GENERAL SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

listed below may result in electric shock, fire or serious personal injury. The warnings, cautions, and instructions discussed in this instruction manual cannot cover all possible conditions and situations that may occur. It must be understood by the user that common sense and caution are a factor which cannot be built into this product, but must be supplied by the user.
SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS
To avoid a circuit overload when using this pr oduct, do not operate another high­wattage product on the same electrical circuit.
Avoid the use of an extension cord because the extension cord may overheat and cause a risk of fire.
SAVE ALL INSTRUCTIONS!
CAUTION: A short Power Supply Cord is provided to reduce the risk of personal
injury resulting from becoming entangled in or tripping over a longer cord. Extension cords are available from local hardware stores and may be used if care is exercised in their use. If an extension cord is required, special care and caution is necessary. Also the extension cord must be (1) marked with an electrical rating of 250 V and at least 13 A., 2000 W., and (2) the cord must be arranged so that it will not drape over the countertop or tabletop where it can be pulled on by children or accidently tripped over.
ELECTRIC POWER
If the electric circuit is overloaded by other appliances, your heater and/or appliances may not operate properly. The humidifier should be operated on a separate electrical circuit from other operating appliances.
POLARIZED PLUG
This heater has a polarized plug (one blade is wider than the other). As a safety feature to reduce the risk of electrical shock, this plug is intended to fit in a polarized outlet only one way. If the plug does not fit fully in the outlet, reverse the p lug. If it still does not fit, contact a qualified electrician. Do not attempt to defeat this safety feature.
SAFETY WARNING
Although this appliance is easy to operate, for your safety, the below warnings must be followed:
1. Do not place the appliance near a heat source.
2. Never leave the appliance unattended while connected to the electrical outlet.
3. To avoid any accidental burns, never place hand on top vent or side w hen the appliance is in operation.
4. Use the appliance on a stable surface away from water.
5. Do not unplug from the socket by pulling on the supply cord.

ASSEMBLY

OPERATION AND USE

WARNING: Do NOT use this tower heater if any part has been under water.
Immediately contact Crane Customer Care or a qualified electrician to inspect or replace the heater if necessary. Keep plastic wrapping away from children.
1. Open the packaging, take the unit out and unscrew the Cover Fixer.
Be responsible when handling the packing materials.
2. Insert the Glass Base into the bottom of the unit and screw on the Cover Fixer.
3. Place the unit upright on a flat floor before use.
1. Place the heater on the floor in the desired location.
WARNING: Keep combu stible materials – such as furniture, pillows, bedding, papers, clothes and curtains —at least 3 feet from the front of the heater. Also keep them away from the sides and rear.
2. Ensure that the heater’s Power is Off.

When the temperature in the room is lower than 15°F, the display will show "LO" (low temperature). When the temperature in the room is higher than 99°F, the display will show "HI" (high temperature). When the temperature is in the range 15 - 99°F, then the display will show the actual temperature in the room.
There are 6 buttons on the remote control. Their function is equiva lent to the functions of the touch sensors on the control panel of the device. If you wish to use the remote control, point the remote control at approximately the level of the control panel with the display. The maximum signal range of the remote control is 6 meters. If you place the remote in such a way that the transmiss ion of the signal is blocke d by barrier, the signal may not be transmitted at all.
SAFETY PROTECTION SYSTEMS
This unit has protection safeguards that shut off the unit when components become excessively hot or if it tips over.
TIP OVER SWITCH
This heater has a built-in safety feature to automatically turn off the device when it is tipped over. If the device falls over this function serves as protection against a dangerous situation.
OVERHEAT PROTECTION
The heater has an inte rnal, over-heating safety device which automa tically switches the heater off if an over-heat situation is detected. If this should occur, unplug the appliance and wait until the unit cools o ff. Once the unit has fully cooled, you can sw itc h it on again.

MAINTENANCE
CAUTION:
Always be sure that the heater is switched OFF, unplugged and complet ely cooled before cleaning or attempting to store the item. Do not immerse heater in water or allow water to drip into the interior of the heater, as this could create an electric shock hazard.
Please Note: Regardless of the type of heating system setup, a lways install and
maintain at least one smoke detector in good working condition on each floor of your home. Periodically check and/or replace the battery in your smoke detector with a fresh battery.
CARE AND CLEANING
1. Always turn off the heater and disconnect the cord from the electrical outlet
before cleaning your heater.
2. Light accumulated dust may be removed from the heater with a soft cloth or
vacuum cleaner.
3. Clean the outside of the heater by wiping with a da mp cloth and buff with a dry
cloth. DO NOT use any detergents or abrasives and do not allow any water to enter the heater. DO NOT allow water to run into the interior of the heater as this could create a fire or electric shock hazard.
4. The f an motor is lubricated for life and will not require further lubrication.
AIR FILTER
Dirt and dust may be caught on the air filter during operation. The caught dirt and dust may negatively affect the function of the device. So clean the air filter regularly. Remove the grill for the inflow of air from back part of the device. Remove the air filter from the grill. Wash the filter by hand in a lukewarm solution of water and detergent. Then rinse the filter in clean water and allow it to dry thoroughly. Place the clean, dry filter back into the back grill and attach it to the device. Do not use the device without the filter and back grill being installed.
STORING
Allow the appliance to cool complete ly bef ore storing. Store the appliance in a dry location. Do not place any heavy items on top of appliance during sto rage as this may result in possible damage of appliance. Store the cord in a clean, dry location away from metal objects. Always check the plug before use to assure metal items have not become attached

This warranty is void if the defect is due to accidental damage, misus e, abuse, neglect, improper repair or alteration by unauthorized persons, or a failure to follow operating instructions provided with the product. This warranty does not apply to normal wear and tear or commercial use.
