Safety

1. The dehumidiﬁer must only be connected to a220–240 V, 50 Hz earthed outlet ﬁtted with anRCD.

2. The dehumidiﬁer may be used by children of 8 years and above and by persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capability or lack of experience and knowledge provided they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of theappliance in asafe way and understand thehazards involved.

3. Never let children play with thedehumidiﬁer.

4. Cleaning and maintenance may be carried out by children but only under adult supervision.

5. The dehumidiﬁer must always stand upright.

6. Never sit, cover or place foreign objects on thedehumidiﬁer.

7. Make sure that therubber plug in thedrain hose hole is securely in place before turning thedehumidiﬁer on if it is not to be used for continuous dehumidiﬁcation.

8. The dehumidiﬁer must stand upright for at least 1 hour before it is used for theﬁrst time. The same applies after thethe dehumidiﬁer has been moved or cleaned, etc.

9. Make sure that theair ﬁlter is clean and correctly ﬁtted before turning thedehumidiﬁer on.

10. Never use thedehumidiﬁer if themains lead, plug or any other part is damaged or does not work properly.

11. Never try to dismantle or repair you dehumidiﬁer yourself.

12. If thedehumidiﬁer needs to be used with anextension lead or trailing socket, make sure that thelead used is suitable for use with thedehumidiﬁer.

13. Never plug in or unplug thedehumidiﬁer with wet hands.

14. Never insert foreign objects into thedehumidiﬁer’s openings.

15. Unplug thedehumidiﬁer immediately if it emits strange noises, odours or smoke.

16. Unplug thedehumidiﬁer immediately if it tips over or if it is splashed with water. Contact aqualiﬁed service technician before using thedehumidiﬁer again.

17. The dehumidiﬁer must not be covered in any way. Make sure that no foreign objects cover or block theair inlet/outlet. Blockages can lead to ﬁres, electric shocks or damage to thedehumidiﬁer.

18. Never use thedehumidiﬁer in areas where ﬂammable liquids/materials or gases (petrol, solvents, gas cylinders) are stored or used.

19. Unplug thedehumidiﬁer from thewall socket when it is not in use.

20. Never use themains lead plug for turning thedehumidiﬁer on or off. The dehumidiﬁer should only be switched on and off using theon/off switch.

21. Before moving thedehumidiﬁer: Make sure it is switched off, unplugged and that

thewater tank is empty.

22. Never expose thedehumidiﬁer to running/splashing water or other liquids. Liquid coming in contact with electrical components can be extremely hazardous.

23. Do not place thedehumidiﬁer where there is arisk of it falling into water or other liquid. Do not place any objects which contain liquid onto thedehumidiﬁer such as vases, drinks, etc.

Placement

• The dehumidiﬁer is only intended for normal domestic use and only in themanner described in this instruction manual.

• Do not use thedehumidiﬁer in aroom in which thetemperature might fall to below 5 ºC.

• Make sure that thedehumidiﬁer is standing ﬁrmly on aﬂat surface capable of supporting its weight even when thewater reservoir is full.

• Make sure that themains lead is easily accessible and is not damaged by sharp edges or is crushed in any way during use.

• Extra caution should taken be when thedehumidiﬁer is used in thesame environment as infants, small children and theelderly.

• The dehumidiﬁer should be placed where it can draw in air from theentire house.

• All interior doors should be opened. Close exterior doors and windows.

• If any part of your house suffers from severe humidity, thedehumidiﬁer can be

placed there ﬁrst and then moved to another part of thehouse later.

• Position thedehumidiﬁer where theair can circulate freely, allow at least 20 cm of air space on all sides.

• Never place thedehumidiﬁer next to aradiator or heating appliance.

Operating instructions

Note:

• Make sure that therubber plug in thedrain hose hole is securely in place before turning thedehumidiﬁer on if it is not to be used for continuous dehumidiﬁcation.

• The dehumidiﬁer works best at normal room temperature, its efﬁciency is reduced if theambient temperature falls to below 15 ºC.

• Let thedehumidiﬁer operate continuously for 24 hours theﬁrst time it used. See theContinuous operation section below.

• If thedehumidiﬁer is turned off and then turned back on again immediately, it will take approximately 3 minutes to reach full power.

• Never use thedehumidiﬁer without theair ﬁlter in place.

Switching the dehumidiﬁer on/off

1. Read all theinstructions in theSafety and Placement sections above.

2. Connect themains lead to awall socket with thespeciﬁcations listed in part 1 of theSafety section above.

3. Turn thedehumidiﬁer on by pressing the[ on/off ] button.

4. Turn thedehumidiﬁer off by pressing the[ on/off ] button again.

Automatic shut-off

When thewater reservoir is full thedehumidiﬁer shuts off automatically and the“WATER FULL” LED indicator on thecontrol panel lights.

