The CLARKE hole cutter set is a quick & easy way to cut clean, accurate holes in sheet metal up to 15 gauge (1.8mm) when used as directed.

SAFETY PRECAUTIONS
Thank you for purchasing this CLARKE Ratchet Handle Metal Hole Cutter Set.
Please read this information sheet thoroughly and follow the instructions carefully, in doing so you will ensure the safety of yourself and that of others around you, and you can look forward to the tool giving you long and
satisfactory service.
1. ALWAYS learn the applications, limitations and the specific potential hazards peculiar to the tool you are using. Read and become familiar with all operating instructons.
2. ALWAYS wear good quality industrial gloves.
3. ALWAYS wear safety goggles, manufactured to the latest European Safety Standards. Everyday eye-glasses do not have impact resistant lenses, they are not safety glasses.
4. ALWAYS check for damage. Before using the tool, any damaged part should be checked to ensure that it will operate properly and perform its intended function. Check for,breakage of parts, mountings, and any other condition that may affect the tool’s operation. Any damage should be properly repaired or the part replaced. If in doubt, DO NOT use the tool. Consult your local dealer.
5. ALWAYS keep work area clean. Cluttered areas and benches invite accidents.
6. ALWAYS keep children away. All visitors should be kept a safe distance from the work area, especially whilst using the tool.
7. ALWAYS keep tools clean and maintain them in good condition for optimum performance.
DIRECTIONS FOR USE
1. Drill a 10mm pilot hole in the workpiece.
2. Pass the small arbor through the 22mm diameter guide with the open end of the guide facing the work, and then through the pilot hole as shown on the previous page.
3. Screw the 22mm diameter cutter onto the arbor with the cutter facing the workpiece and tighten until the cutter bites into the workpiece.
4. Locate the 19mm socket onto the arbor and attach the ratchet handle.
5. Use the ratchet & socket to tighten the arbor assembly as shown until the cutter cuts through the metal.
6. When the hole is created, unscrew the components and discard the disc of waste metal removed.
7. The hole produced by the 22mm cutter will be suitable for use as a pilot hole for the large arbor which is then used with all the larger cutters in the same way.
8. Dismantle and store all components in the case provided.
