INTRODUCTION
Thank you for specifying Cornelius. The Focus dispenser has been designed and
engineered to high standards and if properly installed and maintained will provide a long
and reliable working life.
You are strongly advised to read carefully the contents of this guide and then
retain it for future reference.
Please remember the warranty can be invalidated by unauthorised tampering and all
service or repairs must be carried out by qualied engineers trained to Cornelius’ stan-
dards of competence.
Please read the warranty carefully and note the exclusions listed. Should any claims
become necessary make them through the Cornelius Service Centre on 800-238-3600.
A warranty and customer questionnaire card has been enclosed with your unit. Please
return this card to ensure the validity of your warranty and to help us improve our cus-
tomer service.
The Focus dispenser is only one product from a complete range of drinks dispense,
refrigeration and catering equipment.
Simply mark the warranty card and return (postage paid) for information on any of our
products manufactured for use in the leisure industry.

GENERAL INFORMATION
Focus can be used to dispense cold milk in cafeterias, schools, hospitals, hotels, kitch-
ens etc. Any BIB Pre-Mix products such as avored milks (e.g. chocolate,
strawberry), soy milk, ice tea, juices, wine can be dispensed as well.

INSTALLATION
1. Always handle the unit carefully never tilt drop or place it upside down.
2. The unit should be stood on a solid counter or shelf. Ensure that there is adequate
ventilation around the unit. In particular ensure that the top and base of the unit is
clear of obstruction. Allow a 1” (25 mm) gap around the unit and a 4” (100 mm)
breathing space behind the unit.
3. Electrical supply required is 120 VAC and 60 Hz. The unit must be earthed. if in
doubt consult a qualied electrician. DO NOT SWITCH ON unit until the installation
has been completed.
4. Switching on: If the unit has been laying on it’s side then allow at least 8 hours in the
upright position before switching on. The unit should be left on at all times as a
domestic refrigerator. The temperature within the unit is controlled by means of a
thermostat. (Position No. 7 is the coldest). On the illuminated version the light ON/
OFF switch is located on the lower panel on the right side.
4.1 Plug in machine to 120V/15A dedicated
outlet
4.2 Check thermostat setting. Dial should be set
between 3 and 4 to achieve desired temperature.
(Adjust dial clockwise to make the cabinet colder.)
4.3 Turn switch ON to activate merchandiser
light.

MAINTENANCE
There are no user serviceable parts. Repair and maintenance should only be carried out
by a qualied service technician.
In order to maintain the efciency of the unit and retain safe hygienic conditions of the
bag-in-box milk a cleaning routine is essential.
MANUAL CLEANING INSTRUCTIONS
Daily
Wash Parts:
a). Remove and wash the dispensing valve, drip pan, and grill in a mild detergent solu-
tion. Rinse thoroughly.
b). Using a clean damp cloth wipe down the exterior cabinet and splash panel.
Weekly
Sanitize the Dispenser
a). Prepare the sanitizing solution by lling the 24 oz. Cup with warm (80。 – 100。F;
26.7。 – 37.8。C) water and dissolving enough sanitizer detergent in the water to ensure
200 ppm of available chlorine.
b). Remove valve from the unit (by unscrewing two
thumbscrews either side of the valve).
c). Rinse the valve in hot water.
d). Place the valve in the sanitizing solution and agitate vigorously. Allow the parts to soak
for two minutes and then rinse thoroughly with warm tap water.
CAUTION: Do not soak parts in solution over night.
Additionally, do not wash in a dishwasher.
e). Reinstall the valve.

Reinstall the valves:
e-1). Slide the valve body over the aluminum block
e-2). Insert the thumb screws and thread them in 1-2 turns but do not tighten.

e-3). close the valve door and tighten the front thumb screw.
e-4). Tighten the bottom 2 thumb screws.
f). Dispense a small amount of product to prime the system and prepare it for operation.
g). Wipe all internal and external surfaces of the cabinet with a clean damp cloth.

KEEPING AND USING FOCUS
1.Make sure the package is in good condition upon arrival and check date code stamp.
Contact suppler if any problems with the package.
2. Dairy based product and MUST BE KEPT UNDER REFRIGERATION AT ALL TIMES.
If dispenser is already full, store extra pack in normal refrigerator.
3. Ensure proper stock control-use oldest pack rst. (FIRST IN - FIRST OUT).
4. Do not use dairy based product that has been allowed to stand in the dispenser over the
weekend.
5. Do not allow dairy based product to freeze. Adjust thermostat to ensure product is dis
pensed between 32。F and 41。F..
6. Keep equipment clean at all times.
CHANGING BAG-IN-BOX PRODUCT
1. Ensure the box is empty.
2. Remove box and tube from tap.
3. Insert new box.
4. Push back operating lever and hold to keep tap open.
5. Feed dairy based product delivery tube through slot into correct location, release
lever to lock.
6. Cut off delivery tube ush with lower face of tap body.

CONDITIONS EXCLUSIONS
WARRANTY
I. The goods described under this contract
shall be of normal industrial quality unless
specically stated to the contrary, and shall
meet any specication laid down in the
contract.
2. It is for the purchaser to satisfy himself
that the goods are t for the purpose for
which they are required.
3. For a period of TWELVE MONTHS from
the date of delivery, the company will
repair or replace free of charge any
component parts proven to be defective
as a result of faulty materials or
workmanship.
All other warranties or conditions as to
quality and conditions (statutory or
otherwise) are excluded.
The Company gives no warranty as to
tness for purpose, unless specically
stated in writing to the contrary. The Company will not be liable for the cost
or repairs to the unit arising from:
i) Wilful damage or neglect.
ii) Disregard of Company’s installation and
operating instructions, including
inadequate ventilation or blocking of air
vents, failure to provide a suitably rated
and safe electrical supply, or failure to
install the unit on an even, level surface.
4. The company will carry out repairs or
replacement either through its own
engineers or through approved
contractors.
5. This warranty is applicable only to the
original purchaser of the unit, or in the case
of multiple purchases, to
the FlRST customer of the original
purchaser at the FIRST site location.
iii) Damage to exterior or interior casing of
the unit due to, but not limited to,
corrosion, scratching, denting, etc.
iv) Failure of light bulbs, tubes or starter
assemblies.
v) Damage arising from dismantling, transit
or reinstallation. The company will not be liable for the cost
of repairs effected by third parties without
the company’s prior consent and approval.
No transfer of warranty is possible beyond
the FIRST customer or the FIRST location.

Trouble Shooting
1. Light bulb has burnt out/ change the graphic Turn side panel switch OFF. Remove graphic and cover. Twist to remove bulb. Replace. Turn side panel switch back ON. Replace graphic and cover.
If bulb replacement does not x, check light ballast.
2. Machine not cooling Check voltage to the compressor Check voltage to the thermostat
Call in third party capable of performing refrigeration xes
3. Machine freezing up Turn thermostat control counter-clockwise to warmer setting
4. Product too warm Was product pre-chilled before added to the machine?
Conrm cabinet temperature is below 42 degrees.
(Thermometer on back of door should read in highlighted zone.) Turn thermostat clockwise to colder setting. Check ventilation louvres for restriction or blockage. Clean.
Conrm condenser fan is running.
Check fan for binding or lack of operation.

5. Product not dispensing properly (freeze-up) Check for kinks in the pinch tube from the product packaging thru the dispense valve channel Turn thermostat counterclockwise to warmer setting while maintaining max. 41 de gree cabinet temperature
6. Product taste “off” Check “use by” date on product package.
Conrm product not past “discard date”
Storage temperatures prior to opening should be between 40 and 81 degrees.