Emptying the water reservoir

1. Unplug themains lead from thewall socket.

2. Grip thewater reservoir by thehandles on each side and pull it forwards.

3. Empty thewater out of water reservoir and then reﬁt it onto thedehumidiﬁer. The dehumidiﬁer will restart automatically once thewater reservoir has been reﬁtted if it was shut off automatically.

Automatic defrost feature

The dehumidiﬁer is equipped with anautomatic defrost feature. Frost can build up on some components inside thedehumidiﬁer under certain conditions. The defrost feature removes this frost. No settings can or need to be made for this feature.

Air ﬁlter

Disassembly

1. Grip thewater reservoir by thehandles on each side and pull it forwards. See thediagram under theEmptying thewater reservoir section above.

2. Press in thelocking tabs and pull theair ﬁlter straight down.

Cleaning

1. Wash theﬁlter carefully in warm water, use amild detergent if necessary. Note: Do not wash theair ﬁlter in adishwasher.

2. Rinse theﬁlter in clean water and let it dry before reinserting it.

Assembly

Reﬁt theair ﬁlter by pushing it in until thelocking tabs click.

Continuous operation

When thedehumidiﬁer is used in anenvironment with high humidity, thewater reservoir will need emptying often. In such circumstances, it could be more practical to run thedehumidiﬁer continuously.

1. Remove therubber plug covering thedrain hose connection (9).

2. Connect asuitable 12 mm bore drain hose (sold separately). Make sure that thedrain hose is secure and tight to prevent leakage.

3. The other end of thedrain hose should be inserted into adrain which is lower than thedrain hose connection on thedehumidiﬁer.

4. Position thehose in such away that thewater can drain freely. Avoid kinking and pinching thehose.

5. To discontinue continuous operation, switch thedehumidiﬁer off, unplug it and disconnect thedrain hose.

6. Re-insert therubber plug into thedrain hose connection.

7. Plug themains lead back in and switch thedehumidiﬁer on again.

Care and maintenance

Note: Turn thedehumidiﬁer off and pull out theplug before cleaning or servicing it.

• Clean theexterior of thedehumidiﬁer using alightly moistened cloth. Only use mild cleaning agents, never solvents or corrosive chemicals.

• Vacuum clean theair inlet and outlet grilles of thedehumidiﬁer.

• Remove thewater reservoir (see theEmptying thewater reservoir section above)

every 14th day and wash it by hand using amild detergent. Rinse it with clean water.

• Note: Do not wash thewater reservoir in adishwasher.

• Clean theair ﬁlter every 14th day, see theAir ﬁlter section above.

• If thedehumidiﬁer is not to be used for anextended period

- Switch thedehumidiﬁer off, unplug it, wind up themains lead and hang it on thelead holder.

- Clean thehousing of thedehumidiﬁer.

- Wait 24 hours before emptying thewater reservoir to ensure that all thewater in thedehumidiﬁer has had time to collect in it.

- Remove thewater reservoir, empty it, dry it and then reﬁt it.

- Remove theair ﬁlter, clean and reﬁt it.

- Store thedehumidiﬁer in adry, well-ventilated place.

Troubleshooting guide

The dehumidiﬁer will

not switch on.

The humidity is not reducing.

Unusual noises emitted during use.

The dehumidiﬁer is leaking.

The POWER LED ﬂashes.

• Make sure that themains lead is properly plugged in and that there is power in thewall socket.

• The water reservoir is full or incorrectly ﬁtted.

• The dehumidiﬁer has not been used long enough.

• Make sure that nothing is preventing theair in

theroom where thedehumidiﬁer is used from circulating properly.

• Make sure that no outdoor air can enter theroom in which thedehumidiﬁer is being used.

• The ambient temperature is below 15 ºC.

• Is there aheat source in theroom which is raising

thehumidity?

• Make sure that theair ﬁlter is clean.

• The dehumidiﬁer is tilted or standing on an

uneven surface.

• Make sure that thedrain hose is properly connected if thedehumidiﬁer is used in continuous operation mode.

• Make sure that therubber plug is covering thedrain hose connection if thedehumidiﬁer is used in normal mode/not continuously.

• The humidity and/or temperature sensor is defective. Turn off theair conditioner, pull out theplug and plug it in again. If this does not solve theproblem, contact aqualiﬁed service centre.

Disposal

This dehumidiﬁer should be disposed of in accordance with local regulations. If you are unsure how to proceed, contact your local authority.

Säkerhet

3. Låt aldrig barn leka med luftavfuktaren.

4. Rengöring och skötsel får utföras av barn endast i vuxens närvaro.

5. Luftavfuktaren måste alltid stå upprätt.

6. Sitt aldrig, och placera aldrig främmande föremål av något slag, på luftavfuktaren.

7. Kontroller att gummipluggen i anslutningen för dräneringsslangen är ordentligt intryckt innan luftavfuktaren slås på vid användning utan kontinuerlig avfuktning.

