Safety
• The tile saw must not be modified or used for any other purpose than that for which it has been designed.
Regularly check that all screws and nuts are securely tightened.
• Make sure that the motor’s rated voltage is the same as that of the wall socket.
• Damaged power leads and switches must always be replaced by a tradesman. Never operate the tile saw
if you cannot stop or start it comfortably.
• This tile saw is only intended for cutting brick, stone, ceramic floor and wall tiles, etc.
General safety instructions – portable electric power tools
NB: When using this tool all basic safety precautions must be followed to avoid the risk of fire, electrocution and
personal injury. Read these instructions carefully before using the tile saw and keep them for future reference.
• Keep the working area tidy. Cluttered surfaces and benches invite accidents.
• Take stock of your working environment. Do not expose the tool to rain. Do not use the tool in moist or wet
areas. Keep the working area well lit. Never operate the tool near flammable liquid or gas.
• Reduce the risk of electric shocks. Avoid body contact with earthed objects such as pipes, radiators, ovens
or refrigerators.
• Keep other people at a safe distance. Do not allow anyone, especially children, not involved in the work
process to touch the tool or its electric cable. Keep all bystanders at a distance.
• Store the tool in a safe place. When the tile saw is not in use, keep it in a locked, dry area, away from
children.
• Do not force the tool. The tool will work better and safer at the feed rate for which it was intended.
• Use the correct tool for the job. Do not try to use small tools to perform jobs requiring more powerful tools.
Do not use a tool for a purpose for which it was not designed, e.g. using a circular saw for lopping branches
off trees.
• Wear suitable attire. Do not wear loose-fitting clothing or jewellery; they could be caught in moving parts.
Non-slip shoes are recommended for outdoor work. Wear a hairnet or similar if you have long hair.
• Always use safetywear. Wear safety glasses. Use a dust mask or dust filter when working in dusty environments.
• Use dust extractors. If the tool is equipped with or connected to a dust extractor/collector, make sure that it
is turned on and used correctly.
• Do not abuse the lead. Do not jerk the lead, grip the plug itself when disconnecting the power. Make sure
that the mains lead does not come into contact with heat, oil, or sharp edges.
• Firmly secure the workpiece. If possible use vices or clamps to hold the workpiece in place. This is much
safer than holding the workpiece in one hand.
• Do not overreach. Make sure that you stand steady and balanced all times.
• Look after you tools. Make sure that they are clean and that the edges are sharp for maximum effect and
best results. Follow the manuals recommendations regarding lubrication and replacement of accessories.
Inspect the mains lead regularly. If it is damaged it should be replaced by a qualified service technician.
Inspect all leads and cables regularly to check for any damage. Make sure that the tile saw’s handles and
controls are clean, dry and free from oil and grease.
• Turn the power off. Pull out the plug and push in the emergency stop button before servicing or changing
any blades, drill bits, cutters or sanding discs.
• Remove all spanners and repair tools. Make a habit of checking to make sure that the tile saw is free of all
spanners and tools before turning the power on.

• Avoid accidental starts. Do not walk around with your finger on the trigger of a power tool if it is plugged in.
Make sure that the on/off switch is set to OFF before plugging in any power tool.
• Use the correct extension leads. If you use extension leads outdoors, only use those designed for outdoor
use. Only use extension leads with thick enough diameter core wires and roll out the whole lead.
• Use common sense and be careful. Think before carrying out any task, so that it is carried out safely.
Never operate machines/power tools when you are tired or under the influence of medicine.
• Check the following before turning the tool on:
- That all guards and other parts are whole and in working order.
- That moving parts are free and correctly aligned.
- That no moving parts can get caught.
- That there are no visible defects.
- Other factors that can influence work execution.
• Use only recommended accessories. The use of accessories which are not recommended by
the manufacturer may present a risk of personal injury.
• Check that the tool conforms to current safety regulations. Repairs to the tool should only be carried out by
a tradesman using original spares; otherwise the tool could cause accidents and personal injury.
Specific Safety Rules
Before starting the tile saw
• Place the tile saw on a firm, level surface.
• Make sure that the power switch is set on 0 before connecting the tile saw to a wall socket.
Only connect the tile saw to an earthed wall socket.
• Make sure that the blade is well-centred and undamaged before starting work.
• Only use tile cutting blades/discs with an outside diameter of 150–180 mm and a bore of 22.2 mm
and which are approved for use at the maximum speed of the tile saw, i.e. 3000 rpm.
• Do not overtighten the spindle nut.
• Protect the cutting blade from moisture and blows.
• Make sure that the cutting blade can rotate freely before starting the tile saw.
• Never use a buckled or cracked blade.
• Never stop the blade by pressing on it from the side.
• Make sure that the cutting blade is not in contact with the workpiece or any other object
when the tile saw is switched on.
• Always wear safety gloves. Never remove waste material from within the work area
whilst the cutting blade is rotating.
• Never use the tile saw of the safety devices/guards are not fitted or do not work.
• Always pull the plug out of the wall socket before servicing and adjusting the tile saw.

