1. IMPORTANT SAFETY INFORMATION

•• Never point the airgun at any person or at anything you do not intend to shoot.

•• Always treat the airgun as though it is loaded and with the same respect you would a firearm.

•• Always aim in a SAFE DIRECTION. Always keep the muzzle of the airgun pointed in a SAFE DIRECTION.

•• Always keep the airgun “ON SAFE” until you are ready to shoot.

•• Always check to see if the airgun is “ON SAFE” and unloaded when getting it from another person or from storage.

•• Always keep your finger off the trigger and out of the trigger guard until ready to shoot.

•• You and others with you should always wear shooting glasses to protect your eyes.

•• If your reading or prescription glasses are not safety glasses make sure you wear shooting glasses over your regular glasses.

•• Use the proper size BB (.177 cal) only in your airgun.

•• Never reuse ammunition.t

•• Do not shoot at hard surfaces or at the surface of water. The BB may bounce off or ricochet and hit someone or something you had not intended to hit.

•• Place the backstop in a location that will be safe should the backstop fail.

•• Your backstop should be checked for wear before and after each use. All backstops are subject to wear and will eventually fail. Replace your backstop if the surface is worn or damaged or if a ricochet occurs.

•• Do not attempt to disassemble or tamper with your airgun. Use an Authorized Service Station. Using unauthorized repair centers or modifying the function of your airgun in any way may be unsafe and will void your warranty.

•• Before you store your airgun, make sure it is unloaded, not charged, and the airgun is “ON SAFE.”

KEEP THE AIRGUN IN THE “ON SAFE” POSITION UNTIL YOU ARE ACTUALLY READY

TO SHOOT.

3. Operating the Safety

A. To Put the Airgun “ON SAFE”:

Locate the safety directly in back of the trigger.

Push the safety from the left side all the way in (Fig. 2). The safety is not “ON SAFE” unless it is pushed all the way in and the RED ring around the safety is NOT showing.

Like all mechanical devices, an airgun safety can fail. Even when the safety is “ON SAFE”, you should continue to handle the airgun safely.		Fig. 2
NEVER point the airgun at any person. NEVER point the air gun at anything you do not intend to shoot.
B. To Take the Airgun “OFF SAFE”:
•• Push the safety from the right side all the way in.
•• When you can see the RED ring around the left side of the safety, the airgun is “OFF SAFE”
and can be fired.
4. Loading and Unloading BBs
A. Loading BBs
•• Make sure the air rifle is “ON SAFE” (sec. 2A) and pointed in a SAFE DIRECTION,
•• While keeping your hand away from the front of the muzzle open the BB loading port door.
(Fig. 3).
•• With the muzzle end of the barrel pointed up at an angle, slowly pour up to 700 BBs through		Fig. 3
the BB loading port into the BB reservoir. (Fig 4)

•• Close the BB loading port door.

B. Unloading the BBs

	•• Put the air rifle “ON SAFE” (See Step 2A).
	•• While keeping your hand away from the front of the muzzle open the BB loading port door.
	•• Tilt the muzzle end of the barrel down.
	•• Shake the air rifle until all BBs fall out.
	•• Close the loading port door.
	•• Cock the air rifle.
	•• With the gun pointed in a SAFE DIRECTION take “OFF SAFE” and fire the gun by pulling
	the trigger.	Fig. 4
	•• Repeat these steps several times to make sure that no BBs remain in the air rifle.

NEVER ASSUME THAT BECAUSE THE AIRGUN NO LONGER FIRES A BB, THAT A BB IS NOT LODGED IN THE BARREL. ALWAYS TREAT THE AIRGUN AS THOUGH IT IS LOADED AND WITH THE SAME RESPECT YOU WOULD A FIREARM.

5. Cocking Your Air Rifle

B. Sight Adjustment

•• The rear sight may be adjusted to shoot higher or lower (elevation).

•• Move the rear sight elevator back to make the BB or pellet hit higher on the target.

•• Move the rear sight elevator forward to make the BB or pellet hit lower on the target. When moving the elevator, slightly lift the rear sight with one hand, and move the elevator with the other hand and reset it on the desired notch. (Fig. 8)

7. Maintaining Your Airgun

•• Before you attempt to oil your airgun, make sure the gun is “ON SAFE”, unloaded and not cocked.

•• Your airgun will maintain proper function longer if you oil it every 250 shots. Put one drop	Fig. 9
of Crosman 0241 Pellgunoil® in the tube as shown (Fig 9). DO NOT use petroleum distillate
based oil or solvent, and DO NOT over-oil as this can cause damage to your gun.

•• A light coat of Pellgunoil on the barrel helps prevent rust.