8. Innan luftavfuktaren tas i bruk för första gången ska den stå upprätt minst 1 timme innan den används. Detsamma gäller om luftavfuktaren kommit ur sin upprätta position genom att den ﬂyttats, rengjorts etc.

9. Kontrollera att luftﬁltret är rengjort och rätt monterat innan luftavfuktaren används.

10. Använd aldrig luftavfuktaren om nätkabeln, stickproppen eller någon annan del är skadad eller inte fungerar normalt.

11. Försök aldrig själv ta isär eller reparera luftavfuktaren.

12. Om luftavfuktaren måste användas med skarvkabel eller grenuttag, försäkra dig om att dessa är lämpliga att använda tillsammans med luftavfuktare.

13. Ta inte i stickproppen med våta händer när den sätts i eller dras ur vägguttaget.

14. Stick aldrig in föremål av något slag i luftavfuktarens öppningar.

15. Dra omedelbart ur nätkabeln ur vägguttaget om främmande ljud, lukt eller rök kommer från luftavfuktaren.

16. Dra omedelbart ur nätkabeln ur vägguttaget om luftavfuktaren faller ner i eller blir översköljd av vatten. Kontakta kvaliﬁcerad service innan luftavfuktaren används igen.

17. Luftavfuktaren får inte på något sätt övertäckas. Se till att främmande föremål inte täcker för eller tränger in i luftinlopp/utlopp. Detta kan leda till elchock, brand eller att luftavfuktaren förstörs.

18. Använd aldrig luftavfuktaren i lokaler där brandfarliga vätskor/ämnen eller gaser (bensin, lösningsmedel, gasol etc.) förvaras eller används.

19. Dra ur nätkabeln ur vägguttaget när luftavfuktaren inte används.

20. Använd aldrig nätkabeln för att slå på eller av luftavfuktaren. Luftavfuktaren ska styras med på/av-knappen.

21. Innan luftavfuktaren ﬂyttas: Stäng av, dra ur nätkabeln ur vägguttaget och töm vattentanken.

22. Utsätt aldrig luftavfuktaren för rinnande/stänkande vatten eller andra vätskor. Det kan utgöra livsfara om vätska kommer i kontakt med elektriska delar.

23. Placera inte luftavfuktaren så att den kan falla ner i vatten eller annan vätska. Ställ inte heller några föremål som innehåller vätska på produkten, t.ex. enblomvas eller dryck.

Placering

• Luftavfuktaren är endast avsedd för normal användning i hemmet på det sätt som beskrivs i den här bruksanvisningen.

• Använd inte luftavfuktaren i enlokal där temperaturen riskerar att falla under 5 ºC.

• Se till att luftavfuktaren står stadigt på ettplant underlag som orkar bära dess vikt

även då vattenbehållaren är fylld.

• Försäkra dig om att nätkabeln är lättåtkomlig och inte skadas av vassa kanter eller kläms på något sätt vid användning.

• Var extra uppmärksam när luftavfuktaren används i miljöer där spädbarn, små barn

• Luftavfuktaren bör placeras så att den kan dra åt sig luft från hela huset.

• Alla innerdörrar bör stå öppna. Stäng ytterdörrar och fönster.

• Om det ﬁnns stora problem med luftfuktighet i någon del av huset kan luftavfuktaren

först placeras där för att sedan ﬂyttas.

• Placera luftavfuktaren så att luften kan cirkulera ordentligt, lämna ettavstånd på minst 20 cm till närmaste vägg eller annan inredning.

• Placera inte luftavfuktaren intill värmeelement eller andra värmealstrande produkter.

Användning

Obs!

• Kontroller att gummipluggen i anslutningen för dräneringsslangen är ordentligt intryckt innan luftavfuktaren slås på vid användning utan kontinuerlig avfuktning.

• Tänk på att luftavfuktaren fungerar bäst i normal rumstemperatur och att effekten reduceras om rumstemperaturen sjunker under 15 ºC.

• Låt luftavfuktaren arbeta kontinuerligt i 24 timmar första gången den används. Se avsnitt Kontinuerlig avfuktning nedan.

• Om luftavfuktaren slås av och sedan omedelbart slås på igen tar det ca 3 minuter innan den uppnår full effekt.

• Använd aldrig luftavfuktaren utan att luftﬁltret är monterat.

Slå på/av luftavfuktaren

1. Läs alla instruktioner under avsnitten Säkerhet och Placering ovan.

2. Anslut nätkabeln till ettvägguttag med de speciﬁkationer som anges under punkt 1 i avsnitt Säkerhet ovan.

3. Slå på luftavfuktaren genom att trycka [ på/av ].

4. Slå av luftavfuktaren genom att åter trycka [ på/av ].