Whilst operating the tile saw
• Make sure that the water tray is always full whilst working.
• Never use the tile saw without the blade guard in place.
• Never stand in line with the cutting blade when turning the tile saw on.
• Pull out the plug if the tile saw is left unattended.
• Adopt a steady stance and hold the workpiece firmly in both hands.
• Do not exert lateral pressure onto the blade.
• Be aware of the power cable when using the tile saw. Do not let it come into contact with any moving parts.
• Use a push stick to feed small workpieces against the blade. Do not saw tiles that cannot be handled safely.
Switch the tile saw off immediately if…
• The tile saw starts to behave strangely, e.g. emits smoke, sparks, strange noises or starts vibrating.
• The tile saw’s power switch or electric cable is damaged.

Assembly
Screw on the blade guard (4) if it is not already in place.
Use
Sawing tiles
1. Place the tile saw on a smooth and level surface.
2. Fill the water tray with clean water up to the “max level” mark. The correct water level is stated on the blade
guard and on the inside of the water tray.
3. Tilt the work table to the desired angle by loosening the adjusting screws (8). Tighten the screws when
the tilt angle has been set.
4. Set the blade guard (4) so that a tile just fits between the guard and the table.
5. Think about how the task is to be performed. Set the parallel guide fence (2), it can be mounted on either
side of the blade. Set the fence to the same scale mark on both ends of the table to ensure that it is parallel.
6. Adapt the parallel guide fence’s handle (1) by turning it clockwise/anticlockwise until you have the correct
resistance and then tighten it so that it stays in place. Measure, using a ruler or tape, the distance between
the blade and the guide fence to make sure that the cutting length will be correct.
7. Plug the mains lead into a 230 V wall outlet and turn the tile saw on by switching the on/off switch (7) to I.
Let the blade come up to full speed before beginning to cut.
8. Feed the tile into the blade with a smooth and continuous motion. Use the parallel fence as a guide.
9. Turn the motor off by switching the on/off switch to 0. Do not remove the pieces of cut tile until the blade
has completely stopped rotating.
Sawing at an angle of 45°
1. Place the tile saw on a smooth and level surface.
2. Fill the water tray with clean water up to the “max level” mark. The correct water level is stated on the blade
guard and on the inside of the water tray.
3. Adjust the level/tilt of the work table to the desired angle using the adjusting screws (8). Tighten the screws
when the tilt angle has been set.
4. Set the blade guard (4) so that a tile just fits between the guard and the table.
5. Think about how the task is to be performed. Set the parallel guide fence (2), it can be mounted on either
side of the blade. Set the fence to the same scale mark on both sides.
6. Adapt the parallel guide fence’s handle (1) by turning it clockwise/anticlockwise until you have the correct
resistance and then tighten it so that it stays in place. Measure, using a ruler or tape, the distance between
the blade and the guide fence to make sure that the cutting length will be correct.
7. Plug the mains lead into a 230 V wall outlet and turn the tile saw on by switching the on/off switch to I.
Let the blade come up to full speed before beginning to cut.
8. Insert the corner of the tile into the corner of the 45º mitre guide (3) (see fig.).
9. Slide the mitre guide along
the parallel guide fence
towards the cutting blade
in a smooth motion.
10. Make sure that the mitre guide
does not come into contact
with the cutting blade.
11. Turn the motor off by switching
the on/off switch to 0 when
you have finished sawing.
Do not remove the pieces
of cut tile until the blade has
completely stopped rotating.

Changing the blade
1. Turn off the tile saw and pull out the plug from the wall socket.
2. Remove the water tray.

3. Remove the blade guard using
a crosshead screwdriver.
5. Slide the new blade onto the spindle, observing the direction of rotation arrow,
and then replace the flange washer and lock nut.
6. Tighten the nut properly, but do not overtighten it.
4. Unscrew the blade lock nut from the spindle
and remove the outer flange washer using the
two provided spanners. The inner flange washer
should be left on the spindle.
Care and maintenance
• Turn the tile saw off and unplug it.
• Wipe the tile saw after use with a damp cloth and keep the ventilation openings clear.
• Empty and rinse out the water tray after use.

Säkerhet

Håll arbetsplatsen väl upplyst. Använd inte verktygen i närheten av lättantändliga vätskor eller gaser.

