dea ler or local po wer comp any.

9. Grounding or Polarization

This TV is equ ipped with a po larized alter nating curr ent line plug a p lug having one bl ade wider than t he other). This plu g will fit into the p ower outlet o nly one way. Th is is a safety fe ature. If you are un able to insert th e plug fully in to the outlet , try reversing t he plug. If the p lug should stil l fail to fit, c ontact your ele ctrician to r eplace your o bsolete outle t. Do not defea t the safety purp ose of the pola rized plug. A war ning that an appa ratus with CL ASSⅠconstruct ion shall be co nnected to a MAIN S socket outlet w ith a protect ive earthin g connection.

10. Power-Cord Protection

Powe r- supply cords s hould be rout ed so that they a re not likely to be w alked on or pin ched by items plac ed upon or agains t them, payin g particula r attention to co rds at plug, wa ll outlets, a nd the point wher e they exit from th e TV. MAIN plug is us ed as the disco nnect device, t he disconne ct device sha ll rema in readily oper able.

For ad ded protectio n for this TV during a li ghtning sto rm, or when it is l eft unattende d and unused for lo ng periods of tim e, unplug it fr om the wall out let and disconn ect the anten na or cable sys tem. This w ill prevent dam age to the TV due to ligh tning and pow er-line sur ge.

12.Power Lines

An out side antenna sy stem should n ot be located i n the vicinity of o verhead pow er lines or oth er elec tric light or pow er circuits , or where it can f all into such pow er lines or cir cuits. 15.Outdoor Antenna Grounding

If an ou tside antenna o r cable syste m is connecte d to the TV, be sure t he antenna or cab le system is gr ounded so as to p rovide some p rotection aga inst voltag e surges and bu ilt-up static char ges. Section 81 0 of the Nation al Electric C ode, ANSI/NFPA No. 70 -1984,provi des informa tion with res pect to proper grou nding of the mast a nd supporti ng structur e, grounding of t he lead i n wire to an antenn a discharge u nit, connec tion to groundi ng elec trodes, and req uirements f or the ground ing electrode .

16.Servicing

Do not a ttempt to servi ce this TV yourself a s opening or re moving covers m ay expose you t o dang erous voltage o r other hazar ds. Refer all s ervicing to qua lified serv ice personn el.

17.Damage Requiring Service

Unpl ug the TV from the wall o utlet and refer s ervicing to q ualified se rvice personn el under the foll owing conditi ons: (a) Wh en the power - supp ly cord or plug i s damaged. (b) If l iquid has been sp illed, or obj ects have fal len into the TV. (c) If t he TV ha s been expose d to rain or water. (d) If t he TV do es not operat e normally by fol lowing the op erating ins tructions. Adj ust only thos e cont rols that are cov ered by the ope rating inst ructions as an im proper adju stment of other cont rols may result i n damage and wi ll often requ ire extensive w ork by a qualif ied technic ian to rest ore the TV to its normal op eration. (e) If t he TV ha s been droppe d or the cabinet ha s been damage d. (f) Wh en the TV exhibits a di stinct change i n performan ce - the indica te s a need for serv ice.

18.Replacement Parts

When r eplacement pa rts are requi red, be sure th e service techn ician has use d replaceme nt parts spec ified by the manu facturer or h ave the same ch aracteristi cs as the origi nal part. Una uthorized subs titutions may r esult in fire , electric sh ock or other haza rds.

19.Safety Check

Upon c ompletion of an y service or re pair to the TV, ask t he service tech nician to per form safety chec ks to determine t hat the TV is in safe ope rating cond ition.

20.Heat

The pr oduct should be s ituated awa y from heat sou rces such as radi ators, heat regi sters, stoves , or other prod ucts (inclu ding amplifie rs) that prod uct heat.