•• DO NOT MODIFY OR ALTER YOUR AIRGUN. Attempts to modify the airgun in any way inconsistent with this manual may make your airgun unsafe to use, cause serious injury or death, and will void the warranty.

•• If you drop your airgun, visually check to see that no damage has occurred to the gun. If anything seems changed, like a shorter or weaker trigger pull, this may mean worn out or broken parts. Call Crosman customer service for assistance before using your airgun again.

PERFORMANCE

Many factors affect velocity, including brand of projectile, type of projectile, lubrication, barrel condition and temperature. This air pistol was designed to function best with CROSMAN® and COPPERHEAD® branded ammunition. Use of other ammunition may cause the air pistol to malfunction.

LIMITED ONE YEAR WARRANTY

This product is warranted to the retail consumer for one year from date of retail purchase against defects in material and workmanship and is transferable. You should retain the original sales receipt as record of date of purchase. If no receipt, the product is warranted for one year from date of manufacture.

1.Transportation charges to Authorized Service Station for defective product.

6. Aiming and Firing Safely
A. Aiming the Airgun	DOWN		UP
•• Always point your airgun in a SAFE DIRECTION.
•• You and others with you should always wear shooting glasses to protect your eyes.
•• Do not shoot at hard surfaces or at the surface of water. The BB or pellet may bounce off or ricochet and hit
someone or something you had not intended to hit.
•• Always choose your target carefully. For example, you may wish to shoot at paper bulls eye targets that are			Rear
attached to a safe backstop such as the Crosman 850 or 0852 Target Trap. A heavy blanket should be hung
behind the target trap to prevent ricochet should you miss the backstop.		ELEVATOR	Sight
•• Your airgun is designed for target shooting and is suited for both indoor and outdoor use. Always remem-			Fig. 8
ber to place your target carefully. THINK about what you will hit if you miss the target.

•• Follow the instructions for cocking (Section 4) and loading BB (Section 3A).

•• The airgun is correctly aimed when the front sight blade is positioned exactly in the center of the notch of the rear sight. The top of the front sight blade should be even with the top of the notch in the rear sight. The bulls-eye should appear to rest on the top of the front sight. (Fig. 7)

•• When you are sure of your target and backstop and the area around the target is clear, take the airgun “OFF SAFE” (See section 2B) and pull the trigger to fire. Note: You must follow the procedure for cocking; loading and firing your airgun each time you shoot (See sections 3-5).

1. Revisión de seguridad

MANTENGA EL ARMA DE AIRE COMPRIMIDO EN LA POSICIÓN DE SEGURO COLOCADO (“ON SAFE”) HASTA QUE ESTÉ REALMENTE PREPARADO PARA DISPARAR.

3. Operación del seguro

A. Para colocar el seguro del arma de aire comprimido (“ON SAFE”):

•• Busque el seguro que se encuentra detrás del gatillo.

•• Empuje el seguro desdel lado izquierdo introduciéndolo por completo (fig. 2). El seguro no se encuentra activado (“ON SAFE”) a menos que se haya presionado completamente hacia adentro y que NO se vea el anillo ROJO que está alrededor del seguro.

Como todos los dispositivos mecánicos, el seguro de un arma de aire comprimido puede fallar. Aun cuando el seguro esté activado (“ON SAFE”), debe seguir manipulando cuidadosamente el arma de aire comprimido. NUNCA apunte el arma de aire comprimido hacia una persona. NUNCA apunte el arma de aire comprimido hacia un objeto al que no desee disparar.

B. Para quitar el seguro del arma de aire comprimido (“OFF SAFE”):

•• Empuje el seguro desde el lado derecho introduciéndolo por completo.

•• Cuando vea el anillo ROJO alrededor del lado izquierdo del seguro, el seguro del arma de aire comprimido ya no está activado (“OFF Fig. 2 SAFE”) y puede dispararse.

4. Carga y descarga de perdigones BB A. Carga de perdigones BB

•• Asegúrese de que el seguro del rifle de aire comprimido esté colocado (“ON SAFE”) (secc. 2A) y apunte en una DIRECCIÓN SEGURA,

•• Con la mano lejos del frente de la boca del arma de aire comprimido, abra la tapa de la boca de carga de perdigones BB (fig. 3).

•• Con el extremo de la boca del cañón apuntando a un ángulo, vierta lentamente hasta 700 perdigones BB a través de la boca de carga de perdigones BB en el depósito de perdigones BB (fig. 4).

•• Coloque el seguro al rifle de aire comprimido (“ON SAFE”). (Vea el paso 2A).

