OPERATION
Remove and safely discard any packaging material or promotional labels before using the electric mills for the  rst time. Wipe your electric mills over with asoft, damp cloth and dry thoroughly.
Inserting batteries
To insert the batteries, grasp the stainless steel shaft with one hand. Using the other hand, turn the compartment anti-clockwise and remove the shaft. Insert 6 x AAA alkaline batteries (LR03) according to polarity graphics in battery compartment. Replace the shaft and turn clockwise to the position. Ensure the mill is correctly assembled, you will hear aclick.
If you do not use the mill for alonger time, always remove the batteries.
NOTE
Filling compartment
The electric mills are intended for grinding crystal salt and pepper. Before using salt, please refer to salt manufacturer whether its salt is suitable for grinding in electric mill. Some varieties of salt (for example rock salt) are not suitable for grinding in amill. To  ll the compartment, grasp the stainless steel shaft with one hand. Using the other hand, turn the compartment anti-clockwise. Remove the shaft. Then remove the motor with inserted batteries. Fill the compartment with crystal salt or pepper to ¾ of total compartment capacity. Assemble the mill the opposite way you disassemble the mill.
Operation of mills
To operate the mill, press the operating button. Untill you loosen the operation button, the grinding process will continue.
Adjusting the grind
Electric mills allow you to adjust acoarseness of grind. The coarseness of grind can be set from coarse to  ne grinding according to the meals you wish to season. For acoarse grind, turn the dial at the bottom of the mill anticlockwise. For a ne grind, turn the dial at the bottom of the mill clockwise.
Cleaning electric mills
To clean the mill shaft, wipe the outside with adamp soft cloth and dry thoroughly. Do not use steel wool, scouring pads or abrasive kitchen cleaners as they will scratch the mills. To clean the inside of the salt/pepper compartment, at  rst remove any excess salt/ pepper. Clean the inside with adry brush with soft hair. Be careful when cleaning grinding blades. These are sharp and risk of hurt.
Never immerse the electric mills in water or any other liquid. Do not place mills or any its part in the dishwasher.
NOTE
Storing mills
Store mills in adry and cool location, like akitchen cupboard. This will help prevent the salt from higher temperatures and humidity. If you do not use the mills for alonger time, always remove all batteries.
