INTRODUCTION

Before attempting to use this product, please read this manual thoroughly and follow the instructions carefully. In doing so you will ensure the safety of yourself and that of others around you, and you can look forward to your purchase giving you long and satisfactory service.

ENVIRONMENTAL RECYCLING POLICY

Through purchase of this product, the customer is taking on the obligation to deal with the WEEE in accordance with the WEEE regulations in relation to the treatment, recycling & recovery and environmentally sound disposal of the WEEE.
In effect, this means that this product must not be disposed of with general household waste. It must be disposed of according to the laws governing Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) at a recognised disposal facility.

GUARANTEE

This product is guaranteed against faulty manufacture for a period of 12 months from the date of purchase. Please keep your receipt which will be required as proof of purchase.
This guarantee is invalid if the product is found to have been abused or tampered with in any way, or not used for the purpose for which it was intended.
Faulty goods should be returned to their place of purchase, no product can be returned to us without prior permission.
This guarantee does not effect your statutory rights.

SAFETY PRECAUTIONS

1. This worklight must not be immersed in water. Don’t touch the lamp when your hands are wet.
2. Do not look directly into the lamp when switched on as this can damage the eyes.
3. Do not use this worklight if it has a broken lens or casing.
4. Do not attempt to disassemble or repair the worklight.
5. Never unplug the charger by holding the cable. Unplug by holding the plug.
6. Do not leave the worklight unattended when switched on. Always unplug the worklight when it is not in use.
7. Ensure the lamp is a safe distance from other objects in the working environment.

ELECTRICAL CONNECTIONS

WARNING! READ THESE ELECTRICAL SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS THOROUGHLY BEFORE CONNECTING THE CHARGER TO THE MAINS POWER SUPPLY.
Before switching the product on to charge, make sure that the voltage of your electricity supply is the same as that indicated on the charger. This product is designed to operate on 230VAC 50Hz. Connecting it to any other power source may cause damage.
This product incorporates a plug-in charger which cannot be re-wired. If lost or damaged, it must be replaced from your Clarke dealer.
If in any doubt, consult a qualified electrician.
This symbol indicates that the charger/lead is an electrical Class II product, and does not possess an earth connection.
This symbol indicates that the lamp assembly is an electrical Class III product, and does not possess an earth connection.

CHARGING THE BATTERY

1. Charge the battery before using the worklight for the first time and after every occasion of use if possible.
2. Charge thereafter, at least every 90 days or when needed.
3. Always avoid leaving your worklamp in a discharged state.
FOLLOW THE ABOVE POINTS TO ENSURE MAXIMUM LIFE FROM THE BATTERY.
Two means of charging the battery are provided:
1. Via a 230V mains electricity supply, using the mains adaptor/ charger, shown.
2. Via a 12V supply using a vehicle cigarette lighter adapter with cable and plug provided.
NOTE: Using a 12V vehicle supply,
the battery will not charge to maximum, but only to approx. 50% of its capacity.
A 3 amp fuse is fitted into the cigarette lighter plug adaptor, accessed by unscrewing the two halves of the adaptor. Take care not to loose the spring when unscrewing this cap.
The worklight should operate for approx 2 hours when fully charged and it can be used while on charge.

CARE & STORAGE

1. Always switch off when not in use.
2. This product should be stored in a secure, dry place, out of the reach of children. DO NOT leave it exposed to the elements and avoid direct sunlight, direct heat, rain/moisture etc.
3. Keep the external surfaces clean. Avoid impact damage & do not allow this product to come into contact with abrasive or corrosive materials.
4. Do not use solvents, thinners or alcohol for cleaning, as these chemicals will damage the finish. With the lamp unplugged from the power supply, use a dry cloth to wipe over the lamp components.
5. The LED light source cannot be replaced but has a life expectancy of approximately 20,000 hours.
6. Never use unauthorised accessories or attachments which may cause personal injury or damage to the product.