•• Con la mano lejos del frente de la boca del arma de aire comprimido, abra la tapa de la boca de carga de perdigones BB.

•• Incline el extremo de la boca del cañón hacia abajo.

•• Sacuda el rifle de aire comprimido hasta que todos los perdigones BB hayan caído.

•• Cierre la tapa de la boca de carga.

•• Monte el rifle de aire comprimido.

•• Con el arma apuntando en una DIRECCIÓN SEGURA, retire el seguro (“OFF SAFE”) y dispare el arma presionando el gatillo.

5. Cómo montar su rifle de aire

SIEMPRE SUJETE CON FIRMEZA LA PALANCA AL MONTAR EL ARMA DE AIRE COMPRIMIDO PARA EVITAR POSIBLES LESIONES.

•• Asegúrese de que el seguro del rifle de aire comprimido esté colocado (“ON SAFE”). (Vea el paso 2A).

•• Con el extremo de la boquilla del cañón levantada hacia arriba en una DIRECCIÓN SEGURA, como se muestra en la figura 5, presione la palanca de montado hacia afuera por completo.

NOTA: Si levanta la boca al montar el rifle de aire comprimido, esto hará que un perdigón BB se deslice hacia la posición de disparo.

•• Su arma de aire comprimido está diseñada para tiro al blanco y es adecuada para su uso en interiores y exteriores. Recuerde siempre colocar su blanco con cuidado. PIENSE en lo que podría impactar si no acierta al blanco.

•• Siga las instrucciones para montar el arma (sección 4) y cargar los perdigones BB (sección 3A).

•• El arma de aire comprimido está correctamente apuntada cuando el guión está colocado exactamente en el centro de la muesca del alza. La parte superior del guión debe estar a la misma altura que la parte superior del alza. El centro del blanco debe parecer sobre la parte superior del guión (fig. 7).

•• Cuando esté seguro del blanco y del respaldo, y el área alrededor del blanco esté libre, quite el seguro (“OFF SAFE”) del arma de aire comprimido (vea la sección 2B) y tire del gatillo para disparar.

Nota: Debe seguir el procedimiento para montar, cargar y disparar su arma de aire comprimido siempre que dispare. (Vea las secciones 3-5).

B. Ajuste de la mira

•• El alza puede ajustarse para disparar más alto o más bajo (elevación).

•• Mueva el elevador del alza hacia atrás para que el proyectil o perdigón BB impacte más alto en el blanco.

•• Mueva el elevador del alza hacia adelante para que el proyectil o perdigón BB impacte más bajo en el blanco. Al mover el elevador, levante ligeramente el alza con una mano y mueva el elevador con la otra, y ubíquelo en la muesca deseada (fig. 8).

7. Mantenimiento del arma de aire comprimido

•• Antes de intentar lubricar su arma de aire comprimido, asegúrese de que el seguro esté colocado (“ON SAFE”) y de que el arma esté descargada y desmontada.

•• Su arma de aire comprimido funcionará correctamente por más tiempo si la lubrica cada 250 disparos. Coloque una gota de aceite para perdigones BB Crosman 0241 Pellgunoil® en el conducto tal como se muestra (fig 9). NO use aceite de destilado de petróleo ni solvente, y NO lubrique en exceso, ya que esto puede causar daños en el arma de aire comprimido.

•• Un ligero recubrimiento de Pellgunoil en el cañón ayuda a evitar la corrosión.

•• NO MODIFIQUE NI ALTERE SU ARMA DE AIRE COMPRIMIDO. Los intentos de hacer cualquier tipo de modificación en el arma de aire comprimido que no esté indicada en este manual pueden hacer que el uso del arma de aire comprimido no sea seguro, ocasionar lesiones

graves o la muerte, además de anular la garantía.

•• Si deja caer el arma de aire comprimido, inspeccione visualmente para comprobar que no haya sufrido daños. Si le parece que algo se ha modificado, como por ejemplo que el gatillo

esté más blando o más duro, podría ser una indicación de que las piezas están gastadas o rotas. Llame al Centro de Atención al Cliente de Crosman para obtener asistencia antes de volver a usar el arma de aire comprimido.

DESEMPEÑO

Este rifle de aire está diseñado para funcionar mejor con munición de la marca CROSMAN® y COPPERHEAD®. El uso de otra munición puede hacer que su arma funcione incorrectamente.

Este producto está garantizado contra defectos de materiales o mano de obra al consumidor al menudeo durante un año desde la fecha de la compra al menudeo y la garantía es transferible. Debe conservar el recibo original de venta como registro de la fecha de la compra. Si no hay recibo, este producto está garantizado durante un año desde la fecha de su fabricación.