• Förvara verktyget i ett säkert utrymme. När verktyget inte används, förvara det i ett torrt, låst utrymme utom
räckhåll för barn.
• Överbelasta inte verktyget. Det gör jobbet bättre och säkrare med avsedd matningshastighet.
• Använd rätt verktyg. Pressa inte små verktyg att utföra stora jobb som kräver kraftfulla verktyg. Pressa inte
ett verktyg, eller en tillsats, att göra ett arbetsmoment som det inte är gjort för; använd t.ex. inte en cirkelsåg
för att kapa trädgrenar eller timmer.
• Bär lämplig klädsel. Bär inga löst sittande kläder eller smycken, de kan fastna i roterande delar.
Halksäkra skor rekommenderas vid arbete utomhus. Bär hårnät eller liknande om du har långt hår.
• Bär alltid skyddsutrustning. Bär skyddsglasögon. Använd också dammfilter eller skyddsmask vid
dammande arbeten.
• Använd utsugningsutrustning. Om verktyget är förberett för anslutning av utrustning för utsugning och
uppsamling av damm, se till att utrustningen är ansluten och korrekt använd.
• Misshandla inte nätsladden. Ryck inte i sladden utan dra i stickproppen när du ska ta ur den ur vägguttaget.
Se till att nätsladden inte kommer i kontakt med värme, olja eller vassa kanter.
• Spänn fast arbetsstycket ordentligt. När det är möjligt, använd tvingar eller skruvstäd för att spänna fast
arbetsstycket. Det är säkrare än att hålla fast arbetsstycket med ena handen.
• Sträck dig inte för långt. Se till att du hela tiden står säkert med god balans.
• Håll verktygen i trim. Se till att de är rena och eggarna vassa för optimal effekt och ett säkert resultat. Följ
manualens rekommendationer för smörjning och byte av tillbehör. Kontrollera nätsladden regelbundet. Om den
är skadad ska den bytas av en kvalificerad servicetekniker. Syna alla skarvsladdar regelbundet så att de inte är
skadade. Se till att maskinens/verktygets handtag och reglage är torra, rena och helt fria från olja, fett etc.
• Slå av strömmen. Dra ur stickproppen och tryck in nödstopp före service och vid byte av tillbehör som
hyvelstål, borrar, stål, slipband eller blad.
• Ta bort alla nycklar och serviceverktyg. Gör det till en vana att kontrollera att alla nycklar och serviceverktyg
är borttagna från maskinen innan du slår på strömmen.

• Undvik oavsiktlig start. Bär inte ett verktyg med ett finger på strömbrytaren/avtryckaren om sladden sitter
iett uttag. Se till att strömbrytaren står på OFF när du sätter in stickproppen.
• Använd rätt skarvsladdar. Om du använder skarvsladdar utomhus, använd endast de som är avsedda för
utomhusbruk. Använd skarvsladdar med tillräcklig ledararea och rulla ut hela sladden.
• Använd sunt förnuft och var försiktig. Tänk efter innan du utför ett arbetsmoment, så att du kan utföra det på
ett säkert sätt. Använd inte maskinen/verktyget när du är trött, påverkad av mediciner etc.
• Kontrollera följande innan du startar verktyget:
- Att alla skydd och övriga delar är oskadade och fyller sin funktion.
- Att rörliga delar kan rotera fritt och är rätt inriktade.
- Att inga rörliga delar kan fastna.
- Att ingen defekt har uppstått.

Särskilda säkerhetsregler
Innan maskinen startas
• Placera kakelskäraren på en plan och stabil yta.
• Kontrollera att strömbrytaren står i läge 0 innan stickproppen ansluts till ett vägguttag. Anslut endast
maskinen till ett jordat vägguttag.
• Kontrollera innan användning att kapskivan är väl centrerad och att den inte är skadad.
• Använd endast kapskivor som har en yttre diameter mellan 150–180 mm, som har en håldiameter på
22,2mm och som är godkända för maskinens spindelvarvtal (3000 v/min).
• Dra inte åt spindelmuttern för hårt.
• Skydda kapskivor mot fukt och stötar.
• Kontrollera att kapskivan kan rotera fritt innan du startar maskinen.
• Använd aldrig böjda eller spruckna kapskivor.
• Stoppa aldrig kapskivan genom att trycka på den från sidan.
• Kapskivan får inte komma i kontakt med arbetsmaterialet eller andra föremål när du startar maskinen.
• Använd alltid skyddshandskar. Ta aldrig bort material från arbetsområdet medan kapskivan roterar.
• Använd aldrig maskinen om skyddsutrustningen inte är monterad eller inte fungerar.
• Dra alltid ur nätsladdens stickpropp ur vägguttaget innan service och justering av maskinen.
Under arbete med maskinen
• Se till att vattenbehållaren alltid är fylld under arbetet.
• Använd aldrig maskinen utan att skydden är monterade.
• Stå inte rakt framför kapskivan när du startar maskinen.
• Dra ur stickproppen ur vägguttaget om du lämnar maskinen utan uppsikt.
• Stå stadigt och håll i arbetsstycket med båda händerna.
• Kapskivan får inte belastas i sidled.
• Håll uppsikt på elkabeln under användning av maskinen, så att den inte kommer i kontakt med några rörliga delar.
• Använd en skjutkäpp för att mata in små arbetsmaterial mot kapskivan. Såga inte kakelplattor som inte kan
hanteras säkert.
Stäng av maskinen omedelbart om...
• Maskinen börjar uppträda konstigt och ge ifrån sig t.ex. gnistor, rök, vibrationer eller onormala ljud.
• Maskinens strömbrytare eller elkabel är skadade.
